Tinker (TS2): Not too much happened with this family though they had a cute son named Tex.
Chibiusa: I found a sim version of Darklady Chibiusa (Sailor Moon) and decided to try it out on a simple living lot.
At first I tried to set her up with Nervous Subject, but it never quite worked out.
Ironically, she hit it off with Saphir who was one of the bad guys in the season of Sailor Moon she first appeared in.
Since the person who made her (I downloaded the CC) also had her be a magic user, I thought I'd have her build up her skills. And who is the teacher of Practical Magic? Why it's Bob Newbie (TS1).
Queen Chibiusa and Saphir have a deal. Saphir works in the gardens and tries to befriend the bunnies while she takes care of the chickens.
Here is their daughter, Reene. Which was Chibiusa's name in the Saban dub of the anime.
Spring, and the much needed fixing of the whole "landscaping" thing
I got rid of Little Simzee (the Cowplant). I only planted it to fulfill the Gardening Ambition anyway and with 4 people having keys to her house I don't want them to be eaten while Brigitte is out fishing or something.
Anyway, the yard / lot / landscaping looks okay now. I am not in any way good at that, but I drew inspiration from my parent's cottage: Mostly aesthetic chaos. Rustic by means of "what survives stays". Which, incidentally, tend to be old traditional flowers used in gardens for over a century or more (it's kind of impressive if you come across a plot in the forest where a cottage used to be and nothing is there except a few corner stones and huge rose and raspberry bushes. Old fashioned rose bushes only bloomed for a week or so but dangit they were hardy and can hold their own against the encroaching forest for a century).
Also: Brigitte showing her rebellious side: Everyone listens to Cottage Core and does Cross Stitch. She? She listens to Singer / Songwriter and knits. Typical Rebel, will ruin the youth!
Well, Week number 3 is almost over and not a lot of interesting stuff happened story wise. Lir did get a girlfriend, and I played around with some of the parenthood gameplay stuff.
I'm a bit disappointed by some of the animations for a teen braking curfew and going out after being grounded. I expected them to be more sneaky in their movements, something a little exaggerated. Grounding does have some interesting gameplay and story implications.
Ashley had a discussion with Don about what to do when the baby is born. He agreed that the baby could live with him for awhile. The baby probably won't live with him forever, this is just temporary. Ashley will also try to visit as often as she can.
Once Ashley got home from Don's house, she wrote jokes on her computer because she needs the comedy skill for work.
That evening, Ashley decided to try and actually tell some jokes at the lounge. No one really paid attention to her because Judith Ward was there.
Ashley was flirting a little bit with the bearded guy in the sparkly suit when suddenly Agnes Crumplebottom appeared
Ashley didn't listen and continued flirting with bearded guy (I think his name is Brice? I can't remember). Agnes wasn't happy about that.
Agnes eventually left, and so did Brice. Ashley needed a sim to kiss for the "kiss 10 sims" part of her aspiration. She ended up flirting with and kissing this guy. I also can't remember his name.
The next morning, Ashley had a brownie for breakfast. Not the healthiest choice but she's pregnant, so she'll do whatever she wants.
Ashley got another promotion and is now a Public Relations Coordinator. Her new uniform is kind of ugly but at least it's not that weird randomly generated outfit anymore.
Later, Ashley didn't have any food in the fridge so she got some ramen from a food stall nearby.
The next day, Ashley was due to give birth so she took the day off work. She spent the morning watching tv.
Pretty soon, she went into labor, so she headed to the hospital.
She brought Don but he left almost immediately. I'm pretty sure it was because he had work but I was hoping he might stay.
It's a girl! Her name is Summer.
When Ashley got home from the hospital, I had her age Summer up into a toddler immediately. Here's what she looks like. I gave her dark brown hair because she aged up with platinum blonde hair like Ashley's, and in my head that's not Ashley's natural hair color. This color is what I imagine Ashley's natural hair color is so that's what I gave Summer.
My sim has finished uni for the day and I clicked the button for her to go home, and the screen zoomed out and I was wondering what was taking so long.
I had to zoom and swivel the camera around really tight and go right down and discovered she had found a kiosk and was ordering food. It was winter and she was close to freezing and there she is stuffing her face!!!

I must say I LOVE the addition of the special "Winter food" kiosks that only appears in Winter: My standard order is clam chowder and warm applejuice.

Going to The Bramblewood with Regina and Amy Lyles!
Princess Roddy and Shine went over to The Bramblewood. They invited Regina Lyles and her daughter, Amy Lyles to join them. Shine and Princess Roddy arrived. Regina and Amy arrived soon after. 'Hello Princess Roddy!' Regina Lyles said, waving to the princess. 'Hello Regina!' Princess Roddy replied, cheerfully. He turned his attention to little Amy Lyles. 'Hello, Amy! Awww, what an adorable hairstyle! The flowers too!' the princess said, smiling warmly at the toddler. 'Thank you, Princess Roddy!' Amy replied, cheerfully. She ran over to the princess and hugged him:
Amy sweetly kissed Princess Roddy's cheek. The princess chuckled. The pair then chatted:
Shine smiled. Amy then came over to her. 'Can I have a snuggle, please?' she asked, politely. 'Of course you can, Amy! Up we go!' Shine replied, smiling. She gently picked the toddler up and they had a snuggle:
Shine carefully put Amy down on the ground. Princess Roddy noticed something. 'Are you wearing a lip tinting balm, little one?' he enquired. 'Yep, mummy helped to put it on!' Amy replied, smiling:
Regina Lyles chuckled. 'We don't want to have chapped lips in this cold, now do we, sweetpea?' she said, looking fondly at her adorable daughter. Princess Roddy changed into his feminine cold weather outfit and applied his makeup, including his lipstick sealer. 'You're so pretty, Princess Roddy!' Amy said, smiling brightly. 'Awww, thank you, Amy!' the princess said, happily. He gave Amy a big hug:

After tending to his animals, Princess Roddy set off for Serene Hearth with Shine. The pair arrived safely. Regina invited them in. Shine chatted with Regina, and Princess Roddy went upstairs into Amy's bedroom. 'Hello Amy!' Princess Roddy said, cheerfully. 'Princess Roddy!' Amy exclaimed excitedly. She ran over to the princess and gave him a big hug:
Amy sweetly kissed Princess Roddy's cheek. The princess giggled. The pair chatted to each other. 'Princess Roddy, look what I can do!' Amy said. Princess Roddy sat down on the sofa and watched. Amy changed into her everyday outfit and turned her music player on, setting it to the lullaby station. Then, Amy ballet danced:
Princess Roddy was amazed. After the routine was over, Amy curtseyed and turned her music player off. 'What did you think, Princess Roddy?' she asked. 'I'm impressed, little one!' the princess replied, complementing the toddler's ballet skills. 'Thank you Princess Roddy!' Amy said, squealing with delight. She then changed back into her cold weather outfit. Princess Roddy changed into his feminine cold weather outfit and applied his makeup. 'Princess Roddy? I have read about princesses in fairy tales. What are they like in real life?' Amy asked, inquisitively:
'Ah, the princesses in fairy tales are a lot different to those in real life, little Amy. They have the burden of representing their country, and it isn't easy getting to the top.' Princess Roddy explained:
'How did you become a princess?' Amy asked. 'Well, whenever a member of the Royal Furystrykar line takes the throne, they can choose their title. I chose the title of Princess when I took over from Cordelia Thebe.' the princess replied:
'As ruler of Simsonia, I have several jobs. One of them is judging trials that neither the Halls of Justice or the Platinum Halls of Justice can handle, and it's the toughest. However, I use my special abilities to help me make the right call, and there's also a jury in place whenever I'm judging a trial.' he added. 'Wow, Princess Roddy! I never knew that!' Amy said, fascinated. Later on, Amy Lyles played a toddler friendly matching game on a tablet:

