Various City Living Bugs «1234567…28...Next Go

Just a small list of bugs I've experienced in-game so far. (City Living Specifically.)

• Time slowing down and skipping around periodically when in hyper speed.
  
• Sims continuing to sing after cancelling Practice Singing action. (Sims stop, but sound effect persists.)
  
• Unable to stop Sims from spray painting because action randomly disappeared from queue. (Choosing a different action does not help.)
  
• Young Sims coming home from school a few minutes after leaving.
  
• Apartment neighbors complaining about noise when nothing is happening.
  
• Sims defaulting to T-Pose when attempting to complain about noise to neighbors.
  
• Frequency of neighbor visits for food and entertainment too high. (Almost every time one of my sims pulls out food from the fridge...)
  
• Losing the ability to Go Here in own apartment. (This one really cheesed me off.)
  
• Neighbors randomly barging into Sims apartments uninvited.
  
• Festival apparel removes all accessories. (Not sure if this one is a bug or proper function. Had to reapply accessories in CAS.)

* Mods were not in use during gameplay.

I'm having a problem where it won't let me select the option to work from home. My game is modded, but how do I know which types of mods to try removing to fix this? Or is there another fix I could try first? Could custom content be causing this, or is it more likely a gameplay or script mod?

Move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if that helps the issues. If it does help, then put your mods/CC back into the newly generated mods folder in the sims 4 folder one by one or in batches and testing the game after each one to see which is the cause of the problem. Put one item or batch in , test the game , take it out. Then test another one, to find the cause of the issue.

The issue could be caused by both mods and cc.

Try avoiding going into buy/build mode after your sims go to work or school and test to see if the issues remain.

If the issue remains, and if you have cc/mods in your game, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if the issue is still there.

Just had GeekCon spawn for the first time, and it happened right on top of the Romance Festival that never ended, as in, the festival ended but the festival "stuff" never went away. All of the items in the festival are on top of each other and it's one big mess! Using Sims 4 on MacBook Pro.

Other simmers are having this issue also.
Wait until the next festival spawns in that area. Then have your sim attend it, and have them stay at the festival when it is ending until all the items disappear.

I'm having a problem where a sim will call mine, and talk about going to a party or an opera at a certain time...and then nothing happens. The time comes and goes, and nothing happens at all. I mean, it doesn't tell me if I'm supposed to take my sim to a certain place (cause really? where would the opera take place?!, and the party was at an abandoned warehouse in the fashion district, so again...🐸🐸🐸🐸?!) or if they're supposed to go on their own...anyone else know what's going on?

My sim lives in the apartment building shared with Salim Benali, and since I only used one sim, I turned one of the bedrooms into pretty much a skill room. I had him painting one night, probably around two in the morning, and Salim comes out and complains about the noise I'm making, even though the room I was painting in was on the other side of the apartment, furthest from his apartment. Then he proceeded to walk in and sleep on my bed for a few seconds before leaving.

Also, I'm not sure if there's a connection. But when my sim goes to work, time will speed up as usual, then it will slow down while hearts are coming out of the Benali's apartment.

Neighbours can still complain about noise even though the area of the room is not near their apartment. Perhaps you may need to paint at a later time in the day. Try seeing if the same thing occurs on a different day.

Sorry if posted elsewhere ... I'm having a glitch where I have sims sitting at a table or on a bench. If they start talking to each other everyone sat down suddenly jump outs and ends up standing position with the actions cancelled.

If you have cc/mods in your game, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if the issue is still there. If it has helped with the issue, put your mods/ CC back into the newly generated mods folder that is in the sims 4 folder one by one or in batches and testing after each one to see which is the causes of the problem.

If the issues still remain, repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. When this happens, try pressing pause, then waiting a few seconds, then press pause again, then try going back to speed level three and see if that helps.

I'm having an issue where my sims are unable to drink from the fountain during festivals. My game is modded but I removed the mod folder and I'm still having the same issue.

Try checking to see if there is anything that has been spawned near the fountain that could be causing issues or routing problems .

Repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair .

There was another simmer who had the same issue. Could you try testing in a fresh new save game and see if the issue occurs in that new save game also.

First, can someone send me a message and let me know how to post on these forums? I'd like to make a separate topic and there's not a link or button anywhere to click on to start one. I tried to google it but only came to how-tos on how to post an image.

Second, my sims' friendly relationship drops by a third, at random points. This has happened three times so far. They are dating, so I'll mention that their romantic relationship stays the same. This started happening after installing City Living. Relationships with other friends stay the same and are not affected.

There is usually a blue new discussion button at the top right hand side of the screen in the forum sections. But new discussion threads though may have been restricted for new members. You may not be able to start a new thread until you become a full member. This occurs sometimes, especially at weekends, even when previously you were able to start a new thread.
You need to have 50 points and 30 posts before you can become a full member and can then post pictures, have a signature, edit posts , post links and change your profile picture.This thread explains about it.
