King Aagda and Queen Naida Moyrn are the rulers of the Fairy Realm and the Fairies in all the lands. Their eldest son Prince Kailon and heir to the throne died a tragic death approximately 6 months after the disappearance of his wife Princess Nissa. You can still see the sadness in their faces even though it has been 22 years since the tragedy. The family still mourns the loss of Kailon, firstborn son and heir to the throne and his pregnant bride, but, life goes on.
Prince Finnian is heir to the throne and he married Princess Daria after they were joined by the Fates. He fell in love with her and she with him and they have been blessed with three children. When their first child was born he brought the light back into the Realm. Kaifindar, named after Kailon as well as his parents is a quiet and studious teen. Dannif is a rambunctious and curious child, and Finnissa is a lively toddler and the joy in her Grandpa's heart.
Princess Asteria, is the only daughter of the King and Queen. She married her soulmate Aaron about a year ago. She is a serious young lady and the Fates picked a rock singer with a hearty sense of humor for her mate. Between Aaron and Merry no one wants to sit on the furniture in the castle anymore or take showers. So far, they have not been blessed with children.
The youngest son is Prince Merry and his name matches his personality. He is always up to mischief and has a happy go lucky attitude about life. He keeps the inhabitants of the castle and the Realm on their collective toes as he spreads his brand of cheer through the land. He surprised everyone when he went to university to study science and graduated with honors on the deans list. He remains single but enjoys dating the potentials. The Fates have not chosen a soulmate for him yet.
@bekkasan What a fun family! They have been struck by tragedy but I'm sure the arrival of children will help heal the King and Queen's hearts a bit. Finnian and Daria's children are adorable. I think Kaifindar will grow up to be very handsome. It's funny how love works sometimes. I bet Asteria would not have imagined falling in love with someone that is the opposite of her. It's like they're two halves of a whole. Hopefully kids are on the way! Merry looks so cheeky and cute, but at least he knows how to knuckle down and study hard. I hope he gets the shock of his life when he meets his soulmate
@coco Thanks so much for your comments. The children did make a difference in easing the sorrow in their lives. I do agree that Kaifindar is going to be handsome. I peeked! I don't think I can play everyone of the sims I've created in this save, but he might just get played later. When I was looking around in my bin for a fellow for Asteria I kept going back to Aaron. He is one of my favorite sims that a friend from the Daily Deal thread years ago made and shared. I changed his looks just a tad, hair color and skin is all I think. I was wondering how they would get along since they are opposites, but just in the brief time I was in that save building and setting up scenes they are so cute together. Aaron was true to his beginnings (which was to be a singer...so I changed it to one man band for this save), and started playing the baby grand in the castle, so I bought him a couple of other instruments too. lol I love Merry! He turned out to be such a happy sim and he will get played. I've already started writing notes in my notepad for him.

They are a very traditional fairy family, it seems, it's interesting that they still wear "traditional" fairy/royal clothes.