Sims 4 Family: Benjamin, Shine, Princess Roddy, Sophia and Hamish Furystrykar and Shelly Heart. Princess Roddy is my avatar, and he's a boy!
I’m currently having that freaking irritating glitch where a Sim becomes ineligible to be a member of a club (in this case, they’re too old for a kids-only club), yet they’re still considered the leader. Their portrait doesn’t show up in the club panel, but they can still do things that only club leaders can, such as disbanding the club. Except disbanding the club just leaves my game stuck, and the only solution is to force quit the game. I’ve had this happen before and managed to resolve it somehow, but I forgot how! Ugh, so freaking annoying…
I managed to find a solution. There were only two club members left. I had one of them resign from the club, then got the remaining one to cancel his membership. The club then disappeared from the list. Maybe next time I make up a club for children, I just won’t set an age requirement. I never have anyone requesting to join a club I’ve created, I always add the members manually.
My Sim is at GeekCon. I just saw Darrel and Emilia Charm get into a rocket… judging by the pink hearts in the exhaust, I think they must be doing WooHoo! I’ve never had a Sim of mine do that before, nor have I seen it happen in-game. My Sims are fairly ‘conservative’ when it comes to WooHoo, they mostly do it in bed. Although I’ve had Sims do it in the Mua Pel’Am waterfall, and then I shared that photo after Keiko and Kai WooHooed in a bush at the Island Bluffs… my Sim is currently a teenager and single, so no WooHoo for him yet. But maybe I’ll experiment with rocket ship WooHoo in the future with him. I’m not sure yet whether I’ll have him become an astronaut, but perhaps rocket-building could be a (somewhat expensive!) hobby for him.
Today, I played with Genevieve and Darling. They moved to Strangerville and I gave them both a small makeover. Genevieve had to leave for work as soon as I loaded into the household so I couldn't get a good picture of her but here's Darling. This is her hot weather outfit.
Genevieve was feeling tense when she got home from work. She's a Lieutenant Colonel in the Military career.
After Genevieve was done eating dinner, she and Darling went to the bar so she could talk to other sims about Strangerville.
The next morning, Darling ate some breakfast before heading to work. She's in the athlete career.
Genevieve and Darling have both noticed people in this town acting strange. Genevieve really wants to try and figure out what's causing it.
Genevieve headed off to work
Genevieve and Darling also got a dog, a pit bull named Buzz. Darling took Buzz for a jog when she got home from work.
Genevieve headed straight to the secret lab once she got home from work. Other sims have told her it might have some clues as to what's going on and why people are acting so weird.
Genevieve and Darling are also working on planning their wedding. They don't want a big, fancy wedding so they're just having it at the park in Willow Creek. They set a date and it's coming up soon. I didn't get around to playing it yet but I probably will tomorrow.
After a rest, Princess Roddy changed into his feminine cold weather outfit and touched up his makeup, starting with his lipstick and lipstick sealer:

However, over Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Travis and Liberty find that Bryan is every bit the Geek, as they debate the plausibility of the new Green Ninja graphic novel.
In a flurry of wedding mania, Maakie Haas weds Hugo Villareal, a man several years her junior. Here, Hugo’s siblings, Max and Luna high five their big brother’s impending nuptials.
As Maakie prepares for the ceremony, she chats with Bella Goth, who is suffering from a bout of morning sickness, but still somehow manages to look stunning.

Jeannie is not a fan of the, well, she is not enthusiastic about Marcus’ choice of Nina. Akira is at a loss as to how to handle her mood.

The Wedding Cake is a huge success!
J. Huntington III is also getting married, and Akira buys several rounds at his “stag” party, being his boss and all.
Akira runs into Nina, Clara Bjergsen, and Yuki Behr after the guys leave the bar and takes the opportunity to get to know Nina a bit better.
Conversation overheard at Riverside Roost
Akira tells Jeannie about his chat with Nina.
AKIRA: I’m telling you Nie-Chan, Nina is crazy about Marcus, you should have heard her gushing about him.
JEANNIE: Oh, for Watchers sake, Sweetheart, of course she was all gushy in front of you, you’re one if his few friends here, I mean he’s in your Karaoke Club.
AKIRA: But, I’m telling you, she seems really nice, plus, I found out she’s not a Jazz performer like her mother. No, she’s a concert pianist. She plays that longhair music like you like, not like in bars and stuff.
JEANNIE: What? Really, are you sure about that?
AKIRA: Yes that Clara Bjergsen, who’s the president of that Upper Crust Club, BTW, was talking about her next big concert at the Fine Arts Center in San Myshuno, and I don’t have to tell you how classy that place is.
JEANNIE: Well, that does sound impressive, I admit. But, that family, I’m just not sure that a sweet natured, simple sort of man like Marcus is going to find those people easy to deal with. That Katrina’s carrying on with a man half her age, it’s worse than Maakie marring a barely legal boy, for Watcher’s sake, those show business people are not like us, I’m just saying.
AKIRA: Yeah, well, you get that a lot of people probably said the same thing about us, right, that a “rough around the edges” guy like me is not nearly good enough for a classy lady like you?
JEANNIE: Gracious, Akira Kibo, what a thing to say!
AKIRA: Come on, you know it’s true. I’m just grateful that your snobby side was totally overpowered by my charm and incredible good looks, that’s all.
JEANNIE: Snobby side? Me? Now just where did that come from?
AKIRA: Either that, or you’re still carrying a torch for Marcus Rowan, the jealous side of me prefers that it’s the snobbery, see.
JEANNIE: (chuckles) I think I’ve just been very effectively handled by my husband.
AKIRA: I’m definitely gettin’ better at this marriage thing.
(NOTE: OK, so I neglected to mention one of my guidelines in the “Prologue”, because, I was unsure if I would be able to stick to it. I really wanted to micromanage my game a lot less than I usually do. For example, not have a sim die prematurely in order to explore single parenting and a blended family. And, so far so good:
After Jeannie got some romantic possibilities, I rotated to their households to skill and career them up a bit, I wanted to “flesh” them out some more.
And I discovered Summer had a rather high romantic bar with Joaquin. And that Travis had a friendship with him, as well. So, I went with it.
I did not pick Jeannie’s romantic interest. I waited and waited. None of the men appeared with a flirty mood again unfortunately, so she just got to be really good friends with them. Then I sent her to the romance festival and Akira randomly showed up. So, after some Sakura tea, bingo.
Honeymoon, OK, try for baby, yes, but I had it set to 40% so it was possible it would not take, right?
Johnny Zest, married off to a random townie by MCCC and subsequent pregnancy by same. Bella Goth baby, also MCCC. Marcus also married to Nina through MCCC. The Romeo’s also married that way. I am letting MCCC do all the marriages and babies for the unplayed households, crosses fingers.
Travis and Liberty, OK, but that’s a given based on the game canon, right?
So, you see, I am trying to go with the random events and to have more spontaneity and less micromanagement in this game than I did in my last one.)

@Beardedgeek Oh, the beach wedding was lovely! And Britechester is indeed lovely in winter. BTW, I kill cowplants, can’t seem to keep them alive in my game.

@Lucy_Henley You’re having a lot of lovely weddings in your game too, I see. If you use mods, Scumbumbo’s Club Utils helps fix glitches like you mentioned, it’s how I fixed my children’s club, I had the same issue.

