-So I think I have everything set up, Mom will have Uncle Kyle and Salim helping her with the boys in shifts. And Than’s coming home to have Kaden over for a sleepover this weekend, Kaden is really excited to be treated like a big boy and get to stay with Than. And me and Becca are taking our long overdue honeymoon finally. I couldn’t get the bigger cabin, which bums me out, but Becca says it’s fine if we rough it a bit with an outdoor shower, she says it’s more romantic that way, but I don’t know.
The first day we did a bit of fishing, Becca took a nature walk while I fished a bit more, she really liked being in the woods, it reminded her of her childhood. We played some horseshoes, then for supper I cooked up some trout I had caught and it was delicious. After supper, we lit a campfire and roasted some marshmallows for dessert. Afterwards, I put out the fire and put away the leftovers and washed up the dirty dishes and by the time I was done I was completely knackered, Becca had gone to change into her good nightgown. Don’t laugh, most of our sleepwear is old stuff we can’t wear around the house anymore. {Note to self: Buy Becca some nice nightgowns for her next birthday, maybe get Roxie or Miranda to help me shop.} But by the time I got done and went to the bed, Becca was fast asleep, so I just got into bed and slept myself. Yeah, I know, some romance, but honestly, sleeping felt really good.
We made up for it then next day, Becca grilled some fruit for breakfast and we spend the rest of morning in bed, but not sleeping. That afternoon we went over to the National Forrest part, Becca got some terrariums with bugs in them for the boys and found a crystal that matched mom’s bedroom color for her. Can’t go back home empty handed, can we? We went to the top of the lookout at the Ranger outpost and enjoyed the view a while, then we just went back to the cabin. We did a bit more fishing together, I caught a big salmon, my favorite ever since it was my fist big catch fishing, so I grilled it up for our supper. Then more roasted marshmallows on the campfire for dessert and bed, but we didn’t go to sleep right away this time. Honestly, it sounds like it might have been boring, but just getting my wife all to myself for two whole days felt like a big adventure to me. I hated to leave there, but, well, responsibilities and all, sigh.-
The first night was mostly just a lot of talking.

-I got home from work to find my older brother, Kareem, working on my kitchen sink shirtless. He told me that there was a clog in the sink and that he couldn’t find my snake to take care of it, so he had to remove the sink trap. Unfortunately, he miscalculated with the bucket and got his shirt wet and dirty. Mom was washing it for him. Then he noticed the spigot dripped a lot so he fixed that too. Kareem is a fix-it guy, he’s always been handy, when I was a kid he used to show me how to fix things around the apartment when he came over. I told him the snake, along with my mounted salmon was MIA ever since we moved, I looked at Becca when I said that and again she didn’t comment. Ah, Kareem said, I have this with my socks, they elope with each other and leave me with ones that do not go together. I just agreed, my brother has some odd ideas about stuff and it’s best to just let it go.
Fatima, Kareem’s second wife and their daughter Miriam were with him, I hadn’t see Miriam in a while and I couldn’t get over how much she’d, well, blossomed, she had gotten to be a very pretty young girl. The thing about Kareem’s wives is that they both kind of have big hair, they have long hair but it’s kind of really puffy on top, I always thought that must be Kareem’s thing.
Then Kareem said, I need to ask you a big favor little brother, Fatima has consented to give me another chance to be her husband. And, since it is the second time, we are just going to go to the City Hall, not a big wedding. But, I thought that it might be nice to have a party after at your big house. Well, Kareem, I said, throwing parties is really kind of Salim and Uncle Kyle’s thing though. Yes, I know, he answered, Kyle Jeffries loves to throw parties, but he is too fancy for us, we don’t want that kind of party, just something with simple food and family, you understand. I know that it is a lot to ask, but you are my family and if you cannot count on your family, well then…..
I hate throwing parties, that’s such an Uncle Kyle thing. The thing is Kareem has changed a lot since we had the big reconciliation, he pays his child support and alimony on time and he visits us more often, he seems to be way more involved in his children’s lives now too. I guess Fatima noticed the change and, well, liked it. So what can I do, he’s my brother, and I love him and want him to make the marriage work this time and be happy, so I said yes.
Kareem threw his arms around me and hugged me, and yes he was still shirtless and sweaty and hugging him was a bit like hugging a moist plushy. Kareem, for all his faults, is way more demonstrative than either me or Salim. He’s not shy about being emotional or showing it, which with him being kind of a macho guy is not what you’d expect. Then I spent some time getting to know Fatima and Miriam better as did Becca and the boys, mom cooked everyone dinner and we all ate together before they left.-

- One good thing, mom is over the moon about it, she’s really happy that Kareem and Fatima are giving it another try, she worried a lot about Kareem being all alone, that I know. Oh, and another good thing, if I’m honest, is that the thing with Than and Nicolette Reardon is over, Than said that it had run it’s course, whatever that means, he seems totally OK about it, which I don’t get, in my experience, break ups are messy and painful. But, as Becca often reminds me, Than is not me with an artistic talent, he is his own totally different person.-
-This “simple” party now somehow includes the Clarkes, Kareem met them at Kaden’s birthday party and liked them, he says they are “salt of the earth” people, whatever that means, and considers them part of his extended family, even thought he is not actually related to them in any way whatsoever. Oh yeah, and Robert Morin, mom’s boyfriend, jeez, is invited. I got mom to call Amani, Kareem’s first wife, about it, to feel her out and all, mom and Kareem’s ex-wives get along really well, so it seemed like she was the best one to broach the subject. Amazingly, Amani and her two kids are coming. She and Kareem don’t really get along, I know that, but he says it’s better now that he’s being more responsible and that he “tries” to not start up with her so much. Apparently, their whole marriage consisted of arguments and make up woohoo, at least from what I picked up over the years.
Aargh, did I mention I hate throwing parties? Finding a caterer who can make simple food, why do they all seem to think that melon wrapped with prosciutto is simple? All Aunt Dina’s contacts she had are gone now, Lucas’ mom passed away a while ago, and Aunt Dina said she’d do it except she’s tied up with wedding plans that day. Yeah, wouldn’t want to plan a wedding, thankfully the girl’s parents have to do that and I have all boys. And there’s trying to make sure Uncle Kyle and Salim aren’t too ticked off that Kareem didn’t ask them to throw the party in the first place, no small task. Plus, we have to set up everything beforehand and make sure we are back from the wedding before our guest start to arrive. And, apparently, it requires new clothes for the boys and us somehow, discussing that with Becca was a total non-starter. She glared at me and started in with, did I want my wife to wear the same old outfit that everyone had seen a million times already. Yeah, that discussion was going to get me nowhere I saw that right away. I know that the money thing is not a big issue like it was, but we have three boys to raise and put through college, plus save up enough so we don’t have to keep working till the day we drop dead like Felipe’s boss did, and at some point I’d like to get the house all paid off too. Just saying.-
-I swear parties take 10 times longer to plan and set up than the actual party. The caterer I hired was a college student studying Culinary Arts and started off good, he made some chicken dish that wasn’t too fancy and had a tarted up mac n’ cheese to go with it that reminded me of the one Nanny Prescott used to make a lot. Then he kind of petered out, he spent more time chatting up Kareem’s oldest daughter Jamila than cooking, luckily, mom had made backups. When I mentioned it to mom, she said, he seems like a very nice boy. Women! All in all though it went pretty well, everyone seemed to be having a good time and there was a lot of catching up going on, it was kind of nice to have my whole family together, I have to say. I just wish the party had been across the street at Salim and Uncle Kyle’s instead.-
And, I think Zephyr thinks he knows better than the parents. He often does stuff with Arihi because he's inquisitive and she's a genius. Still, the little terr... (I mean angel) does everything in his power to not listen.
The call rainstorm ability merfolk have can be used to cool down the lava rock faster. When you break the lava rock, you get rare collectibles such as crystals, metals, and fossils. On the other hand, you can also make it a decoration.
Zephyr had a nightmare when the lava rock fell from the sky. I'm sure he will be raining fire from the sky like his mother in no time. The animation for summoning a lava bomb is very cool, but I have not been able to get a screenshot yet. The cool down for the ability is also slowing me down.
I got the build'em blocks table for Arithi. I'm hoping it helps with her tense mood. When she finishes building it, Dylan and Zephyr will have another place to play with toys.

My husband's cataract never got worse and it doesn't really effect his vision. You can see it if you look closely at his eye. It's just a tiny spec. I would LOVE my daughter to be lucky like you and her eyesight get better.
Calum also took an active role in potty training Dylan, but Calum has always been more involved with parenting Dylan and Zephyr. Once Zephyr's potty training lesson ended, Arihi left him again, so he pulled Callum's Attention away from Dylan to learn how to talk. Zephyr was driven to learn how to speak.
Arihi and Zephyr still have some friction between them. Arihi left Zephyr to pass judgement on Calum, and when she came back, she found this. Even though changing Zephyr's Dirty Diapers is becoming a thing of the past, Zephyr is still finding ways to make things Difficult for Arihi. She really needs to stop leaving Zephyr alone.

Arihi managed to successfully teach Zephyr please and thank you. Hopefully, she'll raise his manners to minimize future messes. Dylan is becoming a well mannered toddler, and Calum didn't have any problems teaching him those magic words.
This is the judgement I received that put my sim into Hysteria before the twins were born. Also, you can clearly see that Zephyr did in fact eat most of the food he was given. He left the last little bit for the mess.
Do not give your sim toddlers animal crackers. It may make them energized, but they often crash and become angry and more defiant. Zephyr did not have a crash because he did not finish the animal crackers.
I sent one of my Sim couples, Evelyn and Nelson, to the Casbah Gallery in San Myshuno just to get them out of their apartment for a reason other than university classes and study time at the library. Everything was going fine until I find out that "Sharing is Caring" is active in the Arts District. How did I know, you ask?
Caleb Vatore - who no doubt followed them there because he won't leave them alone - straight-up stole a painting right in front of my Sims.
And since my Sims don't live in that neighborhood, there's no way for me to cheat to remove that N.A.P. I've been resisting downloading a mod to get rid of Sharing is Caring entirely, but I think I just might because Sims stealing from an ART GALLERY THAT IS ALREADY A PUBLIC SPACE SHARED BY ALL is patently ridiculous.

I can't tell if they are headed for an end or just an end to suffering but I hope they can keep together the friendship at least for Danni. I feel like she needs both of them I'm sure you're not going to do something to her parents but it's like if anything happened to them they'd be what she had and it would be just right. That said I do wonder how things will go as she ages up, probably some time from now but I'm just picturing if she'll stay sweet or if she may have a few words to give Don when she's older and understands more about the situation. Not that I want her too it's just you say you know me but I know you and you know you love picking at poor Don. I think he needs to come alive and go hide in a corner lol. For now whatever happens I'm glad their happy it's nice to just see them have a family day out.

I couldn't resist I went through so many dresses we do have a generous amount of clothes I guess I don't make enough sims to get tired of my collection. Still I always want more if the packs are coming I"m buying. It was especially funny as they were both totally fine when we got home, no bad moodlets or anything they set me up.

