Hello, I recently installed the sims 4 kids stuff-and started playing, it was a little slow but I was playing on my laptop which has both the sims three and four on. So while I was playing my game randomly glitched and brought up a bright white screen, I shut down my computer and reloged on, and it did the sameness thing. I did it for a third time, and guess what? Same bright white screen.....does anyone know ANYTHING that could help me?

If that doesn't help, you might have a hardware issue - many laptops don't meet Sims 4 requirements, and playing it on those will strain the hardware. Look up your DxDiag info, export it to a text file, and copy and paste it all here. It will take multiple posts, but that's okay. Here's how: http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/comment/13329932/#Comment_13329932
If you have cc/mods in your game, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if the issue is still there. If it has helped with the issue, put your mods/ CC back into the newly generated mods folder that is in the sims 4 folder one by one or in batches and testing after each one to see which is the causes of the problem.
Repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.
If the issue remains, it would be good to post your diaxdiag information, like luthienrising suggested.
To gather a DXDIAG on your computer, do this :
Press and hold the Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard
You will see a Run box in the lower-left corner of your screen
Type dxdiag in the text field
Click OK
Click the Save All Information button, found on the bottom of the DXDIAG report
Then copy and paste the information from where you saved it, to here in this thread.

If it's just the game, I would first check for bad CC as stated. If it's the entire computer going to a white screen, combined with that you mentioned it was a little slow, it's very possible that your computer simply isn't strong enough to handle the game, and that stuff pack finally pushed it over the edge. A dxdiag report, as mentioned, will tell us if your computer is strong enough for the game or not.

It is great that your laptop is working okay now

Your sims 4 game is linked to your origin account. After resetting your laptop, log into origin using the same account that you used to first register the game and packs , then click on the Games Library section, click on the sims 4 picture, then download/install it there. Then click the extra content button that is half way down the page. That will take you to a screen that shows you what game packs, stuff packs and eps you own. You can then redownload/install them there.
Before resetting your laptop though , make a copy of your sims 4 folder that is in Documents > Electronic Arts > ( then The Sims 4 folder is there ) and place it on an external drive.
Then after installing the sims 4 game onto the new computer, play it once to generate a new sims 4 folder.
In your sims 4 folder are your saves folder ( contains your save games) and the tray folder ( which contains your lots and households that you have uploaded to your library or have downloaded from the community gallery ) Replace the saves, tray, mods, custom music and screenshots folders that are in the new sims 4 folder with the same named folders that are in the sims 4 folder on your external drive. You will then have your old save games and creations etc to use in your game .

Hello.
To keep and transfer just your save games, you only need to save your saves folder.
It may though be good to make a backup copy of your tray folder and place it on the external drive, just in case you decide later that you would like to place back the creations that were in your library.

Yes,it works the same way with a memory stick. You don't need to be sorry at all! There are lots of different types of names for terminology and it can get a bit confusing

i've been playing ts4 for around 280 hours and after accidentally exiting the game, moments later after loading it up again i'm greeted with a white screen. after a few seconds i get a popup saying "The sims 4 is not responding..." and I've tried almost everything!
I've tried:
-Factory Resetting the Game
-Uninstalling The sims & Origin
-Changing the GPU for ts4
-Removed my mods folder
-resetting my laptop
-going through a disk check and repair upon startup
-Turned off origin in-game
-Repaired the game
-Tried in & out of fullscreen mode
I've tried basically everything and it's stressing me out! I don't know what happened, it was working perfectly fine before. is there anything i can do?
Hello @gaybeline
I am sorry that you are having this issue.
Try shutting down your computer completely. Start the computer again, then launch the game and see if that helps.
Try switching back to 32 bit mode and see if that helps. To do that ,
Go to Game Library in Origin . Right click on The Sims 4 picture.
Click on “Game Properties”. Click on Advanced Launch options.
Change the “When launching this Game” setting to “The Sims 4 32-bit”