I'm definitely having a lot of fun with Ashley. I rarely have sims who play the field, most get married to the first person they date or have one or two other relationships before finding the one. It's definitely been fun. And I've had a few sims have kids with Don. I was always surprised at how good of a dad he is.
On to today's update, still playing with Genevieve and Darling.
Darling went to the gym because she needed to max her fitness skill for work.
Genevieve went to the library to search for evidence for her secret dossier
Genevieve didn't find much evidence at the library, so the next day she spent some time planting bugs on people
She listened in on those people and found some more evidence. She eventually had enough to make the secret dossier.
Genevieve saw Ted walking by acting strange so she tried talking to him. It didn't work.
The next day, Genevieve took Buzz on a morning jog
Later, she gave her secret dossier to Erwin so she could get a key card to get into the lab
After that, she went back home to bake a cake for the wedding later that day
After making the cake, Genevieve still had some time before the wedding was supposed to start, so she went to the lab and opened the door with her key card.
When she got home, she noticed the sky had turned a strange color, and there were weird spores floating around in the air
That evening, it was time for the wedding, which turned out to be a bit of a disaster. I had picked out outfits for Genevieve and Darling both, but Genevieve would not stop spinning into her second everyday outfit. She also kept getting the "privacy invaded" embarrassed moodlet even though her privacy wasn't invaded. I tried to have her and Darling get married but she still kept spinning into the wrong outfit and the interaction cancelled. My solution was to change that outfit she kept spinning into to a wedding dress. I did that, but then the wedding interaction kept cancelling. I thought it might be due to her and Darling's relationship still being glitched (both friendship and romance bars are full, but the sim profile says they're acquaintances, best friends, and engaged) and I panicked thinking they wouldn't be able to get married. Finally, I thought it might be the cc dress Genevieve was wearing. I gave her a different dress and everything worked fine. This screenshot was from one of the many attempts to get married that failed because the interaction cancelled.
The ceremony finally happened now that Genevieve was wearing a new, non-glitched dress.
Then they had some cake
Genevieve was able to talk to some of her family. That's her brother Felix sitting next to her.
Genevieve's mom doesn't look very happy even though she just watched her daughter get married. Maybe she's just tired since it was getting late. The whole dress debacle took up quite a bit of time.
The next day, Genevieve had the day off from work so she practiced some sparring.
When Darling got home from work, she and Genevieve took some wedding photos. They weren't able to on the day of the wedding because once they were done with the ceremony and cake, it was too dark out for photos.
Genevieve saw Jess Sigworth walking by and tried to introduce herself. It didn't go well.
It's been a physically exhausting and emotionally draining two weeks. How I didn't just lose it is a miracle. I haven't even played, like, at all, for the past two weeks. Anyway, no surprises this round either, but there might be one...soon-ish.
'I can't believe I got called back from Windenburg by a...a...what do I even call him? A cheating 🐸🐸🐸🐸? A muscly lunkhead? Whatever the case, at least he didn't exactly lie. I managed to meet a star and get their autograph for resale,' Nikoline thought with a sigh as she sipped on the strange-tasting tea. 'wait, does he think I'm a star-struck stan or pap so he's doing this for brownie points?'
'To add insult to injury, that 🐸🐸🐸🐸. (Dust's notes: hey, I had to circumvent the censor somehow, right?) practically ditched me because one of his and Miss...er...Mix...-whatever!- Special's mutual friend is here and he chickened out because he's afraid to get caught. Watcher almighty! Like I don't have enough on my plate trying to find Luise and going back home to Arbordale. Luise, when I find you I swear to Watcher... and what is with those stupid looking thigh-high shorts? The guy looks like an overgrown Grundschule student.'
Trying to calm herself over just how ridiculous she felt the situation was, Nikoline ordered a bowl of pho from the stall, thankful to have had years of practice holding chopsticks. Jayden may have gone off somewhere, she didn't care where, but she'll be darned if she lets the stress kill her. She didn't need the entanglements; she just wanted to find her cousin -or the corpse- and then go home, come heck or high water!
'Why does it feel like the Watcher is playing some sort of sick joke on me?'
For every upright person, there's always that opposite who's an accomplice and eggs on bad behavior. In this case, it's a Polynesian tycoon heiress who is...moonlighting as a bartender in San Myshuno's art gallery...'Why?'
The festival eventually ended, with Nikoline's sanity thankfully intact. She decided to stay in a hotel alone somewhere nearby rather than going back to Willow Creek; after all, she had a feeling that she'd probably stumble on back drunk because of the stress rather than actually getting any decent sleep after being jet-lagged.
Nikoline decided to spend the entire next day at the city. The weather was too hot to travel in, even by taxi or a ride share, and honestly, the food was just good and she just needed a break from the nonsense Jayden dragged her in, never mind the search for her missing and possibly deceased cousin.
Which paid off because she was able to get way more autographs for resale than what Jayden initially presented to her.
That's it for now. There's still a lot more, but I really need to take this time to gather myself after the rollercoaster of emotions I've been through for the past couple of weeks. I might post again on Friday, maybe Sunday, who knows?

A Fallen Starr
Tiffany awoke…but she wasn’t at Dianthus Hall… Suddenly, she saw the house that her dad and her mum used to live in. A sense of dread started to wash over her. ‘Oh no…’ Tiffany thought. She opened the door and found her mum, Dolores, beating her dad, Arlo, up. Then she saw her young self, cowering in the corner…and there were red marks. Poor Tiffany Furystrykar was witnessing a horrible memory from her past. It was only going to get worse for Tiffany. Suddenly, Dolores Starr saw her daughter. ’You….YOU DISSOBEDIANT BRAT. YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE MARRIED THAT LADY….’ Tiffany’s mother uttered. ‘Leave me alone…you’ve already caused me enough emotional harm….’ Tiffany sobbed.
Back in the real world, Wendy could sense that her beloved spouse was in danger, but she knew that only Princess Roddy could enter the dream world. The princess had already sensed there was a nightmare somewhere, and had read Wendy’s intentions...So, along with Wendy, Shine and Benjamin, Princess Roddy quickly travelled through the Dream World.
Back in the nightmare, Tiffany was being subjected to a horrible, foul mouthed onslaught…try as Tiffany might, she couldn’t escape… ‘This is it, then…I’m going to lose my mind…’ she thought…
Suddenly, a bright light shone through the whole of the house and a portal opened. Out stepped Wendy Furystrykar. Beside her was Princess Roddy, Shine and Benjamin. Wendy advanced furiously towards Dolores. ‘Who are you? GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!’ Dolores shouted. ‘You leave my wife alone, you horrible wretch!’ Wendy shouted, glaring angrily at Dolores. ‘Oh, so you’re the tramp who my troublesome daughter married?’ Dolores replied with hatred. ‘Och, weesht, ye seann cailleach! Leave the poor lass alone!’ Shine retorted. She was angry, and her Scottish accent was getting thicker. ‘Or what, you (whoa, we can’t say that!)!’ Dolores fired back…
Tiffany, Wendy, Benjamin and Princess Roddy all stood in shock. Dolores had just called Shine, who was partly Scottish, a racist word. ‘I dare ye ta say that again ta me face. Go on, I dare ye!’ Shine said, offended. ‘You are a (nothing to see here, move along folks!)!’ Dolores shouted. ‘I had heard ye’re a racist from Tiffany, but ta hear it from the horses mouth…ye’ve got some nerve.’ Shine blasted Dolores.
Then Princess Roddy Furystrykar spoke. ‘Dolores Starr, you’re not going to hurt Tiffany Furystrykar any more, not physically, or mentally!’ he said. ‘Or what? You’re just a child!’ Dolores retorted. ‘I may be a child, but I am the proud ruler of Simsonia, the youngest, and the first male princess. And let me tell you, Dolores Starr, I do not like those who harm others, whether they’re male, female, roaming around Simsonia, OR THE DREAM WORLD!’
Dolores's fate was sealed. ‘Wait, no…I’m sorry, I’M SORRY!’ she pleaded. ‘The crimes you have committed are despicable. You may have escaped justice in Simsonia, but you will not escape justice here!’ Princess Roddy boomed angrily. The princess’s greatswords materialised and started glowing. Dolores started to try and escape. ‘No you don’t!’ Benjamin and Wendy said, casting a special spell that froze Dolores in place. Tiffany plucked up the courage. 'You are not my mother. Not anymore. I have a new family now, and I'm happy.' she said, confidently.
Princess Roddy readied his greatswords. 'Dolores Starr, your life in the dream world is at an end. And for your crimes, I hereby tear your very existence from this place!' Princess Roddy boomed. He put his two greatswords together and banished Dolores's spirit from the Dream World.
When it was over, Tiffany Furystrykar looked at her younger self. The red marks had disappeared and she was smiling. Then Tiffany's father, Arlo walked over to the group. 'Thank you. Now I can rest in peace.' he said. Tiffany Furystrykar started to cry. 'Father...It's been so many years since I last saw you...' she said, sobbing. 'I know...but that she devil, Dolores, kept me from visiting you in the dream world.' Arlo replied, giving his daughter a comforting hug. Arlo turned to Wendy. 'It makes my spirits soar to see my daughter in a happy marriage with you. Please, look after yourselves.' he said, smiling warmly at Wendy Furystrykar. 'Thank you, Mr Starr.' Wendy replied, gratefully.
Finally, Arlo turned to Princess Roddy. 'Thank you for dispatching Dolores and saving my beloved daughter's mental wellbeing, Your Royal Majesty.' he said, bowing. 'You're welcome, Mr Arlo Starr.' Princess Roddy said, warmly.
After saying goodbye, Princess Roddy, Shine, Benjamin, Wendy and Tiffany headed back into the real world. Tiffany slept soundly, but she was smiling. She was finally free from her mother's torment, permanently. Princess Roddy headed back into the Dream World and relaxed in his royal gardens.
A little bit about Princess Roddy's greatswords. They have special powers that can dispatch nightmare demons in the Dream World, or in this case, a vengeful and horrible spirit. However, they only materialise in the Dream World. By touching his tiara, Princess Roddy can summon them.
Seann cailleach means Old hag in Scottish Gaelic, in case you were wondering.

Genevieve went to the library to question scientists about the spores
The scientist told her to gather spore clusters and get infection profile data on the chemistry lab, so Genevieve headed back to the lab and scanned for spore clusters
Once she had enough, she headed down to the lower floor and used the chemistry lab
She got home and gave the infection profile to the scientist. The scientist said she would mail Genevieve the spore filter she needs for the hazmat suit.
After all of that, Genevieve was hungry so she and Darling went to a nearby diner to eat
The next day, Darling tried playing fetch with Buzz but it didn't really work
Once Genevieve got home from work, she went and got the hazmat suit from the Curio Shop
She headed back to the lab and put the hazmat suit on
She went deeper into the lab
Finally, she got to the deepest part of the lab to find the Mother. She tried talking to it.
Then, she headed home and tried to watch tv with Darling like everything was normal. She didn't want to tell Darling what she saw because she doesn't want to scare her. Darling doesn't have a clue what her wife has been up to, all she knows is that her neighbors act weird and the sky has been a really strange color for the past few days.
I was playing another household in Del Sol Valley when I found Judith by her defaced tile on the Walk of Fame holding up her fist VERY dramatically. Then she proceeded to mop it up, lol.