Some more Alyse pictures. She loves writing in her journal and rereading old entries but one of them made her cry. Probably one of the journal entries from when her husband recently passed away. She also walks into her daughter's room sometimes. She's an adult and out in the world, but her room remains unchanged to this day.
Alyse took up fossil-hunting and flower arranging as hobbies. She's a busy-bee and doesn't need anyone else to keep her happy although she does seem fond of reminiscing about old times.

No, I have get famous, but I created the lot in Sulani. I uploaded the lot to my gallery, but I think the celebrities showed up because the lot was popular.
I don't usually do evil things with my mersims, and even give some of them the good trait which prevents them from doing evil things. However, a LOT of sims wanted to be a part of the date regardless if I knew them or wanted them there.
As for my last pay through,
I overcame hysterical moodlets and successfully had twin boys with the Sulani Mana Trait as Mermen. So, now I have sims that can summon monsoons and rain fire from the sky if I so choose.
I've been having issues with my game crashing, and after losing 4 hours of raising twins I didn't plan for, I cheated them to adulthood and gave them the positive character value traits. I want them to be good for the most part.
I wanted to create a super sim, and I may give it a second go. I'm hoping to complete the childhood aspirations too. I'll leave the pair I cheated to adulthood in my gallery.
An interesting detail, I got the twins by adding the Lay-line lot trait during the pregnancy. It resulted in fraternal twins with very funky genetics.
I did edit them to make them more identical. However, I made sure to maintain as much of their original appearance as I could. The father had lighter skin with a white ethnicity, and the mother, the island elemental, was Asian. The genetics mix and matched the ethnicity. It gave the first son eyes closer to the mother but less Asian in appearance. The second one had the father's eyes shaped closer to the fathers. The first one had the father's skin color while the second one had a skin color darker than both the parents. Their eyes were a demonic solid black like the mother's (Look up the show Supernatural to see where I'm coming from). The game completely randomized the nose and other facial features.
The way the game split the genetics was exceptionally random, so I did edit their appearances. To an extent, Sulani Mana is a hidden trait, so you can't create a sim with that trait in CAS.
As for Physical features, I made changes based on the father, the original skin color for the second twin, and I changed the eye color because they are merfolk. The eye color is very similar to, if not the same as the games built in merman. The eye shape was an attempt to find a middle ground for the games attempt at the eyes. In fact, the eyes were the funkiest part of the genetics.
One twin is creative while the other took after the mother and is a genius. While attemptimg to raise the toddlers, the genius twin was a very fast learner, and he hit level 3 in almost all his skills before the game crashed.
I am nervous about whether or not I did a good job with the edits while honoring how they really were when they were born.
Ahhh, yes, I have that in my game, as far as a game without Get Famous can have! Lol, Once in a while Diego Lobo and/or Salim Benali will show up at one of the nightclubs I made out in Brindleton Bay, because it’s very popular. They never show up at the game made ones in any of the other worlds.
So, that’s the problem with building such a great nightclub, hey? Darn Super Stars come and ruin all the fun, lol
I never play with bad mermaids. I still think your use of them was fine in that case though! And wow! I never heard of that Sulani Mana trait. That sounds seriously cool! I think it was good to save that “cheated” pair in your gallery though, with the game crashing issues you’re having.
The genetics of the twins do sound very interesting! Yikes. How random. Although, I had a very pale skinned, blond Sim have 3 kids each with 7 premades in the game. And it randomized his kids with Penny Pizzazz, Siobhan Fyers, and Nalani pretty randomly too. Like tan skin with blond hair, black curly hair with pale skin, even pale skin with blond hair, which really shouldn’t happen. So I don’t know how well the game is at doing those genetic mixes.
I also think it’s fine that you edit them to look more alike. If the game made them that weird it seems like you should probably make them more the way you want them. I’m sure you honored their original looks very well, it sounds like you were cautious
It is interesting how the toddler traits influence their learning. I’ve noticed that too. What toddler trait do you consider to be a creative one? I think inquisitive leads to the genius type of child. And they learn thinking faster too.
The Sulani Mana trait comes from the Island Elementals. Only sims with the Child of the Islands trait can summon them, and you can only "ask to join household" after building a high relationship. It took me 5 and a half sim weeks to build a suitable house and raise the relationship because the Elementals can only be summoned every 12 sim hours. It was enough of a headache keeping both parents alive after making the elemental mortal because the Sulani's Breeze Moodlet for the Father kept making the father Hysterical and the mother became Mortal with the Hysterical Moodlet.

The name Dylan Zalrian and the traits are also meant to represent me to an extent. Dylan Zalrian comes from my mersona name, and I chose the traits based on the two sides of the brain, Creative and Logical. The names also have a relation to the elements because they are the children of an elemental. By the time I finished editing their appearance, my brain was fried from all the thought I put into them.

You certainly did put a lot of thought into names and traits! Holy cow! I do that in a much less scientific way, lol. Like, I wanted the baby that my Simself had with Thorne Baily to have a name that meant treasure, so I looked up names that meant treasure and chose Zephan. I wanted the baby that Don Lothario had with a different Thorne Bailey (different save) to mean Beloved Song, to represent the two of them (Thorne being a singer, and Don being a lover) So her name is Kalila Aria.
I like how you made the twins to somewhat represent you. That should make them fun to play!
Okay, so I guess a little backstory into how this playthrough started.
I took a version of an already created sim and gave him different traits. Arihi is the Elemental turned mortal, and Calum is the merman with the Child of the Islands trait. The only way to interact with Island Elementals is to have the Child of the Island Trait, and they can only be summoned every 12 hours. I started out trying to see if an elemental would give the trait to the sims if I gained their approval. I spent 5 and a half sim weeks working on that. When I gained their approval, they did not give the trait. A lot of different sources online were conflicting.
After I resigned to making an elemental mortal, I had to keep both my sims alive. Both the mother and father had to overcome the hysterical moodlet. The mother became mortal in a state of hysteria, and the father had a judgement that gave him a playful moodlet for two days. A bunch of positive moodlets made it difficult at first. After spending all that time, the game crashed and I lost 4 hours of gameplay.
The twins in the picture have the Sulani Mana Trait and they are mermen.
What this means is they have access to the abilities that come from these traits. When they become teenagers they can use:
Siren's Lullaby
Charmer's Lullaby: Removes Embarrassed Buffs and gives a +2 Flirty Moodlet
Inspiring Berceuse: Removes Uncomfortable Buffs and gives a +2 Inspired Moodlet

This functions similar to the Siren's Call, but I think it completely depletes multiple motives for the targeted sim. Some sim players have had sims drown after this ability because of the depleted energy need.
Aquatic Lure
Increase the quality of caught fish at a nearby fishing spot
Increase the quality of any plant in your garden by 1 level
The only way to get a Sim with these abilities is to have a sim that is a Merman/Mermaid have a child with an Island Elemental that is turned mortal. Island Elementals behave like ghosts, and you must do a very specific interaction to add them to your household. This interaction turns the elemental mortal so you can have children. Because of how the sim is created, cheats are required to have any control over what the created sim looks like.
So, while spellcasters cast spells, vampires have vampiric powers, and celebrities get celebrity perks, merfolk in Sulani have powers that drain a motive in exchange for a boost. However, the powers merfolk have can trigger major weather events and manipulate other sims in massive ways. A merperson's power is limitless in the water. Day 1: Introducing the Twins to new Skills
So, I'm making my second attempt at raising the Sulani Mana Twins. This time, I'm going to try and include screenshots.
First off, let's show off the toddlers outfits. I'm only sharing a few of them because there's a good chance that I will not be doing anything that requires half the outfits. Also, I gave them identical outfits because they are toddlers, and I'm trying to keep things simple. Don't forget, I lost 4 hours of game play because the game crashed. I will be taking a few shortcuts.

Important Note! The appearance of the twins is after hours of edits. For some reason, the genetics keep mix matching pieces of their appearance. I think it has a lot to do with them being mixed asian and white.
I had an extra food event right when I aged up the twins. I think they visit my house to raid my fridge because more often than not that's exactly what they do.
However, she refuses to hold her child. When one of them were babies, the save had the bassinet instead of the child in her arms. While I tried to raise them the first time, I think her loner trait made her go out of her way to avoid raising the children. I sorta changed out the loner trait when I made her a young adult. The age gap between the father and mother was a tiny bit weird.
This is a small area dedicated to their doll house and and story time. The fence helps to keep the terr...(I mean angels) on the second floor. If I need to, I can even lock the parents in with the children. I've run into trouble with eco-living where the mother would abandon her children to play the violin, she also would leave her child in the bathtub to play the violin, and I do have a screenshot with her marked as a neighbor and locked out of the house as a member of the household. I also got twins then, and they got dangerously close to starving while the mother was locked out. Toddlers can't unlock the doors for adult sims. It's something similar to how they can't turn on tvs or radios on their own.
I'm tempted to kick the elemental out. We'll see if she helps raise her children. If not, I'll make her keep up with the house. I did lock the parent's needs so I can make up for lost time.
Day 2: The Dawn of a New Day
It's a new day, and things are going a lot better. I'm going to take back what I said about keeping the elemental around. I think she's been more helpful, but I think it has a lot to do with the trait change. She's family oriented instead of a loner. This day has been a bit slower. I introduced Dylan and Zephyr to their skills, and most importantly, I made it so they can use the potty.
This moment with Zephyr was cute, even if Zephyr has been the most defiant right now. I guess he wanted to do this instead of learn how to dance.
While Calum did the dishes, Arihi got Zephyr to go to bed. Apparently, Zephyr didn't eat his meal earlier in the day, and he needed to eat again before bed. The high chair is a glitch in Zephyr's que from when I gave the twins their first meal. I play on the console, so that could be a part of it.
While the twins sleep, Arihi is dancing to the Island Radio instead of the kids radio, while Calum started a blog after he got the sad moodlet from having his island connection denied. Of course, the room's emotional aura is inspired, so I guess he's getting a boost to writing.
Dylan and Zephyr have had their first defiant moments, but I expect Dylan to be the more difficult one in the future. I gave Dylan the silly trait and Zephyr the inquisitive trait. I'm trying to make one the Creative Expert while the other is the Logical Expert. I will complete the childhood aspirations that boost those corresponding skills.
Now, I'm going to start the next day after reseting Calum. The cheats I've used aren't the norm for my playthrough, but I will not use cheats on the twins.

I forgot to mention this detail. Because Calum is a merman and he lives on a water front lot, he spends almost all his time in the swimwear outfit regardless of what I do with the other outfits. He autonomously tries to go for a swim, and the only reason he's not doing that now is because his hydration is locked in place. The mother would do the same as a mermaid.