"Sweetheart, do you need me to bring you anything from the Realm? I am prepared to talk with the King and Queen. They need to know about Adam before they start hearing rumors regarding the man in Dragon Valley who looks like Prince Kailon. I will take the results of the DNA tests and the picture of Adam and Alice with me. I'm optimistic the King will listen and be accepting of Adam. He is extremely protective of his family. I'm anxious as to how he will react."
"I cannot think of a thing I require from the Realm. My vegetable garden is doing so well since you brought the soil from the Realm to mix in my garden. I think my vegetables are indeed better than the ones I used to grow in the Realm."
Anastasia looks thoughtful as she thinks about the King and his reaction. "I do hope the King will be able to accept Adam. I know how hard it was for us after Nissa disappeared and when Kailon died we knew Nissa was gone as well. The King changed overnight into a frail, depressed old man. We all thought he was going to die of heartbreak, and I believe only the love of Queen Naida kept him from fading away. When Kaifindar was born to Prince Finnian and Princess Daria it helped to ease his heartache and set him back on the path to living. I know that birth convinced us to have the twins and what a blessing they have been in our lives."
Nickolas laughs. "Yes! A blessing and a trial as well. But, I would not have it any other way." He hugs Anastasia and gives her a slow kiss that makes her wish he was not leaving right away.
Nickolas walks to the arboretum and enters quickly. He waits until the door closes completely. He carefully pushes through a large curtain of wisteria that blocks a hidden path. A portal to the Realm is hidden at the end of the path. Using his magic, he unlocks the seals and enters the portal and transports to the Realm.
In a breathless moment he is instantly transported through the portal to the arboretum in the Realm. He shakes off the disorientation that invariably accompanies the brief trip and exits the building. The familiar scent of the tulips surrounding the arboretum is intoxicating, and he breathes deeply feeling his body relax in the welcoming atmosphere of the Fairy Realm.
He sees the King walking towards him. He bows respectfully before his King. "Aagda, you are looking well since we last met."
Aagda clasps his hand. "My dear friend, it is splendid to see you here. A surprising visit at this time of the year, but a welcome one. Those grands of mine are undoubtedly keeping me young. We are eagerly hoping that Asteria and Aaron will not wait longer to have children. They have been married for over a year. You are looking fine as well. How are Anastasia and the twins?"
They chat for several minutes and the King, never one to shy back asks Nickolas why he is visiting the Realm unexpectedly. "Has something happened?"
Nickolas nods and smiles. "Yes, I believe we should go to the castle to have this talk."
Nickolas and Aagda walk together to the castle chatting about their children.
King Aagda and Nickolas sit together in the King's office. Nickolas relates the remarkable story of Adam's arrival in Dragon Valley and his intensive search for his mother's family.
"His search led him to us...the Willowisp family. Anastasia fainted when she saw him as she genuinely thought he was Kailon. He looks just like his father."
The King snorted. "You were tricked by an excellent con artist! I sincerely hope he was sent packing."
"No, Aagda, hopefully when you discover the rest of the fascinating story you will realize he is Kailon and Nissa's son. I brought a photo of Adam and his wife to show the striking resemblance.
Nickolas carefully places the photograph on the wall and Aagda looks at the young man in the photo.
"Very well, he does favor my side of the family. But that does not mean he is Kailon and Nissa's child. Many children have been born out of wedlock that resemble the royal family. None are mine of course, but other members of my large family have had children before they were bonded or been unfaithful.
Nickolas shakes his head. "He is Nissa's child! We have confirmed the DNA. Nissa was pregnant with Kailon's child when she disappeared. You know how much she loved him and would not be unfaithful to him. I told you Adam's incredible story. He has Nissa's chest of priceless jewels, some that you yourself gave her. Aagda! Rejoice with us that Nissa and Kailon did leave behind a child that we can now love and cherish in our lives. He was our first grandchild and we were deprived of his early years. We can now share our lives with him and eagerly watch his family grow. His wife is pregnant with their first child. That will be our great grandchild, Aagda! You must believe me. I am not easily deceived. You know that."
Aagda stares at his lifelong friend with troubled eyes. He is not sure what to believe. Is it possible that Nissa did give birth to her precious child before she passed away? His profound grief when Kailon died nearly defeated him. He is afraid to hope that a part of his beloved son might still be present in this world.
Queen Naida arrives in the room. "I thought I heard voices. Greetings Nickolas! What brings you to the Realm?
Nickolas looks at King Aagda, and the King explains to his wife why he is visiting. She is stunned and studies the photo of Adam and Alice.
"You say he is definitely Nissa's child?"
"The testing confirms it."
She reaches out and gently touches the photo image of Adam. Tears glisten in her sad eyes as she runs her finger over his face. She looks tenderly at her husband.
"The marked resemblance is uncanny. We must be properly tested to positively confirm this. Merry has been studying science for years, therefore let him use that degree and considerable knowledge to perform the testing, so that even you can trust the results."
"I cannot deny you anything, my dear. So shall it be." He squeezes her hand and holds it tightly." My word, if this is accurate, how will it affect the Kingdom? The child of our eldest son Kailon would become the heir, and he is a werewolf."
"My dear husband, we can deal with all that later. He must be Kailon's son since he is Nissa's son. Their bond was unbroken. Kailon died when she died. The Kingdom will require proof though, and the testing is the sole way to provide proof. I believe in my heart that this young man is our grandson. You must escort him to visit us right away Nickolas."
"He will not come anytime soon. His wife is with child and soon to deliver. He would not leave her side to travel here even to meet you as much as he is anxious to know you. I will be going back today as I want to be there for the birth as well."
Queen Naida sighs and looks at her husband. He shakes his head. "No my dear, I am so sorry but you cannot travel to Dragon Valley. I cannot take the chance of anything happening to you. You will have to wait for him to be able to come here."
"I will try being patient my dear." She looks at Nickolas. "As soon as they are able to travel, please bring them here. I want to meet him and his wife and the babe as well."
King Aagda goes to the security panel and locates Merry. He calls using the intercom and asks Merry to come up to the office. Merry busily playing a video game with his nephew and brother hears his father requesting his presence.
"Oh criminy, what did I do now!"
He tells his father he is on the way.
He walks in the office and sees his Uncle Nickolas is visiting. (He is not a blood relative, an honorary title only.) He smiles and says a polite greeting and addresses his father.
Aagda explains about Adam and requests that he take several samples for a DNA comparison. "No problem, I can do the testing and see if this is for real. He looks at the papers that Nickolas brought with him and agrees that Adam is definitely Nissa's child.
"Is this like a state secret or can I tell Finnian about it?" Merry grins mischievously.
"Finnian and the rest will learn about it at dinner. You go get your testing equipment ready and take the samples after dinner."
Merry looks at the photo and agrees that the resemblance is there. "This will certainly stir the kingdom up when the news gets out!"
Merry makes arrangements with Nickolas that he will come to Dragon Valley tomorrow. Nickolas tells him to come by the house when he arrives and he will take him to Adam's and introduce him.

Now I understand why your pictures in the "What happened Thread" looked so different to the Dragon Valley world!
Did Nickolas travel to the realm or did you put him in the bin? Asking, because I´m curious how your family ties stay intact. (and how others play when they/you tell a story)
Poor Naida has to wait (like all we others, too! ) for the babies. I can understand that she would like to see Adam immidiately.
Hopefully Merry is capable of testing Adam correctly!

