Random Genetics Mod Generational Save «12...Next Go

Mikezumi

I recently installed a new Random Genetics Mod and am playing a generational save to test it.

I moved Eddy Mullis in with my Jason Momoa sim.


They hit it off quickly and were soon engaged


As soon as they both rolled the wish to get married, I obliged

Because the goal of this game is to test a genetics mod, it didn't take long before the family were three


Welcome Jed


The mod did its job when Jed was born.

I don't do babies so Jed was immediately aged up.


The toddler stage is set for 6 days so Jed had lots of time to get his toddler skills.


Jason got pregnant while Jed was still a toddler.

Then there were four! Welcome Jade

Jade, like Jed, was immediately aged up.


As Jed had already completed his toddler skilling, the boys had an easy time with Jade.

Jason entertained Jed while Eddy taught Jade how to talk.

Although I was planning on at least one more child, I wanted the boys to have a break so there were no more pregnancies before Jed aged up.






Jed is the only child I have ever played who checked for monsters under the bed!

Jed only had to wait a few days for a playmate. Happy birthday, Jade


Jade is artistic and wanted to learn the painting skill as soon as she aged up.

Jason had another baby not long before Jed aged up to teen.

He's a very handsome sim!

One of his earliest wishes was to play with his little brother

He hooked up with his future husband, Donal, the day after he aged up (It is a genetics save, after all )

Edyson wanted to learn the fishing skill. He had a little trouble in the beginning

Eddy and Jed were about to play catch when they found Jason skinny dipping. Jed cheered his dad and Eddy took advantage of the situation to steal his clothes

Jed, who loves the outdoors, is always rolling fishing wishes. Edyson also seems to roll a lot although it doesn't seem trait driven in his case.

The wishes to fish before 6am are a nuisance because I like my sims to get a good night's rest. Still, I am all about the wishes, so I do indulge them

Here are some random family shots while taken before the next baby arrived. I am not taking many screenshots of this save but I have noticed that Jed seems to feature the most in my pics - he won't be heir but he's definitely a bin keeper!

Jason is the only family member who autonomously uses the Karaoke Machine.


The family had a day at the beach.



Jason, being athletic, autonomously uses the MA equipment and often rolls MA wishes so I had Jed learn the skill to help fulfill the sparring wishes.


Although the whole family went to the bowling alley for the day, I only have a pic of Jed

They ended the day with a meal at the Bistro.


I heard baby chimes. I thought three kids was enough but the boys must have thought otherwise

Jason is a green thumb and when he grew his first ghost chili Eddy used it in the family meal


The constant wishes to take a photo with a friend annoys me but it's always fun when it fails. So far, none in this save have.


Jade now has a boyfriend, Keanu, and he and Donal joined the family for a meal


Baby time!

Welcome Jayden I was worried that my choice of heir would be made more difficult when I learned they were having another boy but it wasn't the case because Jayden wasn't what I was looking for genetically for an heir.

Instant birthday! The blonde in the background is the son of Jamie Jolina and Connor Frio. He came home with one of the teens.

With teens in the house, raising a toddler is super easy!

I got tired of Jayden being a toddler so I aged him up early since he was fully skilled. In fairness, I did give him back the days I stole when he was a child. His dads were there but I forgot about the wall in the kitchen

I forgot to give him glasses on his birthday but he got some later.


I've turned off autonomous pillow fights but when the boys rolled the wish at the same time I let them have it.

I was sad when Jed aged up to adult because he's a lovely sim but he isn't heir so had to go.

Donal aged up the same day and was added to the household the next morning.


The boys didn't have a lot of time together during the day because I wanted to get Donal set up in a career that suited him and to get him started on the right skills. I let the boys have together time in the evening and it wasn't long before they were engaged

Keanu moved in during the night and graduated with Jade the next morning


I almost missed the proposal but am glad I got there in time because I discovered that Keanu had aged up with the Clumsy trait


I knew that Jed's baby was due so I found him in map view. I found him outside his house

Although I have "sing with" tuned out for autonomy, I let my boys sing together since Jason is always singing by himself and, before I tuned it, would often interrupt Eddy's painting/guitar playing to sing.


Craig Jolina, son of Jamie and Connor Frio, came home from school with Edyson.


I saw that Josh was at the shopping centre so I sent Edyson to meet with him. I saw them interacting by looking at Edyson's thumbnail but when I physically checked on them they were watching the stars


Jayden came home from school with a wish to go on a submarine adventure


The family attended Darlene Bunch's party. While they were there I saw a fight but didn't know it was Sam Sekemoto and Yvonne Keaton until the dust settled


I saw Jed taking Louise for a stroll outside the house so I invited them over





Although Louise was teleported home before long, Jed stayed for Jayden's birthday

Edyson and Eddy had fishing wishes which was perfect because I sent them while Jason was teaching Jayden how to drive.