I'm going for another long playthrough, and I figured sharing the days events will help break up the playtime.
I feel like the island connection denial will be a regular thing. Arihi cries, makes a mess, Calum becomes sad, and I have a sim mop up the puddles.
And, I think Zephyr thinks he knows better than the parents. He often does stuff with Arihi because he's inquisitive and she's a genius. Still, the little terr... (I mean angel) does everything in his power to not listen.
The call rainstorm ability merfolk have can be used to cool down the lava rock faster. When you break the lava rock, you get rare collectibles such as crystals, metals, and fossils. On the other hand, you can also make it a decoration.
Zephyr had a nightmare when the lava rock fell from the sky. I'm sure he will be raining fire from the sky like his mother in no time. The animation for summoning a lava bomb is very cool, but I have not been able to get a screenshot yet. The cool down for the ability is also slowing me down.
I got the build'em blocks table for Arithi. I'm hoping it helps with her tense mood. When she finishes building it, Dylan and Zephyr will have another place to play with toys.
Calum also took an active role in potty training Dylan, but Calum has always been more involved with parenting Dylan and Zephyr. Once Zephyr's potty training lesson ended, Arihi left him again, so he pulled Callum's Attention away from Dylan to learn how to talk. Zephyr was driven to learn how to speak.
Arihi and Zephyr still have some friction between them. Arihi left Zephyr to pass judgement on Calum, and when she came back, she found this. Even though changing Zephyr's Dirty Diapers is becoming a thing of the past, Zephyr is still finding ways to make things Difficult for Arihi. She really needs to stop leaving Zephyr alone.
Zephyr thinking to himself: That'll teach you to leave me alone in the Highchair.
Arihi managed to successfully teach Zephyr please and thank you. Hopefully, she'll raise his manners to minimize future messes. Dylan is becoming a well mannered toddler, and Calum didn't have any problems teaching him those magic words.
This is the judgement I received that put my sim into Hysteria before the twins were born. Also, you can clearly see that Zephyr did in fact eat most of the food he was given. He left the last little bit for the mess.
Do not give your sim toddlers animal crackers. It may make them energized, but they often crash and become angry and more defiant. Zephyr did not have a crash because he did not finish the animal crackers.
While Dylan and Zephyr sleep, Calum has been completing multiple upgrades on everything. He has been extremely helpful with all the household tasks. He cleans up messes, he fixes everything, he helps with the gardening, and he's the more involved parent. He's almost got the parenting maxed out.
Zephyr: "But mom, I am sorry."
Arihi: "I still don't believe you. In fact, I can't wait until you move out."
Zephyr: "Fine, I'm better off on my own anyways."
Zephyr levels up his Movement Skill as he walks away.

No, I have get famous, but I created the lot in Sulani. I uploaded the lot to my gallery, but I think the celebrities showed up because the lot was popular.
I don't usually do evil things with my mersims, and even give some of them the good trait which prevents them from doing evil things. However, a LOT of sims wanted to be a part of the date regardless if I knew them or wanted them there.
As for my last pay through,
I overcame hysterical moodlets and successfully had twin boys with the Sulani Mana Trait as Mermen. So, now I have sims that can summon monsoons and rain fire from the sky if I so choose.
I've been having issues with my game crashing, and after losing 4 hours of raising twins I didn't plan for, I cheated them to adulthood and gave them the positive character value traits. I want them to be good for the most part.
I wanted to create a super sim, and I may give it a second go. I'm hoping to complete the childhood aspirations too. I'll leave the pair I cheated to adulthood in my gallery.
An interesting detail, I got the twins by adding the Lay-line lot trait during the pregnancy. It resulted in fraternal twins with very funky genetics.
I did edit them to make them more identical. However, I made sure to maintain as much of their original appearance as I could. The father had lighter skin with a white ethnicity, and the mother, the island elemental, was Asian. The genetics mix and matched the ethnicity. It gave the first son eyes closer to the mother but less Asian in appearance. The second one had the father's eyes shaped closer to the fathers. The first one had the father's skin color while the second one had a skin color darker than both the parents. Their eyes were a demonic solid black like the mother's (Look up the show Supernatural to see where I'm coming from). The game completely randomized the nose and other facial features.
The way the game split the genetics was exceptionally random, so I did edit their appearances. To an extent, Sulani Mana is a hidden trait, so you can't create a sim with that trait in CAS.
As for Physical features, I made changes based on the father, the original skin color for the second twin, and I changed the eye color because they are merfolk. The eye color is very similar to, if not the same as the games built in merman. The eye shape was an attempt to find a middle ground for the games attempt at the eyes. In fact, the eyes were the funkiest part of the genetics.
One twin is creative while the other took after the mother and is a genius. While attemptimg to raise the toddlers, the genius twin was a very fast learner, and he hit level 3 in almost all his skills before the game crashed.
I am nervous about whether or not I did a good job with the edits while honoring how they really were when they were born.
Ahhh, yes, I have that in my game, as far as a game without Get Famous can have! Lol, Once in a while Diego Lobo and/or Salim Benali will show up at one of the nightclubs I made out in Brindleton Bay, because it’s very popular. They never show up at the game made ones in any of the other worlds.
So, that’s the problem with building such a great nightclub, hey? Darn Super Stars come and ruin all the fun, lol
I never play with bad mermaids. I still think your use of them was fine in that case though! And wow! I never heard of that Sulani Mana trait. That sounds seriously cool! I think it was good to save that “cheated” pair in your gallery though, with the game crashing issues you’re having.
The genetics of the twins do sound very interesting! Yikes. How random. Although, I had a very pale skinned, blond Sim have 3 kids each with 7 premades in the game. And it randomized his kids with Penny Pizzazz, Siobhan Fyers, and Nalani pretty randomly too. Like tan skin with blond hair, black curly hair with pale skin, even pale skin with blond hair, which really shouldn’t happen. So I don’t know how well the game is at doing those genetic mixes.
I also think it’s fine that you edit them to look more alike. If the game made them that weird it seems like you should probably make them more the way you want them. I’m sure you honored their original looks very well, it sounds like you were cautious
It is interesting how the toddler traits influence their learning. I’ve noticed that too. What toddler trait do you consider to be a creative one? I think inquisitive leads to the genius type of child. And they learn thinking faster too.
The Sulani Mana trait comes from the Island Elementals. Only sims with the Child of the Islands trait can summon them, and you can only "ask to join household" after building a high relationship. It took me 5 and a half sim weeks to build a suitable house and raise the relationship because the Elementals can only be summoned every 12 sim hours. It was enough of a headache keeping both parents alive after making the elemental mortal because the Sulani's Breeze Moodlet for the Father kept making the father Hysterical and the mother became Mortal with the Hysterical Moodlet.

The name Dylan Zalrian and the traits are also meant to represent me to an extent. Dylan Zalrian comes from my mersona name, and I chose the traits based on the two sides of the brain, Creative and Logical. The names also have a relation to the elements because they are the children of an elemental. By the time I finished editing their appearance, my brain was fried from all the thought I put into them.

You certainly did put a lot of thought into names and traits! Holy cow! I do that in a much less scientific way, lol. Like, I wanted the baby that my Simself had with Thorne Baily to have a name that meant treasure, so I looked up names that meant treasure and chose Zephan. I wanted the baby that Don Lothario had with a different Thorne Bailey (different save) to mean Beloved Song, to represent the two of them (Thorne being a singer, and Don being a lover) So her name is Kalila Aria.
I like how you made the twins to somewhat represent you. That should make them fun to play!
Okay, so I guess a little backstory into how this playthrough started.
I took a version of an already created sim and gave him different traits. Arihi is the Elemental turned mortal, and Calum is the merman with the Child of the Islands trait. The only way to interact with Island Elementals is to have the Child of the Island Trait, and they can only be summoned every 12 hours. I started out trying to see if an elemental would give the trait to the sims if I gained their approval. I spent 5 and a half sim weeks working on that. When I gained their approval, they did not give the trait. A lot of different sources online were conflicting.
After I resigned to making an elemental mortal, I had to keep both my sims alive. Both the mother and father had to overcome the hysterical moodlet. The mother became mortal in a state of hysteria, and the father had a judgement that gave him a playful moodlet for two days. A bunch of positive moodlets made it difficult at first. After spending all that time, the game crashed and I lost 4 hours of gameplay.
The twins in the picture have the Sulani Mana Trait and they are mermen.
What this means is they have access to the abilities that come from these traits. When they become teenagers they can use:
Siren's Lullaby
Charmer's Lullaby: Removes Embarrassed Buffs and gives a +2 Flirty Moodlet
Inspiring Berceuse: Removes Uncomfortable Buffs and gives a +2 Inspired Moodlet

The only way to get a Sim with these abilities is to have a sim that is a Merman/Mermaid have a child with an Island Elemental that is turned mortal. Island Elementals behave like ghosts, and you must do a very specific interaction to add them to your household. This interaction turns the elemental mortal so you can have children. Because of how the sim is created, cheats are required to have any control over what the created sim looks like.
So, while spellcasters cast spells, vampires have vampiric powers, and celebrities get celebrity perks, merfolk in Sulani have powers that drain a motive in exchange for a boost. However, the powers merfolk have can trigger major weather events and manipulate other sims in massive ways. A merperson's power is limitless in the water. The day started like normal. Dylan and Zephyr get woken up because they are hungry and need to use the potty. As toddlers with the lullabies radio playing, they are deep sleepers. Dylan has begun to throw a lot more tantrums. When he's upset, he let's his parents know. During breakfast, Dylan made a mess for Calum to clean up. When it came time for breakfast again, Arihi forced Dylan to use his diaper because she interrupted him while he was in the bathroom. Dylan responded to this by making another mess. Unlike Zephyr, Dylan made a mess and both his parents told him no. While Dylan insisted that he was neat, his brother interrupted the exchange to ask for a bath from Arihi.
Dylan: "I want to eat now!"
Dylan immediately after: "I want to sleep now!"
Calum approaches Dylan: "Listen to your mother, she can rain fire from the sky and conjure thunderstorms."
Zephyr in the bedroom thinking to himself: "This dollhouse is fun, but I think I need a bath."
Dylan learned to think in a very different way from his brother. He had more creative ways to learn his basic needs, and he still had trouble getting anything right. Dylan isn't the logical type, but he has a good heart. He's slowly becoming well-mannered and kind.
Zephyr has been learning from his mother. She's a genius, and Zephyr is inquisitive. You'd think they would get along well, but Arihi has an interesting way of teaching him at times. At other times when she's more involved, Zephyr gets frustrated, but he also has an easy time getting the flashcards right. They have a very good relationship in spite of their rivalry.
Dinner time for Dylan and Zephyr had its own interesting moments. Zephyr made a mess and had another exchange with his mother. When it came time for him to leave the highchair, he did not want his mom to do it. Instead, he interrupted the action to ask for the dad's help.
Zephyr: I'm tired and I don't want to eat anymore!
Also Zephyr: Making messes is fun!
Calum: You need to eat your food.
Dad helps Zephyr out of the highchair and walks away. Dylan passes out in the highchair.
Zephyr: "We don't want any pests."
Arihi thinking: "What is that awful smell."
-Nana’s gone, I mean, you know, she passed away. And now my wedding, I mean, me and Felipe’s wedding is going to have to be postponed, I can’t get married while my whole family’s in mourning, it would be just awful. But, well, I don’t know what to do, I mean, everything is all set and there are huge amounts of non-refundable deposits. This is, it’s… too much. I can’t deal with it and my Nana is gone, she won’t be there, how do I even get married without her there?-
-The Monte**gros came over to pay respects and all, and they want to take over moving the wedding date back. Mom and dad said it was not their responsibility and that they would muddle through it somehow. Then Uncle Hector, said that this was as close to planning a wedding that Aunt Jade would ever get, so let her do it, she was chomping at the bit to get her hands on it. Aunt Jade was not pleased with the reference. Then Felipe said to dad, that he was getting married to me and was technically family too, so it was only right that he helped us, that’s what family does. That we were all in this together now. Eventually mom and dad agreed, but dad said that if the Monte**gros needed us to step in we would and to please not hesitate to ask for it. Felipe said, with all due respect sir, if me, mami and papi can’t do this, no one else can either, that I know. So mom gave all the wedding stuff to them.-

