There are a few threads about it in the Game Packs section.

In short, it is a bug hybrid (since Hybrids aren't supposed to exist). Your sim will go up on vampire points and spellcaster points respectively if they do things that would increase them, but you'll only see the spellcaster progression and not have access to the Vampire perks, because you have the spellcaster perks.

Yes, it’s a hybrid child. This technically is a glitch because the game isn’t programmed to specifically allow it. They can be fun, but be careful because they can be really buggy (especially when taken to CAS).

Thanks for the replies! Too bad it's buggy. A Vampire Mage sounds like it would be really fun to play.

I hope they work out the kinks. A Vampire Mage is a pretty good incentive to get both game packs. Hear that EA?? wink, wink, nudge, nudge...
