The Sims 4 Mac minimum requirements have been posted and they are for who haven't seen them. What are your thoughts on them?

Macintosh System Requirements for The Sims 4
MINIMUM OS: Mac OS® X 10.7.5 (Lion) CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz Processor or better
RAM: At least 4 GB RAM
HARD DRIVE: At least 10 GB of free space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content and saved games
VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT, ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro or better. Video RAM of 256MB or better
INPUT: Keyboard and Mouse
ONLINE REQUIREMENTS: Internet connection required for product activation.

To be honest they seem VERY low....

That's basically the equivalent to the pc requirements. :)

Hahaha, that was funny! Hopefully my iMac can run it with flying colors then! :)

My iMac is more than in the clear; if I play it and it really does run smoothly, I'm looking forward to getting rid of my Boot Camp partition and reclaiming my entire hard drive. B) And yes, that is pretty similar to the PC requirements, since the PC can run on WinXP and we're 3 OS past Lion (Mountain Lion, Mavericks, Yosemite).

Your mac should run the game just fine. There are only two types of computers out there, mac's and pc's. And both are equivalent to each other. :)

I'm sure you could still play it but it's just not the requirements that EA recommends.

Looks good, I'm glad I already upgraded my iMac to 10.5 up to Yosemite

looks like I meet the requirements on both my laptop and desktop...

So I wonder how much longer we have to wait.

If they know the minimum requirements, don't you think it'd be very close to being done? I'm feeling this Tuesday for a release.......

I have intel 3000 and the game plays fine on bootcamp. 4000 is a step up from mine so it should be fine.

The specs are similar to the PC specs. That's good... I think.

I am not so good with Macs though.

It is good. It means a wider variety of people can play without having issues to worry about. I just hope they turn it up to 64bit instead of 32bit. Don't see that happening though :\

My laptop has a Intel 585 in it. It's laggy, but Sims 4 will run on it. Now my desk top has a Intel Core in it, and the game runs just fine on that. With a Intel 3000 or 4000, the game should be okay with those. :)

Should be fine, if you have problems with it though when it comes out try turning the graphics down to medium.

You should be okay, it maybe a little laggy. But it should run with what you got. The game only takes up 4 G's. :)

I may or may not be getting a Mac, but would this Mac be good enough for the Sims 4? :)

Also, would I be allowed to install the Sims 3 on a Mac even though I purchased a Windows-version of them? :)

They could if they had a little more people, and a little more time. There's not a lot of people putting this game together, and they are on a very tight time schedule. :)

Would probably run the sims 4 great. And yes, you can download the mac version from origin onto the mac. :)

Is upgrading to the versions of the operating systems free on the Mac app store? Like Mountain Lion to Yosemite or Mavericks to Yosemite. And so on?
