Options disabled while "Sim is aging"

I just purchased The Sims 4 about 3 days ago. I hadn't had any problems with sims aging...or dying for that matter. Yesterday, an announcement came up saying it was almost my Sim's birthday. I traveled to a bar and when I tried going back home it said something like "you can't travel while sim is aging".

I waited, my sim became an adult.. I tried going home again (by clicking the "house" icon) but it didn't work, the same message would show up. I tried using my cell phone to travel and the same thing came up. I restarted my game, it got to that point where it was her birthday and the game won't let me save or build/buy "while sim is aging" (even if she already aged) !! :neutral_face:

Has anybody else experienced this?? Does anybody know how to fix it?
Any advice is appreciated :)

Try the links in my sig... I run with mods so I clear my cache out pretty often. If that doesn't work, you might try the one to roll back to an earlier save. I haven't done that, but maybe someone who has will drop in on this thread.

Yes!! :D
I cleared the cache as instructed in your link, I started the game again and it worked!
I celebrated her birthday with a cake and all too just in case lol

I had the same issue with one of my family's, only it was proposing instead of aging up, lol.