@AlexaKry Thanks so much for commenting Yes, Nickolas traveled to the Realm. I am using connected worlds using Nraas mods so that the families ties all remain intact. Knock on wood I have not broken any yet. With the connected worlds you don't have to bin them. I'm not sure how I'm going to work it with everyone wanting to come for the babies though! lol
I thought the same about Naida and I knew she would want to see Adam and not wait. I also knew Aagda is so fearful of the human realm he would not let her go.
hehe, you will have to wait to see what is in store for Adam.
I ended up working today so no play time. I will have to do paperwork tomorrow cause I'm too tired to think tonight. But, I hope to get some play time as well.
@bekkasan Sorry I didn't get to comment on your update sooner. This is so exciting! I love how you used the arboretum as a portal and gosh the Fairy Realm is so pretty. The path of tulips and exotic trees made me think of the Yellow Brick Road from The Wizard of Oz. Aagda seems like a wise and fair ruler. I was amused that he thought Adam as a con artist at first. It's lucky that Nickolas is so persuasive but I can imagine his reluctance to accept Adam/Kailon only to lose him again. I'm really curious about what this means for Adam's future since he is now the heir. Somehow I don't think he will actually want to live in the Fairy Realm forever if that means leaving his friends and family behind on the other side. Maybe he will abdicate or something. I also loved your ingenious idea of using the security alarm as an intercom
@coco Thanks so much for your comments. I thought the arboretum was a great choice for the portal to be hidden in. It is good that Aagda and Nickolas know each other well, and that Aagda is normally a kind person, unless his family is threatened. You may be onto something regarding Adam's reaction. I'm happy you liked the tulip path. That is one of my favorite pieces of cc and I don't use it as often as I should.
@meerkattime Thanks so much for your comments. The arboretum being a way to find fairies just was the perfect avenue to use as the portal in my mind. I really enjoyed making the lots for the Realm. Its fun using things like the unusual trees that I don't normally build with. The world is such a pretty little world and with the empty lots you can really have fun. Yes, the Queen would have gone right away but, respects her husbands wishes in this instance. She understands his fear of the human world. The human world may have changed some for the better in the years since Nissa's disappearance, but, he is taking no chances.
In Midnight Hollow, Victor and Gardenia are preparing for their trip to Dragon Valley. It is Josef and Jillian's birthday and Josef is looking at his cake and wondering what will be in store for him as a teenager. The party is starting and Josef makes his wish before blowing out the candles. Josef turns into a handsome young teen.
Now it is Jillian's turn. She makes her wish and blows her candles out. She turns into a beautiful young teen.
Victor wants some pictures of Josef and Jillian to take with him to show Alice and Adam and the rest of the family. The twins pose for him having some fun as he takes the pictures. They are so busy giggling and posing they don't see their Mom sneaking up behind them. She tweaks both of them on the back and they squeal and throw their arms around.
The teens receive last minute instructions from Mom and Dad on rules while they are away. Monty and Clarice Prince will be staying with the children as they have in the past when they both needed to be gone. Victor turned Monty and then Clarice at their request and they have become good friends of the family.
Josef smiles at his sisters celebration. "Jillian, don't forget Dad can hear our thoughts and will know what we are doing even from even a great distance because of the blood bond."

Rafe and Autumn teleport into Dragon Valley and following Adam's directions race to Red Dragon Lair. It's a dead heat finish as they enter the compound side by side.
They find Adam and Alice home alone at this time of the day. High fives, hugs and excited chatter mark the next several minutes. Autumn, who has known Alice since birth is still amazed that tiny baby is getting ready to have a baby of her own. Rafe first knew her as a teenager and is happy to see her healthy and happy. He chats with the baby and gives the baby a seafaring blessing for ease of passage into the world. Alice hugs him and thanks him for the blessing hoping for an easy labor.
Rafe enjoys the chatting and catching up on their lives, but soon is anxious to see the statues and other items they discovered in the underground chamber. Adam calls the others to come over and they all make their way to the blocked passage where they stored the items.
Jennifer has done some research on the house and found that it was built centuries ago by one of the favored knights of the Realm who was given the title as Lord and Governor over the lands of Dragon Valley. It originally was completely enclosed by the walls that would protect the inhabitants from invasion and provide ample vantage points to defend them as well. As the world changed so did the feudal system and Dragon Valley was no longer governed by a Lord. The property has changed hands many times over the years and become more and more run down with walls collapsing until the most recent owner started renovating as he intended to live on the property. He passed away before the renovations were completed and his heirs sold the property as they did not want to live in such an old, odd place. "The rumors about it being a home to Dragons must be true since Adam found a dragon egg which hatched recently."
Rafe thanks her for researching the house and agrees that it is very possible this was a sanctuary and breeding ground for dragons.
"The statuary is fascinating. Definitely elvish in nature. Certain elves are know to be friends to all animals, helping to care for them and protect them. A lot of the inhabitants of Dragon Valley are most assuredly descended from elves."
Autumn takes several close up photos of the statues while Rafe asks Alice to take him to see the strange door they discovered. He calls for Autumn to take some photos of the door when she finishes with the statues. "This is definitely a portal, not a normal door. The sequence to open the door is hidden in the runes. We must decipher the runes to discover the secret. It might take some time as the elves are very careful about the clues they leave. They also leave traps as well."
Rafe sends the pregnant ladies back upstairs as he is preparing to use his Magic Axe to bust down the rock slide that is obstructing the passageway. They are not thrilled with being sent away from the exciting exploration but understand the concern their loved ones have for their safety and the babies safety. The timing could not have been more perfect though. There is a knock on the door as they walk through the archway.
Victor and Gardenia, Alice's parents have arrived. Many hugs and kisses once more ensue. Introductions are also in order as Victor and Gardenia have not met Wisteria. Wisteria is charmed by them and disarmed by Victor's enthusiasm not having met very many vampires in her life.
Alice texts Adam and he hurries upstairs and happily hugs Victor and Gardenia who became his foster parents after he arrived in Midnight Hollow. Adam texts Marshall and invites the others to greet Victor and Gardenia. They all sit down in the living room and have a wonderful time chatting and catching up on their lives and families.
Once again Rafe has had enough of chatting. His curiosity is out of bounds. He sneaks away from the gathering too anxious to see what is hidden downstairs. He moves the statues with his vampire strength to safer spots away from the rock slide and prepares to use the Axe of Pangu. Even with the axe it takes several hits to get all the rocks out of the opening. Eventually the way is clear. As tempting as it is for him to go on ahead alone, he texts Adam and asks him and the others to join him downstairs. The passageway is lit with a luminous substance that is used in many tombs to keep from having to relight candles. He can see it appears to be quite a long passageway. Victor arrives with the others and they prepare to explore the new path.
About halfway down the passage is a ladder. Rafe climbs the ladder and is in a short passage. He easily finds a wall panel that allows entry into a room that obviously belongs to Dedric and Wisteria as he notes the picture on the far wall over the sofa. The entry into the room is a bookcase. He climbs back down and lets Dedric know about the bookcase that leads to the tunnel. The others are surprised that Dedric did not notice the bookcase was a false one. Dedric smiles and winks and reminds the others he has not been reading as much lately. Rafe laughs and claps him on the back while Adam and Marshall grin at their newlywed friend.
They arrive at the end of the passageway to discover another blocked entrance. Rafe makes short work of the boulders blocking the opening. They find another blockage as well as an ancient coffin. Rafe suggests they finish looking down the passageway before checking out the coffin. Rafe leads the way and until he reaches another blockage. "This is solid rock. The axe cannot cut through it. We will have to explore the other buildings to determine if there are anymore fake bookcases or hidden doors that lead into the underground areas.
Meanwhile, the ladies are upstairs chatting and enjoying each others company. Gardenia is doing one of her favorite things. Cooking for her family.