After Princess Roddy had tended to his livestock, he changed into his royal dress and applied his makeup. Then Princess Roddy headed over to Myshuno Meadows with his family. Once there, they headed for the wedding area. Tiffany and Wendy walked over to the wedding arch and the rest of the family sat and watched.
'Tiffany, I am so glad to have met you a long time ago. You're very special to me, and I would like to continue this journey together for all time.' Wendy said, holding Tiffany's hands:
'Wendy, thank you for standing up for me. You are truly an amazing lady. I also would like to continue this journey together.' Tiffany replied, caressing her spouse's cheek:
'As the Llama God as our witness, we renew, and strengthen our bond of love together.' Wendy and Tiffany said in unison. They then kissed:
And they lovingly embraced each other:
Chloe, Benjamin, Shine, Princess Roddy, Sophia and Hamish all cheered. And above, the spirit of Arlo Starr looked down upon Tiffany and Wendy and smiled.

'My fair maiden, you've given me nothing but joy over the years. From the first instance we met as children, to the day we married, it's been a really amazing journey with you. I would like to continue on this journey, my fair maiden.' Benjamin said, caressing Shine's cheek:
'Benjamin, my amazing husband, being with you all these years has been a blessing. Let us continue our journey together!' Shine replied, giving Benjamin a loving smooch on his cheek:
'With the Llama God as our witness, we renew, and strengthen our bond of love together!' Benjamin and Shine said in unison. They then passionately kissed:

While telling Lir's Story, I've been paying attention to autonomous interactions and behaviors.
When it comes to outfits, Lir actually has a preference for his merform because he "showed off outfit" three time autonomously. I interpreted it as him showing off that he was a merman, and not a merboy. His father, Kylen, is strict and protective (adoring sentiment and protective moodlet) when it comes to Lir. Kylen, like any good father, wants the best for Lir, but he struggles to treat him like an adult (merman) instead of a child (merboy). I also choose to make Lir a little more reluctant to dress as humans do because of how much he likes to show off that he's a merman.
Lir is going through a mean streak, and instead of being mean, he's being mischievous. His favorite interactions right now is "Claim to be criminal mastermind." His dads think he's being ridiculous because they know he's responsible, well mannered, and a mediator. I don't know if his character values are influencing his Mean Streak, but I do know that well-mannered sims avoid certain mean interactions because it makes them embarrassed.
So, my question for everyone else telling stories. How do you tell your sim stories? Do you give them a strict outline for a story you have planned for them, or do you let them be themselves and interpret who they are and tell their story from there?
I like to think it's a combination of both for me, but I do try to prioritize who my sims are while writing their story.
Has anyone thought of doing a Cat Legacy or Categacy? The idea came to my mind after remembering that Mayor Whiskers won the lottery. Lol. I'm going to have to really think about this one before I think about attempting it.
Alright so, first I got a new job which results in me having more free time so I'm not spending the few hours at night just droning away on Sims 4 (Now I can play other games again!!!......Okay fine, I'm also enjoying time with friends and family), then I had harddrive problems where a Windows update uninstalled Windows from my harddrive, then I got sick and went to Kentucky for a Music Festival (I didn't go to Kentucky while I was sick BTW, I got better before the trip) and also when I DID play Sims 4, I didn't want to play in a way where I'm just scrapbooking everything I'm doing to post online. That explains where I've been for the last two months and 12 pages. Now I'm here with a long update!
Several months after "The Greatest Post Apocalyptic Christmas Ever" things seemed like they were getting better around here.
Chief Manslaughter: "What a wonderful day! The sun is shining!"
Manslaughter: "I think."
Manslaughter: "Good morning, Sonya!"
Sonya: "I've gone four years without Coffee, you shut your mouth with this 'good morning' stuff."
Manslaughter: "Good morning, Mario!"
Mario: "Things are good because I exist."
Manslaughter: "And good morning to.....Wait, what's your name again? I forgot it after all these months."
Beezleborg: "I'm Beezleborg! Warrior of the Future!"
Manslaughter: "That name's stupid. You're stupid. Get in the watchtower and get out of my face!"
On the bright side, spending the day on the watchtower isn't so bad.

Oh hey, that new Spa day refresh just launched and now we can have group meditations.
Mario: "Why can't I just meditate right next to you?"
Sonya: "Because this is what the gods allow us to do now."
Meanwhile, Darrell wanted to do some trick slides on the brand new slip n slide that Blanca got for Christmas.
Darrell: "Ha, I maxed out my fitness skill by doing that."
Now that Darrell is a master at fitness he wanted to show this punching bag what he can do now.
Anakin: "Juniper, what have you done?!"
That's the face a toddler makes when they know they just inconvenienced their parent's day.
Blanca: "Don't mind me, just dancing."
After that, Anakin couldn't stay mad at Juniper and decided to spend some quality time with her.
Blanca: "Well, while Anakin's busy with the ankle biter, I'm getting on that slip n slide!
Alright, get ready for Blanca's amazing trick slide! Crack
Just walk it off Blanca, just walk it off.
Blanca: "Let's go again! Let's go again!"
Mario and Sonya decided to spend some quality time with each other as well.....It was hard getting a picture of this from the right angle where it doesn't look like Mario's pimp hat is cutting Sonya's head in half.

