Hidden Springs ... The Abbott House

The Abbott house in Hidden Springs is an excellent example of wasted space.

I like the grand stairway ... But this is a new century ... Time to get more bang for your buck.
If you find that a Quarter of your house is a stairway ... And you are forced to live in dinky rooms ... Shoot the builder.





You don't need two 12 foot hallways to get to a door on either side of a dinky bathroom hidden behind the stairs.
Make the bathroom bigger ... Accessible from three different main rooms ... And better use the space available.



You can even keep a "grand entry" ... And a nice landing on the second floor ... Without a lot of wasted space.



Same goes for the property value and utilizing the view ... Lord knows how much a Sim would pay for that lot ... Get your money's worth.



First off ... I mentioned the view.
Typically, if you have a great view then you want to see it ... Put some windows in that sucker.

The changes that you made to the home look very great! It was very nice seeing pictures of the original layout and funishing of the interior of the home, then seeing the renovated/remodelled version that you have done. The exterior looks so very nice! The type of and placement of the windows looks so very nice! The dome windows look so nice!
The new version is very nice!

Thanks @rosemow ... I tried to stay with kind of classic interiors.
I brought in the darker brown wooden windows to accent the openings.
I kept everything simple except maybe the nursery.

My favorite part was not that much of a change ... I love the terracotta roof with a little bit lighter stucco.

You've done a truly lovely job on this remodel! And I really like your presentation, too. Great job showing how much the bare bones builds that come with the game can be spruced up, without having to be rebuilt.