Babies soon! Passageways too!
Gardenia finishes preparing the meal and calls everyone to the table to enjoy the meal together. Adam and Marshall bring an extra table down from storage and gather up some extra chairs. Everyone finds a place and the talk is all about babies, secret passageways, babies, dragons, diapers, babies, swollen ankles, back aches and babies.
After dinner Dedric and Marshall clean up, while Alice and Adam show off the bassinet and nursery they have set up for the baby.
The family approves of the nursery and Gardenia sits in the rocker to make sure it is a comfortable rocking chair. She rocks back and forth as the others chat around her. She has a feeling she will be rocking a baby in this chair very soon.
Marshall and Jennifer challenge Dedric and Wisteria to a team match on the gaming system.
Rafe and Autumn cuddle together and chat for a bit before retiring for the night.
Victor reassures Gardenia over her fears about Alice and the baby. She is worried that something will go wrong. "Alice is as strong if not stronger than you and look how many babies you've delivered. She will be fine, and you know Adam will call us immediately if there is a problem."
"I tell myself that, but she's my first born child and I cannot help but worry."
Adam massages Alice's aching back and shoulders before they settled down for the night.
A few hours later Alice wakes up with labor pains. Adam panics immediately forgetting everything he read in the pregnancy books. He finally calms down enough to send out a group text to let everyone know Alice is in labor.
Gardenia awakens before the alert goes out instinctively knowing her daughter is in labor. She immediately does a spell to protect mother and child during the birthing. Victor takes her hands and squeezes them and they teleport to the kitchen to fix coffee and await the others who will surely show up.
Rafe and Autumn are already in the kitchen and Rafe has made the first batch of coffee.
The spell must have helped relax Adam as well as he stopped jumping around and went into cheering his wife mode. They changed clothes as Adam wanted to take Alice to the hospital but Alice shook her head no. She wants to have the baby here at home.
The others arrive yawning and grab cups of coffee to help them stay awake during the vigil. Anastasia and Nickolas arrive last and introductions are made. Victor and Gardenia are very happy to meet Adam's grandparents. Victor shares many stories with them as they wait. He tells about Adam's arrival in Midnight Hollow and how he lived in the forest for months before venturing out in the town. He signed up for school on his own and met several of the teens including Alice who befriended him. He explains how they became foster parents to him. Anastasia and Nickolas enjoy hearing the stories of his teen years and are so thankful that he was lucky to find a wonderful family to help him and love him.
"The fates guided him to us as he and Alice were destined to be together. Gardenia knew when she met him that they would become bonded. We both felt a kinship with Adam and admired the strength he had to overcome his beginnings and survive on his own for so long."
Alice is breathing into the rhythm of the contractions, and as the intensity and frequency increase she knows birth is imminent. Adam watches her carefully breathing with her as she goes through the labor. Screenshot-26 by sanann1989, on Flickr
With one last contraction the baby is born. A little girl and Adam stands stunned as he watches the birth of his daughter. ]
Alice wraps the baby in a pink blanket and holds the baby so Adam can see her. Adam takes the baby from Alice and snuggles her close. He counts fingers and toes and notices that she has Alice's hair color and his eyes. "Is she a were or a witch? he asks Alice. Alice looks into her eyes and speaks a soft spell. "She is both, were and witch. Should make her toddler years interesting!" Alice laughs at Adam's stunned expression.
"My youngest brother and sister are both vampire and witch. It is not uncommon anymore to have a child with more than one ability as occults intermarry much more frequently these days. I'm actually surprised she is not a fairy as well."
Alice and Adam walk downstairs to introduce their daughter to the family. Everyone gathers around to take a peek at the baby. "Her name will be Kailena." They went with the tradition of combining family names, using Kailon and Helena since that is the only name Adam once had for his mother. She is brave which is a family trait and friendly.
Adam puts his daughter in the small bassinet. Victor had followed him over and immediately picks up his granddaughter. Everyone eventually has a chance to hold and snuggle Kailena. Kailena seems to enjoy the attention. Cooing and smiling as she is passed from one person to another. Everyone is enchanted by the newest member of the family.
Victor hugs his daughter. "I'm so proud of you and Adam and the family and friends you have surrounded yourself with. You two have made a wonderful home here and as much as we miss you very much we know how happy you are here with your friends and Adam. His grandparents seem to be very nice and certainly accepted him into their hearts."
Gardenia makes her daughter's favorite French toast breakfast and calls everyone to the meal. One couple is missing from the breakfast table.
Jennifer was not feeling very well. Marshall helps her into bed and lays down next to her. As she drifts off to sleep he relaxes and rolls over falling asleep himself.