According to this mod I have, Beezleborg has suddenly developed a crush on Blanca and has done this trick slide to impress her.
Blanca: "Even if I wasn't married I wouldn't be interested in you."
Uh oh nerds, it's Luna time!
Anakin: "How's my favorite Grandmother?"
Luna: "What did you just call me?!"
During the few months, Luna has been hard at work training Anakin's magical prowess. At this point Anakin is now a Master wizard and Luna decided to duel him to see just how much stronger he's gotten.
Ooh, now that's a good shot.
Anakin: "I lost this fight didn't I?"
Luna: "Afraid so."
And so Anakin was still beaten. Shouldn't be a surprise, he might be a "Master" now, but he's still not as strong as a Sage like Luna.
Anakin: "Well at least this'll be the only time I lose a duel today."
Sonya: "Hey you, lightsaber duel. Now!"
Anakin: "Wait, you're not even going to look at me while we fight?!"
Sonya: "I've gotten to much stronger that I don't even need to pay attention!"
Anakin: "No fair, lightsaber duels are supposed to be what I'M good at."
Sonya: "You were NEVER going to be better than me at something."
Anakin: "Well I'll always be a better parent than you."
Alright, fun times are over. Now it's violence time.
Darrell decided to join Beezleborg on top of the watchtower tonight.
Beezleborg: "And this is what I get to look at every night."
Darrell: "That's cool, hey is that an axe flying through the air?"
And just as Darrell said that, an axe was thrown through the air, hitting Beezleborg in the square in the face, killing him instantly.
Darrell: "Everyone get ready to fight! IT'S THE IRS!!!!"
After not paying their taxes for several years (yes, it's the Apocalypse, but do you really think the IRS would consider that an excuse to not pay your taxes?) the IRS has decided to take action!
IRS Agent: "Alright boys, let's take them out like we got Al Capone!"
Manslaughter: "A battle at this time of the night? Well if it means I don't have to eat Mario's cooking, I'm all in!"
Blanca: "A battle? Sweet, let me get my knife!"
Mario: "Oh come on guys, you can't hate my shish-kabobs that much."
Looks like it's the battle of the bald ladies!
That was until they realized that they both pull off the bald headed look very well and have resolved their differences.
Just joking, that was Blanca trying to lure the IRS agent into a false sense of security so she could stab her in the head. How violent.
IRS Agent: "Anakin Reaper, you're behind on your taxes!"
Anakin: "What do you expect? I had to live above a bowling alley for several years!"
And so they took part in an epic slapping fight.
Which Anakin won.
Anakin: "Sir, you need to chill out!"
IRS Agent: "Ha it's funny because you're casting a spell on me that'll freeze me."
Dead.
Meanwhile Mario was in the middle of his fight, doing pretty well to be honest.
Until that agent landed a good kick on his groin.
Manslaughter: "Whoa, you didn't just mess with MY Mario!"
And so the Chief got involved in the battle as well until....
Manslaughter: "Wait, why am I fighting you when I have a gun?"
And one shot to the head ended that fight.
Agent: "I think we messed up by coming here."
Darrell: "I committed a murder!"
Finally, the battle we were all waiting for.
The Leader of the IRS has Sonya cornered.
IRS Leader: "Sonya, you haven't paid your taxes in over 150 years!"
Sonya: "Oh yeah? What are you going to do, I have super powers!"
And so it was revealed that the Leader of the IRS had supernatural powers as well....Explains so much.
Sonya: "Okay I gotta admit, that was pretty cool."
Then an epic battle between two unstoppable forces of evil began. No matter who wins, we lose.
Sonya: "This is for Capone!"
IRS Leader: "Capone was the bad guy!"
Sonya: "I know, I'm the bad guy too!"
And so Sonya won the battle, for some reason sparing the leader of the IRS's life.
Sonya: "Once again, evil triumphs over good!"
Sonya: "Now that the IRS has finally been destroyed, it's time to celebrate!"
Anakin: "Heck yeah, let's go play on the Slip N Slide!"
Darrell: "I broke a man's neck!"
But not all was good, Mario was beaten up pretty badly in that battle.
Mario: "Hey so uhh, I'm pretty sure I'm dying."
And so Mario died in Sonya's arms.
Manslaughter: "No! Not Mario! He was the only one here I actually liked!"
Anakin: "Hey we're back from the Slip N Slide! Geez, why's everyone so down in the dumps? Who died?"
Darrell: "I have the blood lust!"
Anakin: "Oh."
IRS Leader: "So uhh.....Truce?"
I have a Sim going through university, specifically doing a Physics degree at Foxbury. He got all A+s in his first term… I wonder if I can keep that up, and have a Sim graduate with all A+s in their classes? It nearly happened once, the Sim got A+ in 11 of their classes, and an A in the other one. Still a great GPA, but a little frustrating!
After Genevieve returned from the lab, the sky was an even scarier color
Darling took Buzz on a walk in the morning and was seemingly oblivious to what was going on around her
Weird vines appeared in the sink
And even more possessed sims were walking around
Even with everything that was going on, Darling found some time to work on her charisma skill, which she needed for work
As soon as Genevieve got off work, she headed to the lab to work on an experimental vaccine to test on sims and hopefully stop the infection
She found this guy wandering the streets and tested it on him. It didn't work.
Genevieve needed to make more vaccines to test, so she went and looked for some more spore clusters.
She tested the next two vaccines on Ted and Leslie. She was then finally able to figure out how to make the real vaccine.
She headed back to the lab to make the vaccines
Genevieve went home and immediately vaccinated Darling.
She then told Darling about what was going on and asked if she could help fight the Mother plant. Darling agreed to help.
Genevieve needed two more people to help her. She vaccinated this townie named Gianni and he also agreed to help.
Then, she saw Leslie. She vaccinated her and asked her to help. She said yes.
Genevieve went home and practiced some sparring to prepare for the fight
The next day, Genevieve headed to the lab with Darling, Leslie, and Gianni.
They gathered in front of the Mother and prepared to fight
The fight started, and everyone started spraying the plant
This possessed sim attacked Darling
Then she passed out. I definitely thought she was dead for a second but luckily she wasn't.
Eventually, after a lot more spraying, charging, and throwing vaccines, the Mother was dead! Genevieve defeated the source of the infection and her aspiration was complete.
Genevieve and Darling went home. Everything was back to normal, and now they can focus on their careers, saving for a new house, and possibly starting a family.
That's all for now! I'll probably be switching to my legacy save next, but I had a lot of fun playing Strangerville. Believe it or not, this was actually my first time solving the Strangerville mystery, even though I bought the pack on release day. I'm not sure why I haven't gotten around to it until now, but I definitely had a lot of fun with it.

Chibiusa: I found a sim version of Darklady Chibiusa (Sailor Moon) and decided to try it out on a simple living lot.
At first I tried to set her up with Nervous Subject, but it never quite worked out.
Ironically, she hit it off with Saphir who was one of the bad guys in the season of Sailor Moon she first appeared in.
Since the person who made her (I downloaded the CC) also had her be a magic user, I thought I'd have her build up her skills. And who is the teacher of Practical Magic? Why it's Bob Newbie (TS1).
Queen Chibiusa and Saphir have a deal. Saphir works in the gardens and tries to befriend the bunnies while she takes care of the chickens.
Here is their daughter, Reene. Which was Chibiusa's name in the Saban dub of the anime.
I got rid of Little Simzee (the Cowplant). I only planted it to fulfill the Gardening Ambition anyway and with 4 people having keys to her house I don't want them to be eaten while Brigitte is out fishing or something.
Anyway, the yard / lot / landscaping looks okay now. I am not in any way good at that, but I drew inspiration from my parent's cottage: Mostly aesthetic chaos. Rustic by means of "what survives stays". Which, incidentally, tend to be old traditional flowers used in gardens for over a century or more (it's kind of impressive if you come across a plot in the forest where a cottage used to be and nothing is there except a few corner stones and huge rose and raspberry bushes. Old fashioned rose bushes only bloomed for a week or so but dangit they were hardy and can hold their own against the encroaching forest for a century).
Also: Brigitte showing her rebellious side: Everyone listens to Cottage Core and does Cross Stitch. She? She listens to Singer / Songwriter and knits. Typical Rebel, will ruin the youth!
I'm a bit disappointed by some of the animations for a teen braking curfew and going out after being grounded. I expected them to be more sneaky in their movements, something a little exaggerated. Grounding does have some interesting gameplay and story implications.
Once Ashley got home from Don's house, she wrote jokes on her computer because she needs the comedy skill for work.
Ashley was flirting a little bit with the bearded guy in the sparkly suit when suddenly Agnes Crumplebottom appeared
Ashley didn't listen and continued flirting with bearded guy (I think his name is Brice? I can't remember). Agnes wasn't happy about that.
Agnes eventually left, and so did Brice. Ashley needed a sim to kiss for the "kiss 10 sims" part of her aspiration. She ended up flirting with and kissing this guy. I also can't remember his name.
The next morning, Ashley had a brownie for breakfast. Not the healthiest choice but she's pregnant, so she'll do whatever she wants.
Ashley got another promotion and is now a Public Relations Coordinator. Her new uniform is kind of ugly but at least it's not that weird randomly generated outfit anymore.
Later, Ashley didn't have any food in the fridge so she got some ramen from a food stall nearby.
The next day, Ashley was due to give birth so she took the day off work. She spent the morning watching tv.
Pretty soon, she went into labor, so she headed to the hospital.
She brought Don but he left almost immediately. I'm pretty sure it was because he had work but I was hoping he might stay.
It's a girl! Her name is Summer.
When Ashley got home from the hospital, I had her age Summer up into a toddler immediately. Here's what she looks like. I gave her dark brown hair because she aged up with platinum blonde hair like Ashley's, and in my head that's not Ashley's natural hair color. This color is what I imagine Ashley's natural hair color is so that's what I gave Summer.

I had to zoom and swivel the camera around really tight and go right down and discovered she had found a kiosk and was ordering food. It was winter and she was close to freezing and there she is stuffing her face!!!
I must say I LOVE the addition of the special "Winter food" kiosks that only appears in Winter: My standard order is clam chowder and warm applejuice.
Sounds like something I would love IRL in that weather.
Afterwards, he headed over to Finchwick with Sophia and Hamish, and did some ice skating:

Shine smiled. Amy then came over to her. 'Can I have a snuggle, please?' she asked, politely. 'Of course you can, Amy! Up we go!' Shine replied, smiling. She gently picked the toddler up and they had a snuggle:
Shine carefully put Amy down on the ground. Princess Roddy noticed something. 'Are you wearing a lip tinting balm, little one?' he enquired. 'Yep, mummy helped to put it on!' Amy replied, smiling:
Regina Lyles chuckled. 'We don't want to have chapped lips in this cold, now do we, sweetpea?' she said, looking fondly at her adorable daughter. Princess Roddy changed into his feminine cold weather outfit and applied his makeup, including his lipstick sealer. 'You're so pretty, Princess Roddy!' Amy said, smiling brightly. 'Awww, thank you, Amy!' the princess said, happily. He gave Amy a big hug:

The princess smiled and changed back into his masculine cold weather outfit. He removed his makeup using one of his makeup removal wipes. Then he chatted with Amy. A while later, Amy yawned. Afterwards, Princess Roddy changed into his feminine cold weather outfit and applied his makeup. Then Shine gave her adorable firstborn a great, big, loving and warm cuddle:

Amy changed into her everyday outfit and turned her music player on, setting it to the lullaby station. Then, Amy ballet danced:
Princess Roddy was amazed. After the routine was over, Amy curtseyed and turned her music player off. 'What did you think, Princess Roddy?' she asked. 'I'm impressed, little one!' the princess replied, complementing the toddler's ballet skills. 'Thank you Princess Roddy!' Amy said, squealing with delight. She then changed back into her cold weather outfit. Princess Roddy changed into his feminine cold weather outfit and applied his makeup. 'Princess Roddy? I have read about princesses in fairy tales. What are they like in real life?' Amy asked, inquisitively:
'Ah, the princesses in fairy tales are a lot different to those in real life, little Amy. They have the burden of representing their country, and it isn't easy getting to the top.' Princess Roddy explained:
'How did you become a princess?' Amy asked. 'Well, whenever a member of the Royal Furystrykar line takes the throne, they can choose their title. I chose the title of Princess when I took over from Cordelia Thebe.' the princess replied:
'As ruler of Simsonia, I have several jobs. One of them is judging trials that neither the Halls of Justice or the Platinum Halls of Justice can handle, and it's the toughest. However, I use my special abilities to help me make the right call, and there's also a jury in place whenever I'm judging a trial.' he added. 'Wow, Princess Roddy! I never knew that!' Amy said, fascinated. Later on, Amy Lyles played a toddler friendly matching game on a tablet:

Genevieve was feeling tense when she got home from work. She's a Lieutenant Colonel in the Military career.
The next morning, Darling ate some breakfast before heading to work. She's in the athlete career.
Genevieve and Darling have both noticed people in this town acting strange. Genevieve really wants to try and figure out what's causing it.

Genevieve and Darling also got a dog, a pit bull named Buzz. Darling took Buzz for a jog when she got home from work.
Genevieve headed straight to the secret lab once she got home from work. Other sims have told her it might have some clues as to what's going on and why people are acting so weird.
Genevieve and Darling are also working on planning their wedding. They don't want a big, fancy wedding so they're just having it at the park in Willow Creek. They set a date and it's coming up soon. I didn't get around to playing it yet but I probably will tomorrow.

As Maakie prepares for the ceremony, she chats with Bella Goth, who is suffering from a bout of morning sickness, but still somehow manages to look stunning.

Jeannie is not a fan of the, well, she is not enthusiastic about Marcus’ choice of Nina. Akira is at a loss as to how to handle her mood.

J. Huntington III is also getting married, and Akira buys several rounds at his “stag” party, being his boss and all.
Akira runs into Nina, Clara Bjergsen, and Yuki Behr after the guys leave the bar and takes the opportunity to get to know Nina a bit better.

AKIRA: I’m telling you Nie-Chan, Nina is crazy about Marcus, you should have heard her gushing about him.
JEANNIE: Oh, for Watchers sake, Sweetheart, of course she was all gushy in front of you, you’re one if his few friends here, I mean he’s in your Karaoke Club.
AKIRA: But, I’m telling you, she seems really nice, plus, I found out she’s not a Jazz performer like her mother. No, she’s a concert pianist. She plays that longhair music like you like, not like in bars and stuff.
JEANNIE: What? Really, are you sure about that?
AKIRA: Yes that Clara Bjergsen, who’s the president of that Upper Crust Club, BTW, was talking about her next big concert at the Fine Arts Center in San Myshuno, and I don’t have to tell you how classy that place is.
JEANNIE: Well, that does sound impressive, I admit. But, that family, I’m just not sure that a sweet natured, simple sort of man like Marcus is going to find those people easy to deal with. That Katrina’s carrying on with a man half her age, it’s worse than Maakie marring a barely legal boy, for Watcher’s sake, those show business people are not like us, I’m just saying.
AKIRA: Yeah, well, you get that a lot of people probably said the same thing about us, right, that a “rough around the edges” guy like me is not nearly good enough for a classy lady like you?
JEANNIE: Gracious, Akira Kibo, what a thing to say!
AKIRA: Come on, you know it’s true. I’m just grateful that your snobby side was totally overpowered by my charm and incredible good looks, that’s all.
JEANNIE: Snobby side? Me? Now just where did that come from?
AKIRA: Either that, or you’re still carrying a torch for Marcus Rowan, the jealous side of me prefers that it’s the snobbery, see.
JEANNIE: (chuckles) I think I’ve just been very effectively handled by my husband.
AKIRA: I’m definitely gettin’ better at this marriage thing.
(NOTE: OK, so I neglected to mention one of my guidelines in the “Prologue”, because, I was unsure if I would be able to stick to it. I really wanted to micromanage my game a lot less than I usually do. For example, not have a sim die prematurely in order to explore single parenting and a blended family. And, so far so good:
After Jeannie got some romantic possibilities, I rotated to their households to skill and career them up a bit, I wanted to “flesh” them out some more.
And I discovered Summer had a rather high romantic bar with Joaquin. And that Travis had a friendship with him, as well. So, I went with it.
I did not pick Jeannie’s romantic interest. I waited and waited. None of the men appeared with a flirty mood again unfortunately, so she just got to be really good friends with them. Then I sent her to the romance festival and Akira randomly showed up. So, after some Sakura tea, bingo.
Honeymoon, OK, try for baby, yes, but I had it set to 40% so it was possible it would not take, right?
Johnny Zest, married off to a random townie by MCCC and subsequent pregnancy by same. Bella Goth baby, also MCCC. Marcus also married to Nina through MCCC. The Romeo’s also married that way. I am letting MCCC do all the marriages and babies for the unplayed households, crosses fingers.
Travis and Liberty, OK, but that’s a given based on the game canon, right?
So, you see, I am trying to go with the random events and to have more spontaneity and less micromanagement in this game than I did in my last one.)

@Lucy_Henley You’re having a lot of lovely weddings in your game too, I see. If you use mods, Scumbumbo’s Club Utils helps fix glitches like you mentioned, it’s how I fixed my children’s club, I had the same issue.

@mia_noelle97 I really have fun with sims that play the field too, I never manage to do it for long though, they always end up married eventually. And Don always has a few illegitimate children in all my games, unless the game decides he’s gay. He surprisingly he makes a good dad too. I imagine some of my sims enhance their natural hair color too, (cough)Jeannie (cough).

On to today's update, still playing with Genevieve and Darling.
Darling went to the gym because she needed to max her fitness skill for work.
Genevieve went to the library to search for evidence for her secret dossier
She listened in on those people and found some more evidence. She eventually had enough to make the secret dossier.
Genevieve saw Ted walking by acting strange so she tried talking to him. It didn't work.
The next day, Genevieve took Buzz on a morning jog
Later, she gave her secret dossier to Erwin so she could get a key card to get into the lab
After that, she went back home to bake a cake for the wedding later that day
After making the cake, Genevieve still had some time before the wedding was supposed to start, so she went to the lab and opened the door with her key card.
When she got home, she noticed the sky had turned a strange color, and there were weird spores floating around in the air
That evening, it was time for the wedding, which turned out to be a bit of a disaster. I had picked out outfits for Genevieve and Darling both, but Genevieve would not stop spinning into her second everyday outfit. She also kept getting the "privacy invaded" embarrassed moodlet even though her privacy wasn't invaded. I tried to have her and Darling get married but she still kept spinning into the wrong outfit and the interaction cancelled. My solution was to change that outfit she kept spinning into to a wedding dress. I did that, but then the wedding interaction kept cancelling. I thought it might be due to her and Darling's relationship still being glitched (both friendship and romance bars are full, but the sim profile says they're acquaintances, best friends, and engaged) and I panicked thinking they wouldn't be able to get married. Finally, I thought it might be the cc dress Genevieve was wearing. I gave her a different dress and everything worked fine. This screenshot was from one of the many attempts to get married that failed because the interaction cancelled.
The ceremony finally happened now that Genevieve was wearing a new, non-glitched dress.
Then they had some cake
Genevieve was able to talk to some of her family. That's her brother Felix sitting next to her.
Genevieve's mom doesn't look very happy even though she just watched her daughter get married. Maybe she's just tired since it was getting late. The whole dress debacle took up quite a bit of time.
The next day, Genevieve had the day off from work so she practiced some sparring.
When Darling got home from work, she and Genevieve took some wedding photos. They weren't able to on the day of the wedding because once they were done with the ceremony and cake, it was too dark out for photos.
Genevieve saw Jess Sigworth walking by and tried to introduce herself. It didn't go well.

