Downloading game help please?

OK my pc has 4 different drives all rather large except for "C", as c is a SATA drive which is only for Microsoft updates and data. So my question is, how on earth do I download my games onto another drive (I do know how to send downloads to another drive no problem), but also need all game updates\patches and saves to go to the same drive as the game? I don't want anything going to "C" drive, including game folders, as I can't afford to upgrade the SATA drive again and can't take a chance of windows updates running out of space. Please help?

Also now having error codes while trying to download from origin. Basegame downloaded no problem, but no ep's, Gp's, or sp's are downloading, getting errorcodes for all

It would also be best to move your Documents folder to the D drive ( or whichever other drive you want to install your Game onto ) also.

Make a new folder on the D drive where you want to install the game and name it.
To change where the sims 4 game is installed , go to Application settings in Origin , and the setting will be under "Installs and Saves " Browse through until you can find the new folder that you have created on the D drive. Set that folder as the place to install the game.

Thank you Rose, I kind of suspected this much but my main concern is, if moving the documents folder to D with the game, will this mess with anything system wise which may use the documents? And I really need to know why I am getting these download errors, is there a bug going around for this?

Moving the Documents folder shouldn’t cause any issues. It is just a new location and shouldn’t affect the programs that use it.
With the error codes, try disabling your firewall and anti virus programs for a short while whilst downloading and see if that helpx.

okj so far it's working Rose, thank you so much. It's ashame we need to do this honestly, EA should know better! OK I have a biggie, as you said I could place documents on the same drive without consequences...., SO now my dilema...., I have drives C (SSD Microsoft only), D which I plan to put the sims 3, E where I have the sims 4, and F where I plan to place the sims 2.... SO how will this work with documents lol? I don't want any of my sims on the same drive because the lag it causes to sims 3, so here my dilema What to do?

The documents should work okay whichever drive that you have them on. You will need to keep the save games etc of each of the Sims game versions in Documents wherever it is installed.