I really can´t believe that Adam and Alice are parents know, in my thoughts they still are the teenagers who fell in love together in Midnight Hollow.

King Aagda and Queen Naida Moyrn are the rulers of the Fairy Realm and the Fairies in all the lands. Their eldest son Prince Kailon and heir to the throne died a tragic death approximately 6 months after the disappearance of his wife Princess Nissa. You can still see the sadness in their faces even though it has been 22 years since the tragedy. The family still mourns the loss of Kailon, firstborn son and heir to the throne and his pregnant bride, but, life goes on.
Prince Finnian is heir to the throne and he married Princess Daria after they were joined by the Fates. He fell in love with her and she with him and they have been blessed with three children. When their first child was born he brought the light back into the Realm. Kaifindar, named after Kailon as well as his parents is a quiet and studious teen. Dannif is a rambunctious and curious child, and Finnissa is a lively toddler and the joy in her Grandpa's heart.
Princess Asteria, is the only daughter of the King and Queen. She married her soulmate Aaron about a year ago. She is a serious young lady and the Fates picked a rock singer with a hearty sense of humor for her mate. Between Aaron and Merry no one wants to sit on the furniture in the castle anymore or take showers. So far, they have not been blessed with children.
The youngest son is Prince Merry and his name matches his personality. He is always up to mischief and has a happy go lucky attitude about life. He keeps the inhabitants of the castle and the Realm on their collective toes as he spreads his brand of cheer through the land. He surprised everyone when he went to university to study science and graduated with honors on the deans list. He remains single but enjoys dating the potentials. The Fates have not chosen a soulmate for him yet.