-I hate going to funerals and, well, I know it’s not supposed to be fun or anything. But there is so much idle chatter and insincere stuff going on it wears me out. I just wanted to go to my room and cry. Maybe that’s the point, so you don’t just lay around and wallow. Felipe was a rock, he just held me a lot and let me cry and stuff and didn’t say anything to me much. What’s there to say? I asked him about how the wedding stuff was going and he told me not to worry, that the Monte**gros were on it.
There’s the house too and all of Nana’s stuff to go through still, mom and Aunt Nina are still pretty much wrecks, so I don’t know how they’ll cope with that part, I don’t know if I could right now myself. The one good thing is that Aunt Nina and Lilith are being nice to each other, they even talked a few times and were civil the whole time. Maybe that’s the one bright thing in all of this darkness.-
-I don’t know how they did it but our wedding is all moved back a couple months now. Rumor has it that Felipe sweet talked the lady at the park commission and used all his charm to get her to agree to let us have a new date as soon as anything opened up. Which it did, and it’s not costing us anything for the change either. That man can sure charm me, but I guess I’m not the only one. Even the caterer and florist, although Aunt Jade had to change some of the arrangements to get more seasonal flowers, which she asked me about and I told her to do whatever she thought best, I sounded just like Felipe, I guess. Now we just have to get through dealing with Nana’s stuff and the house.-
-Felipe took me to lunch at that diner in Newcrest one day and when I mentioned that it would be kind of sad that Nana wouldn’t be at our wedding, he said that maybe I could wear something of her’s, you know, like a garter for something borrowed. Then I remembered she had a pearl bracelet. I’ve got a strand of pearls from my sweet 16 already, and I could totally wear them with my dress, that way, it would be like she was there with me. Felipe sometimes surprises me, well, he can have these really sweet ideas. I told him that I wasn’t sure why he loved me, but that I thought I was a way better person with him than I was before we were together. Really, he said, I find that hard to believe, because the Roxie I know is pretty terrific, she spent a lot of her early college shuttling home to make sure her brother got through his coming out, even though she had a boyfriend and all. Plus, she totally didn’t have much of a college experience because of it either. And when she graduated, she took it on herself to make sure her sister got through college, because she knew that living in a dorm wasn’t going to work for her. Then with her brother again, she saw that he was developing an eating disorder and got her parents to take notice so they could straighten him out. So, as far as I’m concerned, she’s a pretty good person, way better than most. That’s the girl I love.-
-Mom said Aunt Nina had wanted the bracelet, but she was sure she would let me borrow it. So I called her, and asked if I could borrow it for my wedding, the next day she came over and gave it to me, then she said she changed her mind, and that it was now my something old, that Nana would want me to have it. I told her that I thought it was important to her from what mom said, and she said, that it was, that Nana never wore it but just took it out and looked at it sometimes, and that she, as a little girl, always imagined it was from her dad. That it was just a fantasy she had as a little kid. But that it might have been from some musician or even Dina’s dad and well, she had two boys anyway, and she couldn’t stand it if Lilith ended up with it someday. Plus, I knew the minute you asked, that it was what mom would have wanted, for you to wear it at your wedding, that would have made her happy, she said. I hugged her then and thanked her. And if you’re lucky, maybe you’ll have a girl, and you can pass it on to her, she added. Lot’s of references floating around about me and Felipe having kids, I’m starting to notice, and we aren’t even married yet.-
-Felipe took me on a drive, he didn’t say where we were going. He took me to Nana’s house and he had the key. He jumped out of the car and unlocked the door and motioned me inside. He didn’t say anything, he just walked all around and looked at the backyard and the pool, then he said, I think we should buy this house Roxie. It would be a great house to start our family in. I mean, he said, I know it might be weird for you, and I didn’t know your grandmother that well, but I kind of think that she would have wanted to keep it in the family, wouldn’t she? So, what do you think? I wondered why I hadn’t thought of it myself, I told him. Well, you’ve had a lot on your mind lately, but I mean, he continued, it’s a really nice house and this neighborhood is where my parents first lived, plus Nanny Prescott would be one of our neighbors. How cool is that? It did sound good to me. So I said I liked the idea. One thing though, he added, I don’t want us to live together here till we’re married. I mean we can buy it and you could live here or I could, but I don’t want to live with you till you’re my wife. I want to carry you over the threshold and into our home for the first time as Mrs. Felipe Monte**gro. I know that sounds old fashioned, but it’s how I feel, if that’s Ok with you? Don’t worry, I said, by the time the sell goes through, it will be our wedding day anyway.-
Nelson somehow got a C+ in one of his final university classes, bringing him to an A- average and robbing him of the distinction of graduating with honors. He had done everything right but for the one time he was slightly late to a class, but somehow the game saw fit to give him a C+ for that small offense. I was incensed, so I decided to play their final term over again.
The second playthrough is going more favorably. He and Evelyn got engaged on their Love Day dinner date, and it won't be long before they can graduate and finally get on with their lives. After all, Nelson needs to start having kids if he's going to complete his aspiration.
Oh, and I downloaded a mod that prevents swiping on community lots with Sharing is Caring enacted. No more brazenly stealing art from public spaces!
Shinya went to University. He is studying Computer Science and on the soccer team at Brriechester living in Drake Hall. The first semester didn't go too well. Shinya wrote his papers, did his presentation and his homework. He got one B and three Fs resulting in him getting put on suspension. If he would have studied instead of going on a mission to impregnate someone and becoming a global superstar, he might have done better. The second term he decided to buckle down and bring his grades up. He was doing fine until he turned in a term paper that was plagiarized which resulted in him getting suspended. Not sure how that happened, but next time the option to edit his paper comes up, he will do so.
Upon suspension, he succeeded in impregnating Octavia Baily. He then got a call from some old woman telling him she will give money if he marries within seven days. He decided to try and find someone to marry and divorce at the time of his suspension. He set his sights on Kayla Flemming. (I think that was her last name) The two really hit it off and quickly got married. The woman never did call back or give the money. So she tricked a non-committal highly promiscuous sim who wanted nothing to tie him down to get married. He kind of felt that was the case, but he wanted the money to help him get started in life.
When Kayla became pregnant the two moved from his tiny studio apartment in San Myshuno to a nice 3 bedroom home Brindleton Bay. Shinya encouraged Kayla to join the acting career and she landed her first audition. He encouraged her to find odd jobs to get her out of the house. While she was away at one, he invited his long time "special friend" to have some fun in the hot tub. Kayla came home and caught the two. She stood there and watched as they went on as if she wasn't even there. Kayla was fuming mad. They fought all the time and she instigated angry woohoo often. They both wanted a divorce and it was nearing time he could enroll back into uni, but his child wasn't born yet and he wasn't leaving until she was.
Octavia called and said to Shinya that she and Thorne were talking about trying to have a baby and wanted to Shinya's input. Given that she was pregnant with Shinya's son at the time, I spun it as she pulled a "Heart ' All I wanna do" and told him "Please understand I'm in love with another man and what he couldn't give me was the one little thing that you can." He reluctantly agreed, after all, he knew it was best. His own marriage was soon to be ending and he didn't want others to hurt more.
Shinya did try at least be friendly to her, but she just wasn't going to have it. All she wanted to do was angry woohoo which was preparing their romantic relationship, but their friendship kept going down more and more each time they talked. So Shinya decided he needed someone to have a civil conversation with. While Kayla was away filming he decided to have Caleb over an afternoon delight. Kayla again came home in the middle of the act. Seeing her husband with someone one else twice now while she's carrying her child angered her so much that she went into labor. Shinya and Kayla welcomed their daughter Harmony.
Promptly upon the birth of their daughter, Shinya filed for divorce and it was granted quickly. Shinya is no back as Britechester majoring in Computer Science, on the soccer team, and even has his old dorm room back at Drake Hall. He has a lighter course load so he has time to work and make some money to pay child support. He would prefer that the 90k he was awarded in the divorce to be used to start a new life once uni is done.
Over on Simsta, the Vatores now have a little brother! (MCCC decided they were getting a sibling, not me!) Here is the very cute and fashionable Luca, for once he ages up to toddlerhood! He's got brown hair from his Dad Chester (like Caleb), and blue eyes from his Mum Dahlia (who also has black hair, which Lilith inherited; Chester has brown eyes that both Vatore twins got).
(I don't have Nifty Knitting yet, so he was just a Generic Baby and that's just boring.)

For the outfits, I just do them in CAS! I have a mod that makes the background white and removes the shadow, and then I just screencap away, pop them all in an image editor, and crop.
Nothing wrong with just spending time in each other's company! I mean, that can be pretty rare! Glad Kareem has chilled out a lot, and I laughed at the 'moist plushy' line. Yeah, sometimes you just want something lowkey XD
Oh, poor Roxie Glad they were able to get everything moved back without too much trouble. (Real world - my brother set his wedding back by a year because of, well, COVID. It was meant to be this weekend. Instead, he, his fiancee, and their friends are going on a little 'minus first anniversary' vacation, which is pretty fun.) Felipe and Roxie are really sweet together. Felipe can be a real romantic!

The sequel is now doing much the same. I can feeeeeel the next chapter staring at me! And yup, it's a tradition in the House they come from, the Ninth House. Harrow (as the heir to the house) takes it very seriously, Gideon... does not, but wears it during the course of the story since she's required to. And yup, Caleb... doesn't like Vlad but he's terrified of Miss Hell, who did, after all, ruin his life :-\ It was not a good time for the poor kid (he had only just turned 19).
@Wintermute oh, Caleb, no! You could just take control of someone in the neighbourhood, then turn on Testing Cheats and shift-click their mailbox to repeal it? I also turn off NPC voting in the options, which means the only NAPs in action are ones I actively set up.

