Science Career - Stuck on First Day Message

I have a sim in the science career, and each day she goes, she gets the first message "Daily Experimentation". I think that's the one. Either way, she has the same tasks every day, and I'm afraid it's holding her back from a promotion. Any tips to fix this?

Sometimes in the career your sims need to keep doing the same tasks each day, and inventing the same items. If you feel that it is taking a long time for them to be promoted, you can use a cheat to promote them to the next level.
Type into the cheat bar
testingcheats true
Press enter
Type in
careers.promote Scientist
Press enter

Thanks! She has already been promoted to level 4. But I've played the career before, and each day is usually a random message. But each day for her, it's the same one.

If you have cc/mods in your game, move your whole mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and see if the same thing is still occurring when they go to work.
Repairing the game may help. To do that, go to games library in Origin, right click on the sims 4 picture and click repair

Try deleting the cache files and see if that helps
