is it safe to remove ts4 folder?

I have younger relatives coming over tomorrow who desperately want to play the game and I don't want them messing up my families so I was wondering if I could I just remove the sims 4 folder and open the game so it has nothing on it? and when they leave just put the old folder back?

I think if you move the 'The Sims 4' folder in \Documents\Electronic Arts, then you should be good to go

You could do that. A new sims 4 folder will be generated and they could then start a new saves game on that.
Afterwards, the new sims 4 folder can be replaced by your old sims 4 folder.