This little household comes from my Sims 3 game. I did a rags to riches challenge with them. They never got what would be considered riches, but I had a background story for them, and I became more engaged in the story than the challenge. I grew fonder of them than I expected.
They're sisters, not mother and daughter, with a 13-year age gap. The backstory was they had to leave home for safety because their mom chose her new boyfriend over them (a very common tragic thing in real life, unfortunately). In Sims 3, the little one grew up to be a private investigator. Her big sister opened a daycare and had a pet dragon.
No ideas for them in Sims 4 yet. I'm not a big fan of Get To Work's careers (they very quickly become repetitive and boring), and I don't want to do another rags to riches challenge, so for now, they're a regular household having fun on a nice day.
1900-1902 In the last days I've aged up around a dozen neighbor. Wilhelm is now a teenager and I thought it would be time again for family pictures, but I forgot it was friday in my game, so the girls left the shop for school when I made the picture below.

Well i updated my sims4studio and decided to make some new clothing. i allready made a hoodie pack but that was only for adults when i tried putting them on kids/todler it glitched them out and made them look like slendermans. so im now creating a seperate packs for below adults. and then i hopefully can merge them.
but there is 1 other problem wich you can see in the pictures below.
so as you can see the blue looks like its made from plastic it should look like a real fabric but im not sure how i can make that i tried using noise which works a little bit but its also a neh.

Right after their dinner date in my game last night, Evelyn and Nelson befriended a female stray cat with tiger stripes (no picture because I'm not yet a Member even after 11 years...oops) just outside the restaurant. The cat's name was Loki, which is most definitely not a female name, so I renamed her Freyja.
A Sim day or so afterward, her human servants got married in the park in Willow Creek, and are currently expecting their first nooboo, much to Nelson's delight as a Sim who wants a big family. Thanks to the mod I downloaded that increases the cost of university tuition, they owe almost as much in student loans as they are worth, household funds and property value combined. This is going to be a challenge, but that's what makes the game fun and just that much more realistic.
Evelyn is currently in her first trimester, and while she's banging out a new book to help pay off their massive student loan debt, I get the "GONE INTO LABOR" notification. No, it's not Evelyn going into premature labor...it's Freyja. Being that I've never had a pregnant pet in the game, I couldn't tell she was pregnant at all. Their small apartment is about to become a little more crowded, with a human baby and at least one kitten on the way.
Needless to say, the Kendricks are in for a challenging few Sim weeks. Wish me luck.
Hey everyone! Thank you to everyone who left comments on my last two updates. I am going to try to get in a comment post by the weekend and respond properly.
I broke my usual rule of "I don't decorate" this week and made my sims Bruce and Walker a kitchen.
Technically it's not a rule, I'm just generally too lazy. But a couple of rotations ago I moved them into a large house on a large lot with too much landscaping, and to make it fit their budget I had to have them sell their furniture and then buy the minimum to get by for a while. And then Bo bought a vet clinic with the money they did have. Bruce makes a few thousand every day in royalties though, so I'm gradually updating their house a room at a time. So far I've done the master bathroom and the kitchen.
And the new kitchen remodel was done just in time for All Spook's Eve!

Then changed into costume and made some more.
The family was invited for a party, but there was some kind of bug where I couldn't click on any of the guests to interact with them. I could invite them to join group activities though, so Bo asked his new girlfriend, his grandfather Akira and Uncle Finnian to join him at the game console.'
Finnian is in the front. Akira wisely came in a costume that concealed 100% of his body, which in some versions of vampire fiction would have kept him safe from the sun.
Cordelia did not plan her costumer quite so well, so fortunately Bruce talked her, Erick and Athena into a game of cards.
Yep, Athena's wearign a giant robot costume. Bruce and Erick managed to recover from the embarrassment of wearing the same cheerleader costume.
Walker got the rest of the guests to join him in the pool. And this was not really appropriate attire for greeting trick-or-treaters.
So he changed into an astronaut costume.
The next day was the "Day of the Departed," so they took the remains of their dog Rufus, who passed last rotation, and buried him at the pet cemetery next to Bruce and Walker's first pets.
They hung out at the cemetery for a while reminiscing and telling stories about their beloved pets.
Maximilian joined them for a while.
There was something else scheduled for this week besides the holiday - Bruce and Walker's birthday! Before that happened, I temporarily moved Cordelia in so she could paint Walker's portrait before he aged. I didn't get a pic of the finished project but here's the screenshot version.

Bruce and Walker decided to go out to eat together for their big day. They went to a pub I downloaded and placed in Windenberg. The menu is a combo of British and German pub food and fancy French food (my other Windenberg restaurant covers Italian, Spanish and Greek).
They were very flirty.
Not sure what this face is, but it seems to work on Bruce.
They went with the lobster thermidor, because it was their last night as adults. Walker seemed enthusiastic about it.
When they got home they decided to, um, inspect the closet.
Might as well enjoy it while there's no risk of death, right? Still seemed to take a bit out of both of them.
I ended up changing them very little when they aged up, because I just didn't like them any other way. So they're the same, just grayer.

The Munch family meals club showed up, and so did Amelia, who seemed to be having some... issues with her sister at the time. Or maybe it's Wolfie she's glaring at? Holly doesn't look much happier, to be honest.
I was a bit worried that Bo would set a fire while making he birthday cake and interrupt the, um, closet inspection, but he did not. However my first try at initiating closet activity was interrupted by the arrival of surprise kittens!
Silver, the mother cat, has the roaming trait that I knew could result in kittens, but she's an elder so I thought the chance of that was past. Guess not! I'm assuming the father looks something like this:
I named that one Mystery.
The other I named Enigma, she looks like their mother.
So... they have kittens now! I think I'm going to give Enigma to Athena's household when she's full grown, and keep Mystery. The current dog and cat in this household are both elders, so they were going to need another one soon anyway.

Excerpts from the Journal of Omar Benali
-So I think I have everything set up, Mom will have Uncle Kyle and Salim helping her with the boys in shifts. And Than’s coming home to have Kaden over for a sleepover this weekend, Kaden is really excited to be treated like a big boy and get to stay with Than. And me and Becca are taking our long overdue honeymoon finally. I couldn’t get the bigger cabin, which bums me out, but Becca says it’s fine if we rough it a bit with an outdoor shower, she says it’s more romantic that way, but I don’t know.
The first day we did a bit of fishing, Becca took a nature walk while I fished a bit more, she really liked being in the woods, it reminded her of her childhood. We played some horseshoes, then for supper I cooked up some trout I had caught and it was delicious. After supper, we lit a campfire and roasted some marshmallows for dessert. Afterwards, I put out the fire and put away the leftovers and washed up the dirty dishes and by the time I was done I was completely knackered, Becca had gone to change into her good nightgown. Don’t laugh, most of our sleepwear is old stuff we can’t wear around the house anymore. {Note to self: Buy Becca some nice nightgowns for her next birthday, maybe get Roxie or Miranda to help me shop.} But by the time I got done and went to the bed, Becca was fast asleep, so I just got into bed and slept myself. Yeah, I know, some romance, but honestly, sleeping felt really good.
We made up for it then next day, Becca grilled some fruit for breakfast and we spend the rest of morning in bed, but not sleeping. That afternoon we went over to the National Forrest part, Becca got some terrariums with bugs in them for the boys and found a crystal that matched mom’s bedroom color for her. Can’t go back home empty handed, can we? We went to the top of the lookout at the Ranger outpost and enjoyed the view a while, then we just went back to the cabin. We did a bit more fishing together, I caught a big salmon, my favorite ever since it was my fist big catch fishing, so I grilled it up for our supper. Then more roasted marshmallows on the campfire for dessert and bed, but we didn’t go to sleep right away this time. Honestly, it sounds like it might have been boring, but just getting my wife all to myself for two whole days felt like a big adventure to me. I hated to leave there, but, well, responsibilities and all, sigh.-
The first night was mostly just a lot of talking.
The second, more fishing together.
Omar grilled the salmon he caught for dinner.
Roasted marshmallows for dessert, again.

Which led to some indoor fireworks.
-I got home from work to find my older brother, Kareem, working on my kitchen sink shirtless. He told me that there was a clog in the sink and that he couldn’t find my snake to take care of it, so he had to remove the sink trap. Unfortunately, he miscalculated with the bucket and got his shirt wet and dirty. Mom was washing it for him. Then he noticed the spigot dripped a lot so he fixed that too. Kareem is a fix-it guy, he’s always been handy, when I was a kid he used to show me how to fix things around the apartment when he came over. I told him the snake, along with my mounted salmon was MIA ever since we moved, I looked at Becca when I said that and again she didn’t comment. Ah, Kareem said, I have this with my socks, they elope with each other and leave me with ones that do not go together. I just agreed, my brother has some odd ideas about stuff and it’s best to just let it go.
Fatima, Kareem’s second wife and their daughter Miriam were with him, I hadn’t see Miriam in a while and I couldn’t get over how much she’d, well, blossomed, she had gotten to be a very pretty young girl. The thing about Kareem’s wives is that they both kind of have big hair, they have long hair but it’s kind of really puffy on top, I always thought that must be Kareem’s thing.
Then Kareem said, I need to ask you a big favor little brother, Fatima has consented to give me another chance to be her husband. And, since it is the second time, we are just going to go to the City Hall, not a big wedding. But, I thought that it might be nice to have a party after at your big house. Well, Kareem, I said, throwing parties is really kind of Salim and Uncle Kyle’s thing though. Yes, I know, he answered, Kyle Jeffries loves to throw parties, but he is too fancy for us, we don’t want that kind of party, just something with simple food and family, you understand. I know that it is a lot to ask, but you are my family and if you cannot count on your family, well then…..
I hate throwing parties, that’s such an Uncle Kyle thing. The thing is Kareem has changed a lot since we had the big reconciliation, he pays his child support and alimony on time and he visits us more often, he seems to be way more involved in his children’s lives now too. I guess Fatima noticed the change and, well, liked it. So what can I do, he’s my brother, and I love him and want him to make the marriage work this time and be happy, so I said yes.
Kareem threw his arms around me and hugged me, and yes he was still shirtless and sweaty and hugging him was a bit like hugging a moist plushy. Kareem, for all his faults, is way more demonstrative than either me or Salim. He’s not shy about being emotional or showing it, which with him being kind of a macho guy is not what you’d expect. Then I spent some time getting to know Fatima and Miriam better as did Becca and the boys, mom cooked everyone dinner and we all ate together before they left.-

- One good thing, mom is over the moon about it, she’s really happy that Kareem and Fatima are giving it another try, she worried a lot about Kareem being all alone, that I know. Oh, and another good thing, if I’m honest, is that the thing with Than and Nicolette Reardon is over, Than said that it had run it’s course, whatever that means, he seems totally OK about it, which I don’t get, in my experience, break ups are messy and painful. But, as Becca often reminds me, Than is not me with an artistic talent, he is his own totally different person.-
-This “simple” party now somehow includes the Clarkes, Kareem met them at Kaden’s birthday party and liked them, he says they are “salt of the earth” people, whatever that means, and considers them part of his extended family, even thought he is not actually related to them in any way whatsoever. Oh yeah, and Robert Morin, mom’s boyfriend, jeez, is invited. I got mom to call Amani, Kareem’s first wife, about it, to feel her out and all, mom and Kareem’s ex-wives get along really well, so it seemed like she was the best one to broach the subject. Amazingly, Amani and her two kids are coming. She and Kareem don’t really get along, I know that, but he says it’s better now that he’s being more responsible and that he “tries” to not start up with her so much. Apparently, their whole marriage consisted of arguments and make up woohoo, at least from what I picked up over the years.
Aargh, did I mention I hate throwing parties? Finding a caterer who can make simple food, why do they all seem to think that melon wrapped with prosciutto is simple? All Aunt Dina’s contacts she had are gone now, Lucas’ mom passed away a while ago, and Aunt Dina said she’d do it except she’s tied up with wedding plans that day. Yeah, wouldn’t want to plan a wedding, thankfully the girl’s parents have to do that and I have all boys. And there’s trying to make sure Uncle Kyle and Salim aren’t too ticked off that Kareem didn’t ask them to throw the party in the first place, no small task. Plus, we have to set up everything beforehand and make sure we are back from the wedding before our guest start to arrive. The call rainstorm ability merfolk have can be used to cool down the lava rock faster. When you break the lava rock, you get rare collectibles such as crystals, metals, and fossils. On the other hand, you can also make it a decoration.
Zephyr had a nightmare when the lava rock fell from the sky. I'm sure he will be raining fire from the sky like his mother in no time. The animation for summoning a lava bomb is very cool, but I have not been able to get a screenshot yet. The cool down for the ability is also slowing me down.

