    Confused?

    I was planning on aging up my toddler today and I got a cake ready for him the night before. I grabbed it out of the fridge and onto the dining room table, where there was no option to add birthday candles to age him up. I'm super confused and I would love if somebody could give me some advice!

      place it on a counter. sometimes if you don't place it correctly you can't add candles, it's dumb.

      That seems to have fixed the issue, thank you so much! I was trying so many angles and removing chairs until the option finally showed up.

      I think that the cake has a much smaller foot print that the surface that it was placed on does. Which would make hard for a sim to reach the cake if place away from the edge of the surface such a table or counter top. I too have to put up with this when sending a sim to decorate something that they had just baked.
