Can't play the game

Hi! Yesterday I had to reinstall my game because of lag and now I can't play it. When I click on the play button in Origin it loads for a minute and then it comes up a new "window" where it says "We can't connect you to the EA-servers to activate The Sims 4 on this computer with your account. Try again later."

I have tried to repair it and turn off the computer and start it again and nothing works... I have had the game since january this year and have never hade any problem with it until now and I really want to play it..

Someone who knows what I can do? :)

Hello.
Try coming out of Orgin, right click on the origin icon, and click run as adminstrator and see if that helps.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling origin and see if that helps.

I'm on a MacBook Pro and can't find the run as administrator button when I right click, can I find that anywhere else?

I tried to uninstall and reinstall origin but that did not work either..

I will copy and paste what helped another simmer who was Mac and has the same issue with receiving the same message.

Hey guys, I just got mine to work (I'm on a Mac). I closed Origin, and launched Sims 4 from the Applications folder. It opened up Origin as well, but the game started with no errors. Hope this will work for you too!

That may be what you are already doing but just in case it helps I will post it.

Try moving your sims 4 folder (that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then try to start the game. If you can start the game, a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Start a new game and test to see if the game is working okay. Exit the game and then add back the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated folders with the old folders.

If you still have issues after that, you may need to be in touch with EA Help

The thing is that I can't find any The Sims 4 folder or Electronic Arts folder, only the Application to the game.

I guess I will have to be in contact with EA help.

Sounds like you're looking in Programs. There are two areas your Sims files are in. The game-running software is in Programs. The files the game makes after you start the game to store your gameplay in is in Documents.

C:
- Users
- - [your user]
- - - Documents
- - - - Electronic Arts
- - - - - The Sims 4

Thanks for your help but I was just in contact with the EA help and it now works perfectly, it was something about Origin! :)