"Sweetheart, do you need me to bring you anything from the Realm? I am prepared to talk with the King and Queen. They need to know about Adam before they start hearing rumors regarding the man in Dragon Valley who looks like Prince Kailon. I will take the results of the DNA tests and the picture of Adam and Alice with me. I'm optimistic the King will listen and be accepting of Adam. He is extremely protective of his family. I'm anxious as to how he will react."
"I cannot think of a thing I require from the Realm. My vegetable garden is doing so well since you brought the soil from the Realm to mix in my garden. I think my vegetables are indeed better than the ones I used to grow in the Realm."
Anastasia looks thoughtful as she thinks about the King and his reaction. "I do hope the King will be able to accept Adam. I know how hard it was for us after Nissa disappeared and when Kailon died we knew Nissa was gone as well. The King changed overnight into a frail, depressed old man. We all thought he was going to die of heartbreak, and I believe only the love of Queen Naida kept him from fading away. When Kaifindar was born to Prince Finnian and Princess Daria it helped to ease his heartache and set him back on the path to living. I know that birth convinced us to have the twins and what a blessing they have been in our lives."
Nickolas laughs. "Yes! A blessing and a trial as well. But, I would not have it any other way." He hugs Anastasia and gives her a slow kiss that makes her wish he was not leaving right away.
Nickolas walks to the arboretum and enters quickly. He waits until the door closes completely. He carefully pushes through a large curtain of wisteria that blocks a hidden path. A portal to the Realm is hidden at the end of the path. Using his magic, he unlocks the seals and enters the portal and transports to the Realm.
In a breathless moment he is instantly transported through the portal to the arboretum in the Realm. He shakes off the disorientation that invariably accompanies the brief trip and exits the building. The familiar scent of the tulips surrounding the arboretum is intoxicating, and he breathes deeply feeling his body relax in the welcoming atmosphere of the Fairy Realm.
He sees the King walking towards him. He bows respectfully before his King. "Aagda, you are looking well since we last met."
Aagda clasps his hand. "My dear friend, it is splendid to see you here. A surprising visit at this time of the year, but a welcome one. Those grands of mine are undoubtedly keeping me young. We are eagerly hoping that Asteria and Aaron will not wait longer to have children. They have been married for over a year. You are looking fine as well. How are Anastasia and the twins?"
They chat for several minutes and the King, never one to shy back asks Nickolas why he is visiting the Realm unexpectedly. "Has something happened?"
Nickolas nods and smiles. "Yes, I believe we should go to the castle to have this talk."
Nickolas and Aagda walk together to the castle chatting about their children.
King Aagda and Nickolas sit together in the King's office. Nickolas relates the remarkable story of Adam's arrival in Dragon Valley and his intensive search for his mother's family.
"His search led him to us...the Willowisp family. Anastasia fainted when she saw him as she genuinely thought he was Kailon. He looks just like his father."
The King snorted. "You were tricked by an excellent con artist! I sincerely hope he was sent packing."
"No, Aagda, hopefully when you discover the rest of the fascinating story you will realize he is Kailon and Nissa's son. I brought a photo of Adam and his wife to show the striking resemblance.
Nickolas carefully places the photograph on the wall and Aagda looks at the young man in the photo.
"Very well, he does favor my side of the family. But that does not mean he is Kailon and Nissa's child. Many children have been born out of wedlock that resemble the royal family. None are mine of course, but other members of my large family have had children before they were bonded or been unfaithful.
Nickolas shakes his head. "He is Nissa's child! We have confirmed the DNA. Nissa was pregnant with Kailon's child when she disappeared. You know how much she loved him and would not be unfaithful to him. I told you Adam's incredible story. He has Nissa's chest of priceless jewels, some that you yourself gave her. Aagda! Rejoice with us that Nissa and Kailon did leave behind a child that we can now love and cherish in our lives. He was our first grandchild and we were deprived of his early years. We can now share our lives with him and eagerly watch his family grow. His wife is pregnant with their first child. That will be our great grandchild, Aagda! You must believe me. I am not easily deceived. You know that."
Aagda stares at his lifelong friend with troubled eyes. He is not sure what to believe. Is it possible that Nissa did give birth to her precious child before she passed away? His profound grief when Kailon died nearly defeated him. He is afraid to hope that a part of his beloved son might still be present in this world.
Queen Naida arrives in the room. "I thought I heard voices. Greetings Nickolas! What brings you to the Realm?
Nickolas looks at King Aagda, and the King explains to his wife why he is visiting. She is stunned and studies the photo of Adam and Alice.
"You say he is definitely Nissa's child?"
"The testing confirms it."
She reaches out and gently touches the photo image of Adam. Tears glisten in her sad eyes as she runs her finger over his face. She looks tenderly at her husband.
"The marked resemblance is uncanny. We must be properly tested to positively confirm this. Merry has been studying science for years, therefore let him use that degree and considerable knowledge to perform the testing, so that even you can trust the results."
"I cannot deny you anything, my dear. So shall it be." He squeezes her hand and holds it tightly." My word, if this is accurate, how will it affect the Kingdom? The child of our eldest son Kailon would become the heir, and he is a werewolf."
"My dear husband, we can deal with all that later. He must be Kailon's son since he is Nissa's son. Their bond was unbroken. Kailon died when she died. The Kingdom will require proof though, and the testing is the sole way to provide proof. I believe in my heart that this young man is our grandson. You must escort him to visit us right away Nickolas."
"He will not come anytime soon. His wife is with child and soon to deliver. He would not leave her side to travel here even to meet you as much as he is anxious to know you. I will be going back today as I want to be there for the birth as well."
Queen Naida sighs and looks at her husband. He shakes his head. "No my dear, I am so sorry but you cannot travel to Dragon Valley. I cannot take the chance of anything happening to you. You will have to wait for him to be able to come here."
"I will try being patient my dear." She looks at Nickolas. "As soon as they are able to travel, please bring them here. I want to meet him and his wife and the babe as well."
King Aagda goes to the security panel and locates Merry. He calls using the intercom and asks Merry to come up to the office. Merry busily playing a video game with his nephew and brother hears his father requesting his presence.
"Oh criminy, what did I do now!"
He tells his father he is on the way.
He walks in the office and sees his Uncle Nickolas is visiting. (He is not a blood relative, an honorary title only.) He smiles and says a polite greeting and addresses his father.
Aagda explains about Adam and requests that he take several samples for a DNA comparison. "No problem, I can do the testing and see if this is for real. He looks at the papers that Nickolas brought with him and agrees that Adam is definitely Nissa's child.
"Is this like a state secret or can I tell Finnian about it?" Merry grins mischievously.
"Finnian and the rest will learn about it at dinner. You go get your testing equipment ready and take the samples after dinner."
Merry looks at the photo and agrees that the resemblance is there. "This will certainly stir the kingdom up when the news gets out!"
Merry makes arrangements with Nickolas that he will come to Dragon Valley tomorrow. Nickolas tells him to come by the house when he arrives and he will take him to Adam's and introduce him.

Now I understand why your pictures in the "What happened Thread" looked so different to the Dragon Valley world!
Did Nickolas travel to the realm or did you put him in the bin? Asking, because I´m curious how your family ties stay intact. (and how others play when they/you tell a story)

I thought the same about Naida and I knew she would want to see Adam and not wait. I also knew Aagda is so fearful of the human realm he would not let her go.
hehe, you will have to wait to see what is in store for Adam.
I ended up working today so no play time. I will have to do paperwork tomorrow cause I'm too tired to think tonight. But, I hope to get some play time as well.