'I can't believe I got called back from Windenburg by a...a...what do I even call him? A cheating 🐸🐸🐸🐸? A muscly lunkhead? Whatever the case, at least he didn't exactly lie. I managed to meet a star and get their autograph for resale,' Nikoline thought with a sigh as she sipped on the strange-tasting tea. 'wait, does he think I'm a star-struck stan or pap so he's doing this for brownie points?'
'To add insult to injury, that 🐸🐸🐸🐸. (Dust's notes: hey, I had to circumvent the censor somehow, right?) practically ditched me because one of his and Miss...er...Mix...-whatever!- Special's mutual friend is here and he chickened out because he's afraid to get caught. Watcher almighty! Like I don't have enough on my plate trying to find Luise and going back home to Arbordale. Luise, when I find you I swear to Watcher... and what is with those stupid looking thigh-high shorts? The guy looks like an overgrown Grundschule student.'
Trying to calm herself over just how ridiculous she felt the situation was, Nikoline ordered a bowl of pho from the stall, thankful to have had years of practice holding chopsticks. Jayden may have gone off somewhere, she didn't care where, but she'll be darned if she lets the stress kill her. She didn't need the entanglements; she just wanted to find her cousin -or the corpse- and then go home, come heck or high water!
'Why does it feel like the Watcher is playing some sort of sick joke on me?'
For every upright person, there's always that opposite who's an accomplice and eggs on bad behavior. In this case, it's a Polynesian tycoon heiress who is...moonlighting as a bartender in San Myshuno's art gallery...'Why?'
The festival eventually ended, with Nikoline's sanity thankfully intact. She decided to stay in a hotel alone somewhere nearby rather than going back to Willow Creek; after all, she had a feeling that she'd probably stumble on back drunk because of the stress rather than actually getting any decent sleep after being jet-lagged.
Nikoline decided to spend the entire next day at the city. The weather was too hot to travel in, even by taxi or a ride share, and honestly, the food was just good and she just needed a break from the nonsense Jayden dragged her in, never mind the search for her missing and possibly deceased cousin.
Which paid off because she was able to get way more autographs for resale than what Jayden initially presented to her.
That's it for now. There's still a lot more, but I really need to take this time to gather myself after the rollercoaster of emotions I've been through for the past couple of weeks. I might post again on Friday, maybe Sunday, who knows?
Sophia took off her glasses, put them on the dresser and changed into her pyjamas. Then she fell fast asleep:

Back in the real world, Wendy could sense that her beloved spouse was in danger, but she knew that only Princess Roddy could enter the dream world. The princess had already sensed there was a nightmare somewhere, and had read Wendy’s intentions...So, along with Wendy, Shine and Benjamin, Princess Roddy quickly travelled through the Dream World.
Back in the nightmare, Tiffany was being subjected to a horrible, foul mouthed onslaught…try as Tiffany might, she couldn’t escape… ‘This is it, then…I’m going to lose my mind…’ she thought…
Suddenly, a bright light shone through the whole of the house and a portal opened. Out stepped Wendy Furystrykar. Beside her was Princess Roddy, Shine and Benjamin. Wendy advanced furiously towards Dolores. ‘Who are you? GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!’ Dolores shouted. ‘You leave my wife alone, you horrible wretch!’ Wendy shouted, glaring angrily at Dolores. ‘Oh, so you’re the tramp who my troublesome daughter married?’ Dolores replied with hatred. ‘Och, weesht, ye seann cailleach! Leave the poor lass alone!’ Shine retorted. She was angry, and her Scottish accent was getting thicker. ‘Or what, you (whoa, we can’t say that!)!’ Dolores fired back…
Tiffany, Wendy, Benjamin and Princess Roddy all stood in shock. Dolores had just called Shine, who was partly Scottish, a racist word. ‘I dare ye ta say that again ta me face. Go on, I dare ye!’ Shine said, offended. ‘You are a (nothing to see here, move along folks!)!’ Dolores shouted. ‘I had heard ye’re a racist from Tiffany, but ta hear it from the horses mouth…ye’ve got some nerve.’ Shine blasted Dolores.
Then Princess Roddy Furystrykar spoke. ‘Dolores Starr, you’re not going to hurt Tiffany Furystrykar any more, not physically, or mentally!’ he said. ‘Or what? You’re just a child!’ Dolores retorted. ‘I may be a child, but I am the proud ruler of Simsonia, the youngest, and the first male princess. And let me tell you, Dolores Starr, I do not like those who harm others, whether they’re male, female, roaming around Simsonia, OR THE DREAM WORLD!’
Dolores's fate was sealed. ‘Wait, no…I’m sorry, I’M SORRY!’ she pleaded. ‘The crimes you have committed are despicable. You may have escaped justice in Simsonia, but you will not escape justice here!’ Princess Roddy boomed angrily. The princess’s greatswords materialised and started glowing. Dolores started to try and escape. ‘No you don’t!’ Benjamin and Wendy said, casting a special spell that froze Dolores in place. Tiffany plucked up the courage. 'You are not my mother. Not anymore. I have a new family now, and I'm happy.' she said, confidently.
Princess Roddy readied his greatswords. 'Dolores Starr, your life in the dream world is at an end. And for your crimes, I hereby tear your very existence from this place!' Princess Roddy boomed. He put his two greatswords together and banished Dolores's spirit from the Dream World.
When it was over, Tiffany Furystrykar looked at her younger self. The red marks had disappeared and she was smiling. Then Tiffany's father, Arlo walked over to the group. 'Thank you. Now I can rest in peace.' he said. Tiffany Furystrykar started to cry. 'Father...It's been so many years since I last saw you...' she said, sobbing. 'I know...but that she devil, Dolores, kept me from visiting you in the dream world.' Arlo replied, giving his daughter a comforting hug. Arlo turned to Wendy. 'It makes my spirits soar to see my daughter in a happy marriage with you. Please, look after yourselves.' he said, smiling warmly at Wendy Furystrykar. 'Thank you, Mr Starr.' Wendy replied, gratefully.
Finally, Arlo turned to Princess Roddy. 'Thank you for dispatching Dolores and saving my beloved daughter's mental wellbeing, Your Royal Majesty.' he said, bowing. 'You're welcome, Mr Arlo Starr.' Princess Roddy said, warmly.
After saying goodbye, Princess Roddy, Shine, Benjamin, Wendy and Tiffany headed back into the real world. Tiffany slept soundly, but she was smiling. She was finally free from her mother's torment, permanently. Princess Roddy headed back into the Dream World and relaxed in his royal gardens.
A little bit about Princess Roddy's greatswords. They have special powers that can dispatch nightmare demons in the Dream World, or in this case, a vengeful and horrible spirit. However, they only materialise in the Dream World. By touching his tiara, Princess Roddy can summon them.
Seann cailleach means Old hag in Scottish Gaelic, in case you were wondering.
The scientist told her to gather spore clusters and get infection profile data on the chemistry lab, so Genevieve headed back to the lab and scanned for spore clusters
She got home and gave the infection profile to the scientist. The scientist said she would mail Genevieve the spore filter she needs for the hazmat suit.
After all of that, Genevieve was hungry so she and Darling went to a nearby diner to eat
The next day, Darling tried playing fetch with Buzz but it didn't really work
Once Genevieve got home from work, she went and got the hazmat suit from the Curio Shop
She headed back to the lab and put the hazmat suit on
She went deeper into the lab
Finally, she got to the deepest part of the lab to find the Mother. She tried talking to it.
Then, she headed home and tried to watch tv with Darling like everything was normal. She didn't want to tell Darling what she saw because she doesn't want to scare her. Darling doesn't have a clue what her wife has been up to, all she knows is that her neighbors act weird and the sky has been a really strange color for the past few days.

