Missing sims from family tree?

Hello, i have a problem with my family tree. It had about 6 generations, and it was fine before, but i started playing again recently and some sims are just appearing as blank silhouettes with no names, also half of my family tree has disappeared, even when i look at it from the first ancestors view (which used to show the whole family) But i can still play all these sims in game. I guess that's fine but I just like to look at the family tree sometimes.
I heard it might be to do with culling, and i had my max sims limit set to 200, and i have 170 sims. I also have the no culling mod enabled so i'm not sure why this has happened
