Brand new teen found a job while autonomy was off

So I downloaded a family from my own gallery and moved the teen out of the house into a household with an adult. I did not want him working because of the scenario I'm playing. I generally don't allow teen Sims to get jobs until they've achieved an A in high school, anyway.

I went to play another household.

When I went back to that household a few RL minutes and about eight Sim hours later, he had a job. Not only did he have a job while autonomy was off, but I kept getting the notice that he was late for work while the adult in the household was on a date at the Romance Festival. I ended up having to cancel out the date and force the teen to quit the job I never had him apply for in the first place.




Why is this going on when I have autonomy turned off?

PS: the only mod I have is that one that makes vendors work for free. No other CC or mods.

autonomy has nothing to do with that, if you don't want sims to receive jobs randomly, you have to mark them as played.

I not only marked him, I did play the household. I just went to check on another household while they were sleeping. When I re-entered, it said he was late for work.

It's a different issue, but I have seen buggy things related to the one you posted, @rosemow
The hospital patient bug is particularly annoying.

I have noticed that since the update, I only get the option to hire Sims the household knows as a caterer. I don't mind it right now because that's actually kind of accurate for a university situation (students doing part time work as caterers or working in the cafeteria), but I could see it becoming an issue with my legacy family in another neighborhood.