I can't tell if they are headed for an end or just an end to suffering but I hope they can keep together the friendship at least for Danni. I feel like she needs both of them I'm sure you're not going to do something to her parents but it's like if anything happened to them they'd be what she had and it would be just right. That said I do wonder how things will go as she ages up, probably some time from now but I'm just picturing if she'll stay sweet or if she may have a few words to give Don when she's older and understands more about the situation. That was my thought my guy just looked at me while I was laughing at my mistake, I explained so he would laugh too, yeah the girls will gossip about their homebody leader but when he's around they know how to behave, no matter what I say. I couldn't resist I went through so many dresses we do have a generous amount of clothes I guess I don't make enough sims to get tired of my collection. Still I always want more if the packs are coming I"m buying. It was especially funny as they were both totally fine when we got home, no bad moodlets or anything they set me up.
Oh and I don't know if you saw but after correcting my mistake simred got pregnant with a boy so now Ibrahim's cousin will have someone of her very own and the lines will continue it matters cause on short they really will be just living forever.

The Background Info
No, I have get famous, but I created the lot in Sulani. I uploaded the lot to my gallery, but I think the celebrities showed up because the lot was popular.
I don't usually do evil things with my mersims, and even give some of them the good trait which prevents them from doing evil things. However, a LOT of sims wanted to be a part of the date regardless if I knew them or wanted them there.
As for my last pay through,
I overcame hysterical moodlets and successfully had twin boys with the Sulani Mana Trait as Mermen. So, now I have sims that can summon monsoons and rain fire from the sky if I so choose.
I've been having issues with my game crashing, and after losing 4 hours of raising twins I didn't plan for, I cheated them to adulthood and gave them the positive character value traits. I want them to be good for the most part.
I wanted to create a super sim, and I may give it a second go. I'm hoping to complete the childhood aspirations too. I'll leave the pair I cheated to adulthood in my gallery.
An interesting detail, I got the twins by adding the Lay-line lot trait during the pregnancy. It resulted in fraternal twins with very funky genetics.
I did edit them to make them more identical. However, I made sure to maintain as much of their original appearance as I could. The father had lighter skin with a white ethnicity, and the mother, the island elemental, was Asian. The genetics mix and matched the ethnicity. It gave the first son eyes closer to the mother but less Asian in appearance. The second one had the father's eyes shaped closer to the fathers. The first one had the father's skin color while the second one had a skin color darker than both the parents. Their eyes were a demonic solid black like the mother's (Look up the show Supernatural to see where I'm coming from). The game completely randomized the nose and other facial features.
The way the game split the genetics was exceptionally random, so I did edit their appearances. To an extent, Sulani Mana is a hidden trait, so you can't create a sim with that trait in CAS.
As for Physical features, I made changes based on the father, the original skin color for the second twin, and I changed the eye color because they are merfolk. The eye color is very similar to, if not the same as the games built in merman. The eye shape was an attempt to find a middle ground for the games attempt at the eyes. In fact, the eyes were the funkiest part of the genetics.
One twin is creative while the other took after the mother and is a genius. While attemptimg to raise the toddlers, the genius twin was a very fast learner, and he hit level 3 in almost all his skills before the game crashed.
I am nervous about whether or not I did a good job with the edits while honoring how they really were when they were born.
The Sulani Mana trait comes from the Island Elementals. Only sims with the Child of the Islands trait can summon them, and you can only "ask to join household" after building a high relationship. It took me 5 and a half sim weeks to build a suitable house and raise the relationship because the Elementals can only be summoned every 12 sim hours. It was enough of a headache keeping both parents alive after making the elemental mortal because the Sulani's Breeze Moodlet for the Father kept making the father Hysterical and the mother became Mortal with the Hysterical Moodlet.

The name Dylan Zalrian and the traits are also meant to represent me to an extent. Dylan Zalrian comes from my mersona name, and I chose the traits based on the two sides of the brain, Creative and Logical. The names also have a relation to the elements because they are the children of an elemental. By the time I finished editing their appearance, my brain was fried from all the thought I put into them.

I started out trying to see if an elemental would give the trait to the sims if I gained their approval. I spent 5 and a half sim weeks working on that. When I gained their approval, they did not give the trait. A lot of different sources online were conflicting.
After I resigned to making an elemental mortal, I had to keep both my sims alive. Both the mother and father had to overcome the hysterical moodlet. The mother became mortal in a state of hysteria, and the father had a judgement that gave him a playful moodlet for two days. A bunch of positive moodlets made it difficult at first. After spending all that time, the game crashed and I lost 4 hours of gameplay.
The twins in the picture have the Sulani Mana Trait and they are mermen.
What this means is they have access to the abilities that come from these traits. When they become teenagers they can use:

The only way to get a Sim with these abilities is to have a sim that is a Merman/Mermaid have a child with an Island Elemental that is turned mortal. Island Elementals behave like ghosts, and you must do a very specific interaction to add them to your household. This interaction turns the elemental mortal so you can have children. Because of how the sim is created, cheats are required to have any control over what the created sim looks like.
So, while spellcasters cast spells, vampires have vampiric powers, and celebrities get celebrity perks, merfolk in Sulani have powers that drain a motive in exchange for a boost. However, the powers merfolk have can trigger major weather events and manipulate other sims in massive ways. A merperson's power is limitless in the water. They are immune to drowning, can swim as fast as a jet ski, and can sleep in the water. The Sulani Mana power has a cool down between uses.
Small edit:
This is a very time consuming task, and after experimentation, the trait can only be acquired through gameplay. Clones of these sims made in CAS will not have the Sulani Mana Trait.

Day 1: Introducing the Twins to new Skills
First off, let's show off the toddlers outfits. I'm only sharing a few of them because there's a good chance that I will not be doing anything that requires half the outfits. Also, I gave them identical outfits because they are toddlers, and I'm trying to keep things simple. Don't forget, I lost 4 hours of game play because the game crashed. I will be taking a few shortcuts.

Important Note! The appearance of the twins is after hours of edits. For some reason, the genetics keep mix matching pieces of their appearance. I think it has a lot to do with them being mixed asian and white.

I had an extra food event right when I aged up the twins. I think they visit my house to raid my fridge because more often than not that's exactly what they do.

Even after she becomes mortal, she still judges my sim and cries puddles that need to get cleaned up.

However, she refuses to hold her child. When one of them were babies, the save had the bassinet instead of the child in her arms. While I tried to raise them the first time, I think her loner trait made her go out of her way to avoid raising the children. I sorta changed out the loner trait when I made her a young adult. The age gap between the father and mother was a tiny bit weird.
This is a small area dedicated to their doll house and and story time. The fence helps to keep the terr...(I mean angels) on the second floor. If I need to, I can even lock the parents in with the children. I've run into trouble with eco-living where the mother would abandon her children to play the violin, she also would leave her child in the bathtub to play the violin, and I do have a screenshot with her marked as a neighbor and locked out of the house as a member of the household. I also got twins then, and they got dangerously close to starving while the mother was locked out. Toddlers can't unlock the doors for adult sims. It's something similar to how they can't turn on tvs or radios on their own.

This moment with Zephyr was cute, even if Zephyr has been the most defiant right now. I guess he wanted to do this instead of learn how to dance.

While the twins sleep, Arihi is dancing to the Island Radio instead of the kids radio, while Calum started a blog after he got the sad moodlet from having his island connection denied. Of course, the room's emotional aura is inspired, so I guess he's getting a boost to writing.

I'm trying to make one the Creative Expert while the other is the Logical Expert. I will complete the childhood aspirations that boost those corresponding skills.
Now, I'm going to start the next day after reseting Calum. The cheats I've used aren't the norm for my playthrough, but I will not use cheats on the twins.

Day 4: The Twins Learn to Talk
While Dylan and Zephyr sleep, Calum has been completing multiple upgrades on everything. He has been extremely helpful with all the household tasks. He cleans up messes, he fixes everything, he helps with the gardening, and he's the more involved parent. He's almost got the parenting maxed out.

Zephyr learned to talk first, and it probably has a lot to do with how driven he was to learn. This is his first conversation.
Arihi: "You should eat your food, not throw it on the floor."
Zephyr: "But it was fun, and you left me in the highchair alone again."

No, I have get famous, but I created the lot in Sulani. I uploaded the lot to my gallery, but I think the celebrities showed up because the lot was popular.
I don't usually do evil things with my mersims, and even give some of them the good trait which prevents them from doing evil things. However, a LOT of sims wanted to be a part of the date regardless if I knew them or wanted them there.
As for my last pay through,
I overcame hysterical moodlets and successfully had twin boys with the Sulani Mana Trait as Mermen. So, now I have sims that can summon monsoons and rain fire from the sky if I so choose.
I've been having issues with my game crashing, and after losing 4 hours of raising twins I didn't plan for, I cheated them to adulthood and gave them the positive character value traits. I want them to be good for the most part.
I wanted to create a super sim, and I may give it a second go. I'm hoping to complete the childhood aspirations too. I'll leave the pair I cheated to adulthood in my gallery.
An interesting detail, I got the twins by adding the Lay-line lot trait during the pregnancy. It resulted in fraternal twins with very funky genetics.
I did edit them to make them more identical. However, I made sure to maintain as much of their original appearance as I could. The father had lighter skin with a white ethnicity, and the mother, the island elemental, was Asian. The genetics mix and matched the ethnicity. It gave the first son eyes closer to the mother but less Asian in appearance. The second one had the father's eyes shaped closer to the fathers. The first one had the father's skin color while the second one had a skin color darker than both the parents. Their eyes were a demonic solid black like the mother's (Look up the show Supernatural to see where I'm coming from). The game completely randomized the nose and other facial features.
The way the game split the genetics was exceptionally random, so I did edit their appearances. To an extent, Sulani Mana is a hidden trait, so you can't create a sim with that trait in CAS.
As for Physical features, I made changes based on the father, the original skin color for the second twin, and I changed the eye color because they are merfolk. The eye color is very similar to, if not the same as the games built in merman. The eye shape was an attempt to find a middle ground for the games attempt at the eyes. In fact, the eyes were the funkiest part of the genetics.
One twin is creative while the other took after the mother and is a genius. While attemptimg to raise the toddlers, the genius twin was a very fast learner, and he hit level 3 in almost all his skills before the game crashed.
I am nervous about whether or not I did a good job with the edits while honoring how they really were when they were born.
The Sulani Mana trait comes from the Island Elementals. Only sims with the Child of the Islands trait can summon them, and you can only "ask to join household" after building a high relationship. It took me 5 and a half sim weeks to build a suitable house and raise the relationship because the Elementals can only be summoned every 12 sim hours. It was enough of a headache keeping both parents alive after making the elemental mortal because the Sulani's Breeze Moodlet for the Father kept making the father Hysterical and the mother became Mortal with the Hysterical Moodlet.

