I use a mod which makes one sim place individual serves for each sim called at the table. Each meal is individually assigned so sims know which chair to go to. I still have problems when the family is large because they will get in each other's way occasionally but, after a little arm waving, they will try again. If they get stopped twice it gets cancelled but it's easy enough to just tell them to try again by clicking on their serve.
I am not fond of many adult hairs which have been converted for children because they are just too much and it reminds me of toddlers in tiaras but fortunately I have been able to find some that are not over the top. I don't like most female hairstyles for adults either because my tastes tend towards "natural". I often wonder if some girls I see don't get up an hour or two before their husbands to maintain an illusion of beauty!

That's exactly why I said I loved her hair, because it looks natural and most custom toddler/children hair seems to be exactly like you said, Toddlers in Tiaras. I appreciate some like them though - they are pretty but I just can't do it. It's too much, just like you said.
That's why Niella's and Karlie and even Shari's hair are easy. I can't french braid but I've dreamed of simply throwing a quick braid like she has to keep my hair off to the side (how I like it irl lol) I tend to value other things more than my hair, makeup, etc. I guess. You know, like, just about everything. lol

Keanu's waking wish was to grow an outstanding potato plant. He helped River with the gardening after planting a perfect potato seed
Kier's waking wish was to fish Mikezumi's was to catch a great fish and Shannon's was to find some seeds. They had already started a game of catch so I let them have it before giving them their wishes.
Rian didn't have a waking wish so I let him do what he wanted
Keva didn't have a waking wish but rolled a wish to talk to Keanu over breakfast. Vera's was to play catch and, although I forgot to take a pic, she got it by playing with Keva before I sent them fishing as both had fish wishes locked in.
I saw a seed nearby and sent Shannon to get his wish while Mikezumi got her fish wish
I sent the family to the beach for the day
Keanu, Rian and Vera were the first to go swimming. They went quite a distance from the lot before entering the water
I was relieved when they swam near the lot because I like to keep an eye on swimming sims, especially children!
Kier caught his first salamander and rolled a wish to catch 5 different kinds of fish.
It's a good thing that the sharks from fishing spawners aren't dangerous because Rian got really close to one!

One of Keva's school friends arrived and she went to comfort him. He must have lost someone recently.
Mikezumi and Keva went for a swim

One of Rian's school friends arrived and started fishing. I loved the way Rian turned to smile at him while he was playing catch with Vera

I sent Mikezumi to prepare a meal when the sun started to set.
Although Mikezumi called the family to meal, several of them must have been out of range and had to grab a plate when I found them.
I sent the family home because it was getting dark on the beach. So much for lighter pics because everyone chose to play outside!
Keanu rolled a wish to play a game with Keva early in the day and he finally got his wish
I felt terrible that I had forgotten Keva's birthday!
I quickly teleported Keanu, River and Vera so they could celebrate with her.
I hadn't seen Mikezumi and Shannon for a while and found them in the bathroom
Keva had been talking to River and he must have told her to improve her skills because she went straight for the pool. The family oriented trait can be handy in getting kids to do their homework or go to bed but I hate this particular interaction. I should tune it out.
I have never seen River do this but know that it's from the brooding trait which he and Kier share.

I really need to have the family collect Shannon's rocks because they are getting really thick now! I do send someone out from time to time to collect a few but Shannon keeps breaking more space rocks!

Keva's waking wish was to be BFF with both Kier and Rian. Kier and Rian are already BFF and I didn't want to upset either of them. River had a wish to play a game with Keva from the day before.
The boys finished the gardening when the kids left for school.

I saw woohoo in Keanu's queue and was surprised when he chose the hot tub because it's quite far from where they were gardening.

River fished autonomously and caught his first piranha He wanted to learn the bait so I had him fish with minnow and he rolled more piranha wishes
This was just before Keanu leveled up

Keva is the first of the teens to have a problem with her driving lesson. I had to reset her to stop her from running so she could get her final driving skill point.