Judith: "Someone WILL pay for this..!"
'Tiffany, I am so glad to have met you a long time ago. You're very special to me, and I would like to continue this journey together for all time.' Wendy said, holding Tiffany's hands:
'Wendy, thank you for standing up for me. You are truly an amazing lady. I also would like to continue this journey together.' Tiffany replied, caressing her spouse's cheek:
'As the Llama God as our witness, we renew, and strengthen our bond of love together.' Wendy and Tiffany said in unison. They then kissed:
And they lovingly embraced each other:
Chloe, Benjamin, Shine, Princess Roddy, Sophia and Hamish all cheered. And above, the spirit of Arlo Starr looked down upon Tiffany and Wendy and smiled.
'My fair maiden, you've given me nothing but joy over the years. From the first instance we met as children, to the day we married, it's been a really amazing journey with you. I would like to continue on this journey, my fair maiden.' Benjamin said, caressing Shine's cheek:
'Benjamin, my amazing husband, being with you all these years has been a blessing. Let us continue our journey together!' Shine replied, giving Benjamin a loving smooch on his cheek:
'With the Llama God as our witness, we renew, and strengthen our bond of love together!' Benjamin and Shine said in unison. They then passionately kissed:
And they embraced each other:
Princess Roddy, Sophia, Hamish, Chloe, Wendy and Tiffany cheered. Then the family went back home to Dianthus Hall.
When it comes to outfits, Lir actually has a preference for his merform because he "showed off outfit" three time autonomously. I interpreted it as him showing off that he was a merman, and not a merboy. His father, Kylen, is strict and protective (adoring sentiment and protective moodlet) when it comes to Lir. Kylen, like any good father, wants the best for Lir, but he struggles to treat him like an adult (merman) instead of a child (merboy). I also choose to make Lir a little more reluctant to dress as humans do because of how much he likes to show off that he's a merman.
Lir is going through a mean streak, and instead of being mean, he's being mischievous. His favorite interactions right now is "Claim to be criminal mastermind." His dads think he's being ridiculous because they know he's responsible, well mannered, and a mediator. I don't know if his character values are influencing his Mean Streak, but I do know that well-mannered sims avoid certain mean interactions because it makes them embarrassed.
So, my question for everyone else telling stories. How do you tell your sim stories? Do you give them a strict outline for a story you have planned for them, or do you let them be themselves and interpret who they are and tell their story from there?
I like to think it's a combination of both for me, but I do try to prioritize who my sims are while writing their story.
Several months after "The Greatest Post Apocalyptic Christmas Ever" things seemed like they were getting better around here.
Chief Manslaughter: "What a wonderful day! The sun is shining!"
Manslaughter: "I think."
Manslaughter: "Good morning, Sonya!"
Sonya: "I've gone four years without Coffee, you shut your mouth with this 'good morning' stuff."
Manslaughter: "Good morning, Mario!"
Mario: "Things are good because I exist."
Manslaughter: "And good morning to.....Wait, what's your name again? I forgot it after all these months."
Beezleborg: "I'm Beezleborg! Warrior of the Future!"
Manslaughter: "That name's stupid. You're stupid. Get in the watchtower and get out of my face!"
On the bright side, spending the day on the watchtower isn't so bad.
View's not great, but what are you going to do?
Mario: "Why can't I just meditate right next to you?"
Sonya: "Because this is what the gods allow us to do now."
Meanwhile, Darrell wanted to do some trick slides on the brand new slip n slide that Blanca got for Christmas.
Darrell: "Ha, I maxed out my fitness skill by doing that."
Now that Darrell is a master at fitness he wanted to show this punching bag what he can do now.
Anakin: "Juniper, what have you done?!"
That's the face a toddler makes when they know they just inconvenienced their parent's day.
Blanca: "Don't mind me, just dancing."
After that, Anakin couldn't stay mad at Juniper and decided to spend some quality time with her.
Blanca: "Well, while Anakin's busy with the ankle biter, I'm getting on that slip n slide!
Alright, get ready for Blanca's amazing trick slide!
Crack
Just walk it off Blanca, just walk it off.
Blanca: "Let's go again! Let's go again!"
Mario and Sonya decided to spend some quality time with each other as well.....It was hard getting a picture of this from the right angle where it doesn't look like Mario's pimp hat is cutting Sonya's head in half.
Some more happy happy fun times with the residents of Camp Murder!
Blanca: "Even if I wasn't married I wouldn't be interested in you."
Uh oh nerds, it's Luna time!
Anakin: "How's my favorite Grandmother?"
Luna: "What did you just call me?!"
During the few months, Luna has been hard at work training Anakin's magical prowess. At this point Anakin is now a Master wizard and Luna decided to duel him to see just how much stronger he's gotten.
Ooh, now that's a good shot.
Anakin: "I lost this fight didn't I?"
Luna: "Afraid so."
And so Anakin was still beaten. Shouldn't be a surprise, he might be a "Master" now, but he's still not as strong as a Sage like Luna.
Anakin: "Well at least this'll be the only time I lose a duel today."
Sonya: "Hey you, lightsaber duel. Now!"
Anakin: "Wait, you're not even going to look at me while we fight?!"
Sonya: "I've gotten to much stronger that I don't even need to pay attention!"
Anakin: "No fair, lightsaber duels are supposed to be what I'M good at."
Sonya: "You were NEVER going to be better than me at something."
Anakin: "Well I'll always be a better parent than you."
Alright, fun times are over. Now it's violence time.
Beezleborg: "And this is what I get to look at every night."
Darrell: "That's cool, hey is that an axe flying through the air?"
And just as Darrell said that, an axe was thrown through the air, hitting Beezleborg in the square in the face, killing him instantly.
Darrell: "Everyone get ready to fight! IT'S THE IRS!!!!"
After not paying their taxes for several years (yes, it's the Apocalypse, but do you really think the IRS would consider that an excuse to not pay your taxes?) the IRS has decided to take action!
IRS Agent: "Alright boys, let's take them out like we got Al Capone!"
Manslaughter: "A battle at this time of the night? Well if it means I don't have to eat Mario's cooking, I'm all in!"
Blanca: "A battle? Sweet, let me get my knife!"
Mario: "Oh come on guys, you can't hate my shish-kabobs that much."
Looks like it's the battle of the bald ladies!
That was until they realized that they both pull off the bald headed look very well and have resolved their differences.
Just joking, that was Blanca trying to lure the IRS agent into a false sense of security so she could stab her in the head. How violent.
IRS Agent: "Anakin Reaper, you're behind on your taxes!"
Anakin: "What do you expect? I had to live above a bowling alley for several years!"
And so they took part in an epic slapping fight.
Which Anakin won.
Anakin: "Sir, you need to chill out!"
IRS Agent: "Ha it's funny because you're casting a spell on me that'll freeze me."
Dead.
Meanwhile Mario was in the middle of his fight, doing pretty well to be honest.
Until that agent landed a good kick on his groin.
Manslaughter: "Whoa, you didn't just mess with MY Mario!"
And so the Chief got involved in the battle as well until....
Manslaughter: "Wait, why am I fighting you when I have a gun?"
And one shot to the head ended that fight.
Agent: "I think we messed up by coming here."
Darrell: "I committed a murder!"
Finally, the battle we were all waiting for.
IRS Leader: "Sonya, you haven't paid your taxes in over 150 years!"
Sonya: "Oh yeah? What are you going to do, I have super powers!"
And so it was revealed that the Leader of the IRS had supernatural powers as well....Explains so much.
Sonya: "Okay I gotta admit, that was pretty cool."
Then an epic battle between two unstoppable forces of evil began. No matter who wins, we lose.
Sonya: "This is for Capone!"
IRS Leader: "Capone was the bad guy!"
Sonya: "I know, I'm the bad guy too!"
And so Sonya won the battle, for some reason sparing the leader of the IRS's life.
Sonya: "Once again, evil triumphs over good!"
Sonya: "Now that the IRS has finally been destroyed, it's time to celebrate!"
Anakin: "Heck yeah, let's go play on the Slip N Slide!"
Darrell: "I broke a man's neck!"
But not all was good, Mario was beaten up pretty badly in that battle.
Mario: "Hey so uhh, I'm pretty sure I'm dying."
And so Mario died in Sonya's arms.
Manslaughter: "No! Not Mario! He was the only one here I actually liked!"
Anakin: "Hey we're back from the Slip N Slide! Geez, why's everyone so down in the dumps? Who died?"
Darrell: "I have the blood lust!"
Anakin: "Oh."
IRS Leader: "So uhh.....Truce?"
Darling took Buzz on a walk in the morning and was seemingly oblivious to what was going on around her
And even more possessed sims were walking around
Even with everything that was going on, Darling found some time to work on her charisma skill, which she needed for work
As soon as Genevieve got off work, she headed to the lab to work on an experimental vaccine to test on sims and hopefully stop the infection
She found this guy wandering the streets and tested it on him. It didn't work.
Genevieve needed to make more vaccines to test, so she went and looked for some more spore clusters.
She tested the next two vaccines on Ted and Leslie. She was then finally able to figure out how to make the real vaccine.
She headed back to the lab to make the vaccines
Genevieve went home and immediately vaccinated Darling.
She then told Darling about what was going on and asked if she could help fight the Mother plant. Darling agreed to help.
Then, she saw Leslie. She vaccinated her and asked her to help. She said yes.
Genevieve went home and practiced some sparring to prepare for the fight
The next day, Genevieve headed to the lab with Darling, Leslie, and Gianni.
They gathered in front of the Mother and prepared to fight
The fight started, and everyone started spraying the plant
This possessed sim attacked Darling
Then she passed out. I definitely thought she was dead for a second but luckily she wasn't.
Eventually, after a lot more spraying, charging, and throwing vaccines, the Mother was dead! Genevieve defeated the source of the infection and her aspiration was complete.
Genevieve and Darling went home. Everything was back to normal, and now they can focus on their careers, saving for a new house, and possibly starting a family.
That's all for now! I'll probably be switching to my legacy save next, but I had a lot of fun playing Strangerville. Believe it or not, this was actually my first time solving the Strangerville mystery, even though I bought the pack on release day. I'm not sure why I haven't gotten around to it until now, but I definitely had a lot of fun with it.