The name Dylan Zalrian and the traits are also meant to represent me to an extent. Dylan Zalrian comes from my mersona name, and I chose the traits based on the two sides of the brain, Creative and Logical. The names also have a relation to the elements because they are the children of an elemental. By the time I finished editing their appearance, my brain was fried from all the thought I put into them.

Okay, so I guess a little backstory into how this playthrough started.
I took a version of an already created sim and gave him different traits. Arihi is the Elemental turned mortal, and Calum is the merman with the Child of the Islands trait. The only way to interact with Island Elementals is to have the Child of the Island Trait, and they can only be summoned every 12 hours. I started out trying to see if an elemental would give the trait to the sims if I gained their approval. I spent 5 and a half sim weeks working on that. When I gained their approval, they did not give the trait. A lot of different sources online were conflicting.
After I resigned to making an elemental mortal, I had to keep both my sims alive. Both the mother and father had to overcome the hysterical moodlet. The mother became mortal in a state of hysteria, and the father had a judgement that gave him a playful moodlet for two days. A bunch of positive moodlets made it difficult at first. After spending all that time, the game crashed and I lost 4 hours of gameplay.
The twins in the picture have the Sulani Mana Trait and they are mermen.
What this means is they have access to the abilities that come from these traits. When they become teenagers they can use:

The only way to get a Sim with these abilities is to have a sim that is a Merman/Mermaid have a child with an Island Elemental that is turned mortal. Island Elementals behave like ghosts, and you must do a very specific interaction to add them to your household. This interaction turns the elemental mortal so you can have children. Because of how the sim is created, cheats are required to have any control over what the created sim looks like.
So, while spellcasters cast spells, vampires have vampiric powers, and celebrities get celebrity perks, merfolk in Sulani have powers that drain a motive in exchange for a boost. However, the powers merfolk have can trigger major weather events and manipulate other sims in massive ways. A merperson's power is limitless in the water. They are immune to drowning, can swim as fast as a jet ski, and can sleep in the water. The Sulani Mana power has a cool down between uses.

This is a very time consuming task, and after experimentation, the trait can only be acquired through gameplay. Clones of these sims made in CAS will not have the Sulani Mana Trait.

Day 1: Introducing the Twins to new Skills
First off, let's show off the toddlers outfits. I'm only sharing a few of them because there's a good chance that I will not be doing anything that requires half the outfits. Also, I gave them identical outfits because they are toddlers, and I'm trying to keep things simple. Don't forget, I lost 4 hours of game play because the game crashed. I will be taking a few shortcuts.
So, on with the first pictures:
Important Note! The appearance of the twins is after hours of edits. For some reason, the genetics keep mix matching pieces of their appearance. I think it has a lot to do with them being mixed asian and white.

Now, onto the bedroom in which the twins are currently sleeping in:

I had an extra food event right when I aged up the twins. I think they visit my house to raid my fridge because more often than not that's exactly what they do.

Even after she becomes mortal, she still judges my sim and cries puddles that need to get cleaned up.

However, she refuses to hold her child. When one of them were babies, the save had the bassinet instead of the child in her arms. While I tried to raise them the first time, I think her loner trait made her go out of her way to avoid raising the children. I sorta changed out the loner trait when I made her a young adult. The age gap between the father and mother was a tiny bit weird.
This is a small area dedicated to their doll house and and story time. The fence helps to keep the terr...(I mean angels) on the second floor. If I need to, I can even lock the parents in with the children. I've run into trouble with eco-living where the mother would abandon her children to play the violin, she also would leave her child in the bathtub to play the violin, and I do have a screenshot with her marked as a neighbor and locked out of the house as a member of the household. I also got twins then, and they got dangerously close to starving while the mother was locked out. Toddlers can't unlock the doors for adult sims. It's something similar to how they can't turn on tvs or radios on their own.

I'm tempted to kick the elemental out. We'll see if she helps raise her children. If not, I'll make her keep up with the house. I did lock the parent's needs so I can make up for lost time.
Day 2: The Dawn of a New Day
This moment with Zephyr was cute, even if Zephyr has been the most defiant right now. I guess he wanted to do this instead of learn how to dance.

When I tried to put them to bed, Dylan decided that he wanted to do what his brother did.

While Calum did the dishes, Arihi got Zephyr to go to bed. Apparently, Zephyr didn't eat his meal earlier in the day, and he needed to eat again before bed. The high chair is a glitch in Zephyr's que from when I gave the twins their first meal. I play on the console, so that could be a part of it.

While the twins sleep, Arihi is dancing to the Island Radio instead of the kids radio, while Calum started a blog after he got the sad moodlet from having his island connection denied. Of course, the room's emotional aura is inspired, so I guess he's getting a boost to writing.

Dylan and Zephyr have had their first defiant moments, but I expect Dylan to be the more difficult one in the future. I gave Dylan the silly trait and Zephyr the inquisitive trait. I'm trying to make one the Creative Expert while the other is the Logical Expert. I will complete the childhood aspirations that boost those corresponding skills.
Now, I'm going to start the next day after reseting Calum. The cheats I've used aren't the norm for my playthrough, but I will not use cheats on the twins.

I forgot to mention this detail. Because Calum is a merman and he lives on a water front lot, he spends almost all his time in the swimwear outfit regardless of what I do with the other outfits. He autonomously tries to go for a swim, and the only reason he's not doing that now is because his hydration is locked in place. The mother would do the same as a mermaid.
Day 3: The Dawn of a Rivalry
I feel like the island connection denial will be a regular thing. Arihi cries, makes a mess, Calum becomes sad, and I have a sim mop up the puddles.

Meanwhile, Dylan is babbling to himself about super heroes when doesn't even know what they are.

And, I think Zephyr thinks he knows better than the parents. He often does stuff with Arihi because he's inquisitive and she's a genius. Still, the little terr... (I mean angel) does everything in his power to not listen.

On the other hand, Dylan did learn to say please and thank you before he learned how to talk.
Still, my sims are terrible at potty training, and Dylan is becoming a real artist.

If sims touch it while it's hot, they burn to death. I think the Child of the Islands trait is required to touch it while hot.

The call rainstorm ability merfolk have can be used to cool down the lava rock faster. When you break the lava rock, you get rare collectibles such as crystals, metals, and fossils. On the other hand, you can also make it a decoration.
Zephyr had a nightmare when the lava rock fell from the sky. I'm sure he will be raining fire from the sky like his mother in no time. The animation for summoning a lava bomb is very cool, but I have not been able to get a screenshot yet. The cool down for the ability is also slowing me down.

Day 4: The Rivalry Continues
This next day turned out quite productive and Arihi finally stepped up.
The day started with some dirty diapers that needed to get changed.

Once Zephyr's potty training lesson ended, Arihi left him again, so he pulled Callum's Attention away from Dylan to learn how to talk. Zephyr was driven to learn how to speak.

Arihi and Zephyr still have some friction between them. Arihi left Zephyr to pass judgement on Calum, and when she came back, she found this. Even though changing Zephyr's Dirty Diapers is becoming a thing of the past, Zephyr is still finding ways to make things Difficult for Arihi. She really needs to stop leaving Zephyr alone.

Day 5: Learning Shapes and Basic Needs
The day started like normal. Dylan and Zephyr get woken up because they are hungry and need to use the potty. As toddlers with the lullabies radio playing, they are deep sleepers. Dylan has begun to throw a lot more tantrums. When he's upset, he let's his parents know. During breakfast, Dylan made a mess for Calum to clean up. When it came time for breakfast again, Arihi forced Dylan to use his diaper because she interrupted him while he was in the bathroom. Dylan responded to this by making another mess. Unlike Zephyr, Dylan made a mess and both his parents told him no. While Dylan insisted that he was neat, his brother interrupted the exchange to ask for a bath from Arihi.
Dylan: "I want to eat now!"
Dylan immediately after: "I want to sleep now!"

Dylan learned to think in a very different way from his brother. He had more creative ways to learn his basic needs, and he still had trouble getting anything right. Dylan isn't the logical type, but he has a good heart. He's slowly becoming well-mannered and kind.

Zephyr has been learning from his mother. She's a genius, and Zephyr is inquisitive. You'd think they would get along well, but Arihi has an interesting way of teaching him at times. At other times when she's more involved, Zephyr gets frustrated, but he also has an easy time getting the flashcards right. They have a very good relationship in spite of their rivalry.

Dinner time for Dylan and Zephyr had its own interesting moments. Zephyr made a mess and had another exchange with his mother. When it came time for him to leave the highchair, he did not want his mom to do it. Instead, he interrupted the action to ask for the dad's help.

Also Zephyr: Making messes is fun!
Calum: You need to eat your food.

