For some reason toddlers get a lot of hate, but IMO TS4 toddlers are as good, maybe better than TS2's and they are the best executed part of 4

After reading the one thread about more realism in jobs where they all have the same opinion, I would like to say: I like the jobs how they are. I don't need any job interviews with declining and behind a university degree or layed out jobs or more stressful events with being forced overworking hours in my game. That's what I had enough to dealt with in reallife and I'm happy being not in this situation right now, I don't need a constantly reminder for my near burn-out situation in the past.

I think they get a lot of hate because of how broken they can be, like w/o mods I know that sim toddlers will refuse to stay in the high chair while you're trying to get the food, because they think they're being "abandoned" or something. So they'll force another sim in the household (teen and up) to come and get them out of the chair because their AI doesn't have a wait timer. Like I know it's realistic, but ffs, sims will drop quied activities to bow to the whim of the toddler.
Give our Vampires back their fangs!!! Reverse the Nerf!!! Occult simmers should not be shoved aside for the "realism players"! It's time Occult lovers/players started to demand equal treatment. #JusticeForOccults

I find TS4 university completely boring game play wise.

I think the Star Wars pack is a great pack and it's actually really immersive. The CAS is one of the best and most creative collections they've done and has a lot of versatility for fantasy/sci-fi concepts.

    In addition.
I prefere to have much more small lots 20x15, 20x20, 30x20 and 10x15 for tiny houses and more apartments instead of huge lots.

Yes!!!! I love building tiny houses. When I've done larger ones (and not even mansion sizes, just medium sized houses), I never know what to do with all the extra room.

I agree - I recently had a couple sims go through uni doing distinguished degrees with 4 classes each week - I was worn out getting them to get their presentations ready, practice etc, then their term papers and research and piles of homework on top of that - I wanted to get through it as quickly as we could! There was no time for a social life/uni events etc and several times they ended up doing all nighters studying.

Unpopular opinion is I won't be buying the Sims 5 if its announced!

The sims as a video game is like a spoiled broken teenage girl who pretty much just keeps hiding under cover up and cover up of makeup.. underneath it all is a broken game.. the sims 3 litterly caught my computer on fire it was so broke.. and all she does is keeps demanding more money you'd think If a game is broken and they released fix it would be something to compensate their disappointed fans but, instead it was basicly another base for more and more expansions that drains money outta pockets just to wind up with another broken game that will eventually be released again in the same fashion.. so no 5 for me no matter how good the graphics look I know that sick little twisted girl is hiding underneath the makeup

I don't love TS2. Let me explain, it's a good game but I have no nostalgia attached to it. I came into the franchise toward the end of TS3. There are things about TS2 that I do like but it's just whatever for me. It doesn't hold my interest as much as TS3 & TS4. :#

I do not care for an open world.

Let me explain: I think we would be better of without one. However that doesn't mean I like the one plot system in The Sims 4. We need bigger neighborhoods. We need to live in a street that actually feels and is alive. With families that have their own daily routines, drama and parties etc. If they can manage to make it very active and interesting in an open world than sure, but otherwise I rather have them somewhat restricted.

I will definitely not buy it straight away. I don't really like how this franchise is so 🐸🐸🐸🐸 backwards. "Haha, how fun. Here we go back to an empty shell of a game and in the coming years they will start to sell us similar packs that they already did in the last games. Exciting!!" I just don't get the fun in that and why people except it.

Of course they are not going to have time for socialising if they are taking four classes a week! I sent a sim for six weeks and had loadsa parties, gatherings, went to uni events and still ground out an A+ degree.

    Unpopular Opinion:

I never minded the TS3 Store and wouldn't mind if something similar was implemented again. Sometimes I buy packs just for a few of the build/buy items and if we could buy just individual items from the packs I would like that.

    - Sims 4 has fun gameplay, I get more enjoyment out of it than any other installment.

@Chicklet453681 I agree! I miss TS3 store too! Far more opportunities for fun and new things in between packs (which can be a very long wait if 1 or 2 you’re not interested in come out!) The gondolas! The pizza oven! Even the Man Cave collection 😂 There’s so many unique items jampacked with way more gameplay than even comes in a whole pack these days.

I don't know how ya'll did it since Sims 1. Restarting over every time from a base game. It would have drove me crazy. This is the first Sims game I've bought DLC for and I don't know if I could do it all over again.

DLC didn't really start until Sims 3, as far as I know. Also, a lot of simmers were children when the series began in 2000. My 6th birthday was two months away when the original game came out, but I started with a console version at 9. I didn't Sims 1 and Sims 2 until I was a teenager.

Sims 4 is actually the first iteration I'm been with from its release date, which is I hate it feels like the weakest game. I was originally excited for it.

Yes, that's correct. Every iteration has had DLC, although it wasn't "technically" DLC (as in Downloadable Content) because you bought physical discs back in the day.

And TS1 only had Expansion Packs:
    • The Sims: Livin' Large
    • The Sims: House Party
    • The Sims: Hot Date
    • The Sims: Vacation
    • The Sims: Unleashed
    • The Sims: Superstar
    • The Sims: Makin' Magic

I loved Makin' Magic. I want a witchy carnival world back so badly.

I really appreciate what the loading screens accomplishes in unlimited world travel, and lots available for living, in every one of the many worlds belonging to the game; and the unlimited possibilities in building large and complicated, cluttter-filled builds; all at the same time as I can play the game on the same computer I bought for the predecessor, where I follow strict rules not to completely overload the game and ruin the game experience.

I like the flexible gender system in CAS, that makes all sorts of sim narratives possible.
