I know this is guess work but until Sims 4 completion, what is the required spec you think a PC will need. My currant PC was built in 2011 but was high end at the time and has lasted me well.
I suffered a Graphic card failure a few weeks ago borrowed my husbands old Nvidia 760 but am suffering really bad lag on one lot. Its a lot i built myself so i know no cheats where involved, has lots of plants though. Which to me means there is something else wrong, the age of my PC suggests new one, over upgrade which is why i am here.
These days if a game does not have a pause option i am no longer interested so really only looking at stats to get me through, next few years of Sims 4.

You could configure something from psspecialist however it will be above budget as they are more expensive and need to be configured to adds better power supply which adds $$

With that particular one you will need to add one of the corsair TXm power supplies which would add a minimum of 75 to the total. The standard power supply is rubbish.
If you can spend a little tiny bit extra i would get the chillblast red box (first link) Then hit customize click on the memory box and click on the 16GB DDR4 3000MHz memory (2x8GB sticks) this would most likely be corsair ram so better then the basic. The other specs should be enough to last you the series without issue. the desktop can easily be upgraded later down the line if need be too.

Thanks, have been looking at similar builds. Forgot AMD processors existed though.