Adam's Quest
In Midnight Hollow, Victor and Gardenia are preparing for their trip to Dragon Valley. It is Josef and Jillian's birthday and Josef is looking at his cake and wondering what will be in store for him as a teenager. The party is starting and Josef makes his wish before blowing out the candles. Josef turns into a handsome young teen.
Now it is Jillian's turn. She makes her wish and blows her candles out. She turns into a beautiful young teen.
Victor wants some pictures of Josef and Jillian to take with him to show Alice and Adam and the rest of the family. The twins pose for him having some fun as he takes the pictures. They are so busy giggling and posing they don't see their Mom sneaking up behind them. She tweaks both of them on the back and they squeal and throw their arms around.
The teens receive last minute instructions from Mom and Dad on rules while they are away. Monty and Clarice Prince will be staying with the children as they have in the past when they both needed to be gone. Victor turned Monty and then Clarice at their request and they have become good friends of the family.
Josef smiles at his sisters celebration. "Jillian, don't forget Dad can hear our thoughts and will know what we are doing even from even a great distance because of the blood bond."

Finally they go to Dragon Valley and help with the babies!
The teens are adorable! I can´t wait to hear about their misdeeds!

Adam's Quest
Rafe and Autumn teleport into Dragon Valley and following Adam's directions race to Red Dragon Lair. It's a dead heat finish as they enter the compound side by side.
They find Adam and Alice home alone at this time of the day. High fives, hugs and excited chatter mark the next several minutes. Autumn, who has known Alice since birth is still amazed that tiny baby is getting ready to have a baby of her own. Rafe first knew her as a teenager and is happy to see her healthy and happy. He chats with the baby and gives the baby a seafaring blessing for ease of passage into the world. Alice hugs him and thanks him for the blessing hoping for an easy labor.
Rafe enjoys the chatting and catching up on their lives, but soon is anxious to see the statues and other items they discovered in the underground chamber. Adam calls the others to come over and they all make their way to the blocked passage where they stored the items.
Jennifer has done some research on the house and found that it was built centuries ago by one of the favored knights of the Realm who was given the title as Lord and Governor over the lands of Dragon Valley. It originally was completely enclosed by the walls that would protect the inhabitants from invasion and provide ample vantage points to defend them as well. As the world changed so did the feudal system and Dragon Valley was no longer governed by a Lord. The property has changed hands many times over the years and become more and more run down with walls collapsing until the most recent owner started renovating as he intended to live on the property. He passed away before the renovations were completed and his heirs sold the property as they did not want to live in such an old, odd place. "The rumors about it being a home to Dragons must be true since Adam found a dragon egg which hatched recently."
Rafe thanks her for researching the house and agrees that it is very possible this was a sanctuary and breeding ground for dragons.
"The statuary is fascinating. Definitely elvish in nature. Certain elves are know to be friends to all animals, helping to care for them and protect them. A lot of the inhabitants of Dragon Valley are most assuredly descended from elves."
Autumn takes several close up photos of the statues while Rafe asks Alice to take him to see the strange door they discovered. He calls for Autumn to take some photos of the door when she finishes with the statues. "This is definitely a portal, not a normal door. The sequence to open the door is hidden in the runes. We must decipher the runes to discover the secret. It might take some time as the elves are very careful about the clues they leave. They also leave traps as well."
Rafe sends the pregnant ladies back upstairs as he is preparing to use his Magic Axe to bust down the rock slide that is obstructing the passageway. They are not thrilled with being sent away from the exciting exploration but understand the concern their loved ones have for their safety and the babies safety. The timing could not have been more perfect though. There is a knock on the door as they walk through the archway.
Victor and Gardenia, Alice's parents have arrived. Many hugs and kisses once more ensue. Introductions are also in order as Victor and Gardenia have not met Wisteria. Wisteria is charmed by them and disarmed by Victor's enthusiasm not having met very many vampires in her life.
Alice texts Adam and he hurries upstairs and happily hugs Victor and Gardenia who became his foster parents after he arrived in Midnight Hollow. Adam texts Marshall and invites the others to greet Victor and Gardenia. They all sit down in the living room and have a wonderful time chatting and catching up on their lives and families.
Once again Rafe has had enough of chatting. His curiosity is out of bounds. He sneaks away from the gathering too anxious to see what is hidden downstairs. He moves the statues with his vampire strength to safer spots away from the rock slide and prepares to use the Axe of Pangu. Even with the axe it takes several hits to get all the rocks out of the opening. Eventually the way is clear. As tempting as it is for him to go on ahead alone, he texts Adam and asks him and the others to join him downstairs. The passageway is lit with a luminous substance that is used in many tombs to keep from having to relight candles. He can see it appears to be quite a long passageway. Victor arrives with the others and they prepare to explore the new path.
About halfway down the passage is a ladder. Rafe climbs the ladder and is in a short passage. He easily finds a wall panel that allows entry into a room that obviously belongs to Dedric and Wisteria as he notes the picture on the far wall over the sofa. The entry into the room is a bookcase. He climbs back down and lets Dedric know about the bookcase that leads to the tunnel. The others are surprised that Dedric did not notice the bookcase was a false one. Dedric smiles and winks and reminds the others he has not been reading as much lately. Rafe laughs and claps him on the back while Adam and Marshall grin at their newlywed friend.
They arrive at the end of the passageway to discover another blocked entrance. Rafe makes short work of the boulders blocking the opening. They find another blockage as well as an ancient coffin. Rafe suggests they finish looking down the passageway before checking out the coffin. Rafe leads the way and until he reaches another blockage. "This is solid rock. The axe cannot cut through it. We will have to explore the other buildings to determine if there are anymore fake bookcases or hidden doors that lead into the underground areas.
Meanwhile, the ladies are upstairs chatting and enjoying each others company. Gardenia is doing one of her favorite things. Cooking for her family.