I found Mandy, Jayden's future wife, at the Town Hall so I sent Jayden to meet her

Good thing he'd passed his driving test because Mandy agreed to come home with him

I found Jason tutoring Edyson when they got home.

I invited Josh over to spare Edyson from the tutoring and had him train Josh in MA so he will have a sparring partner when they marry. Josh is athletic so would love this

Dang that girl works fast! She knows what she wants


Jade and Keanu had a son, Kent. When he aged up to toddler, I took him into CAS for a look.

Jason's LTW is to have A Perfect Garden. He mastered the gardening skill a while back so I had the boys take care of the gardening on the weekend so he can have a break.


I sent the family to the park and there were over a dozen sims, not counting the family, there and it was getting a little sluggish.

Everyone had fishing wishes so I sent them to a fishing hole instead. John, Josh's father, was the only other sim there and there was no lag.

Edyson and Jason fished autonomously but Eddy wanted to play his guitar. Jayden, a party animal, was happy to dance along

What better way to end the afternoon than with freshly caught fish


The day wasn't over, though, and the family attended a party thrown by Mason Jolina.

Mason tried to be a good host by preparing a meal for his guests but he burned it

Jamie's other son, Craig, was chatting with Jonathan Landgraab.

I don't normally indulge the wish to catch a death fish but Jason was one of the lucky ones

It's 3am so what the heck is Bella doing at the cemetery with her toddler!?

There were no guests for Edyson's birthday but the family cheered loud enough for a crowd

Eddy and Jason aged up just before they went to bed. The only witness was Edyson who had been doing MA in the backyard at the time. I woke them after I had saved for the day to take these pics.

Josh joined the household in the middle of the night. Eddy looks like he's wondering how he got there

Josh, being Family Oriented, wasted no time in proposing I was actually hoping that Edyson would do the proposing because I thought it would be nice to keep the family name. I know I can change it after the fact but I now think a change of name doesn't really matter.


I sent Jason and Eddy to the park and they bumped into Jed


I need to hit Retuner! I rarely play FO sims and had forgotten about the "Improve skills" interaction. Josh must have got to Jayden because he's not the type to choose exercise on his own.


The family would be portered to a fresh copy of SV during the night so I took a pic of the family tree to help my failing memory when setting them up

I was glad when Josh found his dad at the bowling alley because I was planning for he and Edyson to marry while there

It's good that Edyson taught Josh the MA skill when they were teens because he has someone to spar with now

Jayden had a fieldtrip and Vita (pregnant) was chaperone. I was surprised they made it all the way through the fieldtrip because she had the baby not long after!

Josh and Edyson went to the library to read pregnancy books when Josh discovered he was pregnant with their first child


Because Jayden is always rolling Mandy wishes, I often send him to her house after dinner. When I checked on him I found Mandy's father looking a little sad that someone else had stolen his girl's heart


Edyson and Josh graduated I didn't take a pic of Josh because he didn't get a graduation gown and instead had changed into a career outfit that I would never have picked!

One of the most unexciting interactions in the game but Josh rolled a wish for it


Jody will grow up well but would have made an absolutely gorgeous son!

The grandpas are handy to have around when the boys are otherwise occupied Jayden couldn't help out because he and Mandy were headed to the bedroom!


Jody learned how to walk at the park. Because is family oriented toddler training goes much faster! Edyson is chatting with Jed's father-in-law.

Her dads were otherwise occupied, so she chatted with Grandpa Jason


Josh seems to do a lot of the skilling but it makes sense because Family Oriented sims do it so much faster!

He's a cutie but had to go. With two elders, two young adults, a child and a toddler, I didn't have the strength to bring his girlfriend Mandy into the household to set her up so I moved him in with her.

I sent the family to the park for the afternoon.


Bessie Clavell's time ran out while they were there and poor Jody witnessed it.


Josh got his notice while they were at the park and I also saw a popup that Jayden and Mandy had got married and were having a party. They didn't invite the family but I sent them anyway!



I took a pic of Jed and Donal arriving but forgot to get one when Jade and Keanu arrived a little later. It was a great opportunity for the family to catch up


Jed loves the outdoors and also got the Angler trait recently. Although Jody doesn't have any traits that would make fishing a priority, she does roll a lot of fishing wishes so I sent her fishing with her dad when they both had fish wishes