-Nana’s gone, I mean, you know, she passed away. And now my wedding, I mean, me and Felipe’s wedding is going to have to be postponed, I can’t get married while my whole family’s in mourning, it would be just awful. But, well, I don’t know what to do, I mean, everything is all set and there are huge amounts of non-refundable deposits. This is, it’s… too much. I can’t deal with it and my Nana is gone, she won’t be there, how do I even get married without her there?-
-The Monte**gros came over to pay respects and all, and they want to take over moving the wedding date back. Mom and dad said it was not their responsibility and that they would muddle through it somehow. Then Uncle Hector, said that this was as close to planning a wedding that Aunt Jade would ever get, so let her do it, she was chomping at the bit to get her hands on it. Aunt Jade was not pleased with the reference. Then Felipe said to dad, that he was getting married to me and was technically family too, so it was only right that he helped us, that’s what family does. That we were all in this together now. Eventually mom and dad agreed, but dad said that if the Monte**gros needed us to step in we would and to please not hesitate to ask for it. Felipe said, with all due respect sir, if me, mami and papi can’t do this, no one else can either, that I know. So mom gave all the wedding stuff to them.-
The Monte**groes step in to help.
-I hate going to funerals and, well, I know it’s not supposed to be fun or anything. But there is so much idle chatter and insincere stuff going on it wears me out. I just wanted to go to my room and cry. Maybe that’s the point, so you don’t just lay around and wallow. Felipe was a rock, he just held me a lot and let me cry and stuff and didn’t say anything to me much. What’s there to say? I asked him about how the wedding stuff was going and he told me not to worry, that the Monte**gros were on it.
There’s the house too and all of Nana’s stuff to go through still, mom and Aunt Nina are still pretty much wrecks, so I don’t know how they’ll cope with that part, I don’t know if I could right now myself. The one good thing is that Aunt Nina and Lilith are being nice to each other, they even talked a few times and were civil the whole time. Maybe that’s the one bright thing in all of this darkness.-
-I don’t know how they did it but our wedding is all moved back a couple months now. Rumor has it that Felipe sweet talked the lady at the park commission and used all his charm to get her to agree to let us have a new date as soon as anything opened up. Which it did, and it’s not costing us anything for the change either. That man can sure charm me, but I guess I’m not the only one. Even the caterer and florist, although Aunt Jade had to change some of the arrangements to get more seasonal flowers, which she asked me about and I told her to do whatever she thought best, I sounded just like Felipe, I guess. Now we just have to get through dealing with Nana’s stuff and the house.-
-Felipe took me to lunch at that diner in Newcrest one day and when I mentioned that it would be kind of sad that Nana wouldn’t be at our wedding, he said that maybe I could wear something of her’s, you know, like a garter for something borrowed. Then I remembered she had a pearl bracelet. I’ve got a strand of pearls from my sweet 16 already, and I could totally wear them with my dress, that way, it would be like she was there with me. Felipe sometimes surprises me, well, he can have these really sweet ideas. I told him that I wasn’t sure why he loved me, but that I thought I was a way better person with him than I was before we were together. Really, he said, I find that hard to believe, because the Roxie I know is pretty terrific, she spent a lot of her early college shuttling home to make sure her brother got through his coming out, even though she had a boyfriend and all. Plus, she totally didn’t have much of a college experience because of it either. And when she graduated, she took it on herself to make sure her sister got through college, because she knew that living in a dorm wasn’t going to work for her. Then with her brother again, she saw that he was developing an eating disorder and got her parents to take notice so they could straighten him out. So, as far as I’m concerned, she’s a pretty good person, way better than most. That’s the girl I love.-
-Mom said Aunt Nina had wanted the bracelet, but she was sure she would let me borrow it. That it was just a fantasy she had as a little kid. But that it might have been from some musician or even Dina’s dad and well, she had two boys anyway, and she couldn’t stand it if Lilith ended up with it someday. Plus, I knew the minute you asked, that it was what mom would have wanted, for you to wear it at your wedding, that would have made her happy, she said. I hugged her then and thanked her. And if you’re lucky, maybe you’ll have a girl, and you can pass it on to her, she added. The second playthrough is going more favorably. He and Evelyn got engaged on their Love Day dinner date, and it won't be long before they can graduate and finally get on with their lives. After all, Nelson needs to start having kids if he's going to complete his aspiration.
Oh, and I downloaded a mod that prevents swiping on community lots with Sharing is Caring enacted. No more brazenly stealing art from public spaces!
Upon suspension, he succeeded in impregnating Octavia Baily. He then got a call from some old woman telling him she will give money if he marries within seven days. He decided to try and find someone to marry and divorce at the time of his suspension. He set his sights on Kayla Flemming. (I think that was her last name) The two really hit it off and quickly got married. The woman never did call back or give the money. So she tricked a non-committal highly promiscuous sim who wanted nothing to tie him down to get married. He kind of felt that was the case, but he wanted the money to help him get started in life.
When Kayla became pregnant the two moved from his tiny studio apartment in San Myshuno to a nice 3 bedroom home Brindleton Bay. Shinya encouraged Kayla to join the acting career and she landed her first audition. He encouraged her to find odd jobs to get her out of the house. While she was away at one, he invited his long time "special friend" to have some fun in the hot tub. Kayla came home and caught the two. She stood there and watched as they went on as if she wasn't even there. Kayla was fuming mad. They fought all the time and she instigated angry woohoo often. They both wanted a divorce and it was nearing time he could enroll back into uni, but his child wasn't born yet and he wasn't leaving until she was.
Octavia called and said to Shinya that she and Thorne were talking about trying to have a baby and wanted to Shinya's input. Given that she was pregnant with Shinya's son at the time, I spun it as she pulled a "Heart ' All I wanna do" and told him "Please understand I'm in love with another man and what he couldn't give me was the one little thing that you can." He reluctantly agreed, after all, he knew it was best. His own marriage was soon to be ending and he didn't want others to hurt more.
Shinya did try at least be friendly to her, but she just wasn't going to have it. All she wanted to do was angry woohoo which was preparing their romantic relationship, but their friendship kept going down more and more each time they talked. So Shinya decided he needed someone to have a civil conversation with. While Kayla was away filming he decided to have Caleb over an afternoon delight. Kayla again came home in the middle of the act. Seeing her husband with someone one else twice now while she's carrying her child angered her so much that she went into labor. Shinya and Kayla welcomed their daughter Harmony.
Promptly upon the birth of their daughter, Shinya filed for divorce and it was granted quickly. Shinya is no back as Britechester majoring in Computer Science, on the soccer team, and even has his old dorm room back at Drake Hall. He has a lighter course load so he has time to work and make some money to pay child support. He would prefer that the 90k he was awarded in the divorce to be used to start a new life once uni is done.

For the outfits, I just do them in CAS! I have a mod that makes the background white and removes the shadow, and then I just screencap away, pop them all in an image editor, and crop.
Nothing wrong with just spending time in each other's company! I mean, that can be pretty rare! Glad Kareem has chilled out a lot, and I laughed at the 'moist plushy' line. Yeah, sometimes you just want something lowkey XD

But honestly, I think if they are that incompatible, it'd be better for everyone to at least make a clean break of it, so it's not like... going behind people's backs and breaking promises and stuff.

The sequel is now doing much the same. I can feeeeeel the next chapter staring at me! And yup, it's a tradition in the House they come from, the Ninth House. Harrow (as the heir to the house) takes it very seriously, Gideon... does not, but wears it during the course of the story since she's required to. And yup, Caleb... doesn't like Vlad but he's terrified of Miss Hell, who did, after all, ruin his life :-\ It was not a good time for the poor kid (he had only just turned 19).
@Wintermute oh, Caleb, no! You could just take control of someone in the neighbourhood, then turn on Testing Cheats and shift-click their mailbox to repeal it? I also turn off NPC voting in the options, which means the only NAPs in action are ones I actively set up.

They're sisters, not mother and daughter, with a 13-year age gap. The backstory was they had to leave home for safety because their mom chose her new boyfriend over them (a very common tragic thing in real life, unfortunately). In Sims 3, the little one grew up to be a private investigator. Her big sister opened a daycare and had a pet dragon.
No ideas for them in Sims 4 yet. I'm not a big fan of Get To Work's careers (they very quickly become repetitive and boring), and I don't want to do another rags to riches challenge, so for now, they're a regular household having fun on a nice day.

A Sim day or so afterward, her human servants got married in the park in Willow Creek, and are currently expecting their first nooboo, much to Nelson's delight as a Sim who wants a big family. Thanks to the mod I downloaded that increases the cost of university tuition, they owe almost as much in student loans as they are worth, household funds and property value combined. This is going to be a challenge, but that's what makes the game fun and just that much more realistic.
Evelyn is currently in her first trimester, and while she's banging out a new book to help pay off their massive student loan debt, I get the "GONE INTO LABOR" notification. No, it's not Evelyn going into premature labor...it's Freyja. Being that I've never had a pregnant pet in the game, I couldn't tell she was pregnant at all. Their small apartment is about to become a little more crowded, with a human baby and at least one kitten on the way.
Needless to say, the Kendricks are in for a challenging few Sim weeks. Wish me luck.
I broke my usual rule of "I don't decorate" this week and made my sims Bruce and Walker a kitchen.
Technically it's not a rule, I'm just generally too lazy. But a couple of rotations ago I moved them into a large house on a large lot with too much landscaping, and to make it fit their budget I had to have them sell their furniture and then buy the minimum to get by for a while. And then Bo bought a vet clinic with the money they did have. Bruce makes a few thousand every day in royalties though, so I'm gradually updating their house a room at a time. So far I've done the master bathroom and the kitchen.
And the new kitchen remodel was done just in time for All Spook's Eve!

The family was invited for a party, but there was some kind of bug where I couldn't click on any of the guests to interact with them. I could invite them to join group activities though, so Bo asked his new girlfriend, his grandfather Akira and Uncle Finnian to join him at the game console.'
Finnian is in the front. Akira wisely came in a costume that concealed 100% of his body, which in some versions of vampire fiction would have kept him safe from the sun.
Cordelia did not plan her costumer quite so well, so fortunately Bruce talked her, Erick and Athena into a game of cards.
Yep, Athena's wearign a giant robot costume. Bruce and Erick managed to recover from the embarrassment of wearing the same cheerleader costume.
Walker got the rest of the guests to join him in the pool. And this was not really appropriate attire for greeting trick-or-treaters.
So he changed into an astronaut costume.
The next day was the "Day of the Departed," so they took the remains of their dog Rufus, who passed last rotation, and buried him at the pet cemetery next to Bruce and Walker's first pets.
They hung out at the cemetery for a while reminiscing and telling stories about their beloved pets.
Maximilian joined them for a while.
There was something else scheduled for this week besides the holiday - Bruce and Walker's birthday! Before that happened, I temporarily moved Cordelia in so she could paint Walker's portrait before he aged. I didn't get a pic of the finished project but here's the screenshot version.

They went with the lobster thermidor, because it was their last night as adults. Walker seemed enthusiastic about it.
When they got home they decided to, um, inspect the closet.
Might as well enjoy it while there's no risk of death, right? Still seemed to take a bit out of both of them.
I ended up changing them very little when they aged up, because I just didn't like them any other way. So they're the same, just grayer.

I tried to take a picture of Walker ordering and got a little too close to the waiter.
The Munch family meals club showed up, and so did Amelia, who seemed to be having some... issues with her sister at the time. Or maybe it's Wolfie she's glaring at? Holly doesn't look much happier, to be honest.
I was a bit worried that Bo would set a fire while making he birthday cake and interrupt the, um, closet inspection, but he did not. However my first try at initiating closet activity was interrupted by the arrival of surprise kittens!
Silver, the mother cat, has the roaming trait that I knew could result in kittens, but she's an elder so I thought the chance of that was past. Guess not! I'm assuming the father looks something like this:
I named that one Mystery.
The other I named Enigma, she looks like their mother.
So... they have kittens now! I think I'm going to give Enigma to Athena's household when she's full grown, and keep Mystery. The current dog and cat in this household are both elders, so they were going to need another one soon anyway.