Gardenia finishes preparing the meal and calls everyone to the table to enjoy the meal together. Adam and Marshall bring an extra table down from storage and gather up some extra chairs. Everyone finds a place and the talk is all about babies, secret passageways, babies, dragons, diapers, babies, swollen ankles, back aches and babies.
After dinner Dedric and Marshall clean up, while Alice and Adam show off the bassinet and nursery they have set up for the baby.
The family approves of the nursery and Gardenia sits in the rocker to make sure it is a comfortable rocking chair. She rocks back and forth as the others chat around her. She has a feeling she will be rocking a baby in this chair very soon.
Marshall and Jennifer challenge Dedric and Wisteria to a team match on the gaming system.
Rafe and Autumn cuddle together and chat for a bit before retiring for the night.
Victor reassures Gardenia over her fears about Alice and the baby. She is worried that something will go wrong. "Alice is as strong if not stronger than you and look how many babies you've delivered. She will be fine, and you know Adam will call us immediately if there is a problem."
"I tell myself that, but she's my first born child and I cannot help but worry."
Adam massages Alice's aching back and shoulders before they settled down for the night.
A few hours later Alice wakes up with labor pains. Adam panics immediately forgetting everything he read in the pregnancy books. He finally calms down enough to send out a group text to let everyone know Alice is in labor.
Gardenia awakens before the alert goes out instinctively knowing her daughter is in labor. She immediately does a spell to protect mother and child during the birthing. Victor takes her hands and squeezes them and they teleport to the kitchen to fix coffee and await the others who will surely show up.
Rafe and Autumn are already in the kitchen and Rafe has made the first batch of coffee.
The spell must have helped relax Adam as well as he stopped jumping around and went into cheering his wife mode. They changed clothes as Adam wanted to take Alice to the hospital but Alice shook her head no. She wants to have the baby here at home.
The others arrive yawning and grab cups of coffee to help them stay awake during the vigil. Anastasia and Nickolas arrive last and introductions are made. Victor and Gardenia are very happy to meet Adam's grandparents. Victor shares many stories with them as they wait. He tells about Adam's arrival in Midnight Hollow and how he lived in the forest for months before venturing out in the town. He signed up for school on his own and met several of the teens including Alice who befriended him. He explains how they became foster parents to him. Anastasia and Nickolas enjoy hearing the stories of his teen years and are so thankful that he was lucky to find a wonderful family to help him and love him.
"The fates guided him to us as he and Alice were destined to be together. Gardenia knew when she met him that they would become bonded. We both felt a kinship with Adam and admired the strength he had to overcome his beginnings and survive on his own for so long."
Alice is breathing into the rhythm of the contractions, and as the intensity and frequency increase she knows birth is imminent. Adam watches her carefully breathing with her as she goes through the labor.
With one last contraction the baby is born. A little girl and Adam stands stunned as he watches the birth of his daughter.
Alice wraps the baby in a pink blanket and holds the baby so Adam can see her. Adam takes the baby from Alice and snuggles her close. He counts fingers and toes and notices that she has Alice's hair color and his eyes. "Is she a were or a witch? he asks Alice. Alice looks into her eyes and speaks a soft spell. "She is both, were and witch. Should make her toddler years interesting!" Alice laughs at Adam's stunned expression.
"My youngest brother and sister are both vampire and witch. It is not uncommon anymore to have a child with more than one ability as occults intermarry much more frequently these days. I'm actually surprised she is not a fairy as well."
Alice and Adam walk downstairs to introduce their daughter to the family. Everyone gathers around to take a peek at the baby. "Her name will be Kailena." They went with the tradition of combining family names, using Kailon and Helena since that is the only name Adam once had for his mother. She is brave which is a family trait and friendly.
Adam puts his daughter in the small bassinet. Victor had followed him over and immediately picks up his granddaughter. Everyone eventually has a chance to hold and snuggle Kailena. Kailena seems to enjoy the attention. Cooing and smiling as she is passed from one person to another. Everyone is enchanted by the newest member of the family.
Victor hugs his daughter. "I'm so proud of you and Adam and the family and friends you have surrounded yourself with. You two have made a wonderful home here and as much as we miss you very much we know how happy you are here with your friends and Adam. His grandparents seem to be very nice and certainly accepted him into their hearts."
Gardenia makes her daughter's favorite French toast breakfast and calls everyone to the meal. One couple is missing from the breakfast table.
Jennifer was not feeling very well. Marshall helps her into bed and lays down next to her. As she drifts off to sleep he relaxes and rolls over falling asleep himself.

I really can´t believe that Adam and Alice are parents know, in my thoughts they still are the teenagers who fell in love together in Midnight Hollow.
Good to see that the garndparents get well together and that Anastasia and Nikolas were there as well.
