Oasis Springs Base Game is a lovely modern family home! @chips46 Very nice exterior design, roofing, and the flower beds are so very pretty! Very lovely outdoors areas! The cat and dog statues are a special touch at the front door. Very nice furnishing and layout of the interior!
I have posted about your home on your showcase thread.
The creative building and decor going on in this thread really is blowing me away.
I have no CC and only a couple of expansion packs however I had a go at refitting the inside of a starter home I downloaded. Completely changed the interior layout of the walls and also extended so it doesn't really resemble itself anymore. The garden also got a bit of a makeover.
This house is lived in by Sim versions of me and my husband - prizes for people who guess which one I am correctly!
Very nice furnishing of the home! @Ayeffen The wall art on the computer study desk wall is nice and the books look great on the table under the tv. Sims will enjoy sitting on the sofa or armchair watching tv, playing console games or reading books from the bookcase. The coat stand and shoes rack are nice home touches.Very nice kitchen design! The industrial style looks great! The leafy wall pattern in the bedroom gives a nice calming feel and look to the room. Very pretty outdoors flowers! The gardening boxes and planters patio is great!
It is a nice home
When I spotted that jungle wallpaper I knew I had to use it. I wish my bedroom looked like that! I think the brass light fiittings and bed lamps give it a nice feel.
The Sim version of Ayeffen is also an avid horticulturalist! His job at as a Freelancer gives him the flexibility to tend his garden of a morning - often bringing in several thousand simoleons when it comes time to sell the produce!
Euro Family home is a lovely home! @Taoron Very nice exterior design and the towers look great! The pool and outdoors dining patio is very nice! The blossoms are pretty! Very nice furnishing and layout of the interior! Great design of kitchen stove wall! The stone wall texture and the placement of wall cabinets looks great! Very nice windows dining alcove! Sims will enjoy dining in the sunshine .
It is a lovely family home
Halloween Fun Park is such a very special Halloween themed build! @luckyheather It is so very detailed! The outdoors and interior areas are all very great! All the family will have fun spending time there! The medieval fort, interior puppet theatre area, cinema area, bar, coffee shop, magic room with cauldron, patterned walls, garden areas, bridge, string lights and the colours used through the build looks very great! It is such a very creatively designed and Halloween furnished park!
Hey @luckyheather wow your park is amazing and looks so fun! @Taoron very nice classic house, the sunroom is so neat & wonderful artwork, I especially love the dog pictures @Ayeffen this is so lovely cluttered and it really looks lived in @hey maus so nice that you start building, I hope you enjoy it. i think you have to change something in the settings that we can see your pictures - I can only see the 2nd one, if you don't figure out whats wrong you could use imgur for uploading pictures

Fixed repost: The reason I used photobucket (which I won't ever again cause watermarks) was that I'd hosted them there in an album for my brother look at.
Presenting... my first house: The house I grew up in!
The house has some minor proportion issues - I suspect it's the fact that the walls are a lot thicker in real life haha. It's basically right, though.
What does upset me is that when you don't carpet a section upstairs, there's no see-through ceiling. (@Taoron) Where you don't have carpet upstairs, you no longer have a gap showing downstairs. Ruins the hallway somewhat. Ah well!
Presenting... my first house... the house I grew up in!
Hallway
Into my granddad's study (SO much tidier than IRL)
Next door is the kitchen. IRL, there'd be stuff ontop of the cabinets and one of those surface hobs with an oven in the wall cabinet by the sink
Mustn't forget the dog's bed!
The door in the kitchen leads to the lobby that joins the utility room (I know) and garage.
From outside
There's a downstairs toilet. Yep.
Next door to the kitchen is the dining room (Weren't houses so much posher in 1982?)
Then across the hall from the study and next door to the dining room is our ridiculously shaped and sized living room.
Why put the fireplace there of all places? Honestly. It ruins everything. All that's missing is my brother's piano near the cabinets, because his is a standup against the wall piano, not a grand, obviously!
Just noticed my grandmother's chair is missing ahah. She never uses that desk anyway. Her pc is in my room really.
Upstairs hallway
My grandmother's room - the most accurate imo, considering the furniture constraints. It should be a wee bit bigger though.
Then the shower room en-suite
My granddad's room next door (He snores like a walrus which is why insomniac grandmother kicked suggested separate rooms
His room is a bit bigger than really - there's a slanty ceiling which adds to it but I cba to try to do that.
Across the hall is my brother's room.
]
Next to him is my room.
The bathroom is next to my room.
Hurrah for giant wall mirror, right?
Outside aspects of the garden
The lobby and kitchen corner area.
My grandmother's observatory is a bit less like a giant telescope... It's a round green thing with two tiny telescopes in.
There's usually a giant gazeebo in the summer. And that pool is meant to be a pond but I couldn't find a water tool and was losing the will to live haha.
I don't know if I get you right @Maus652 but if you wish a big hole in the ceiling you just have to fence in that area, take the sledgehammer tool and delete the floor. Afterwards you can also delete the fence / wall. If you want to have a bigger staircase it is necessary to put a fence where the stair is coming up - a wall will delete the stair - then you can also delete these floor tiles. I hope that helps you
The Sportman’s Lodge art is very nice! @Taoron The dogs and deers art are especially nice. The art will look great on the walls of your Lodge.
It is very nice that you have started building and very special that you made a sims gameversion of the real life home that you grew up in as your first home @maus652 The home is lovely! Very nice exterior and the pond and back patio outdoors living area is very nice. Very nice furnishing of the interior! The coat stand is a homely touch in the hallway nook. It is very nice looking at the pictures and reading your special descriptions about the rooms, your family, the items that are in the rooms and the layout. Your grandma’s bedroom is very pretty! The floral wallpaper is lovely and very nice corner booknook area. You and your brother’s bedrooms are also very nice. Very nice computer study desk corner nooks and the wall shelving looks great.
Your real life home would be very nice as the simversion is lovely

Ah I used the sledgehammer when I first noticed the problem - but then I couldn't put the carpet back where I needed it to be on the landing!
It's fine. I don't want to delete the fence/wall (bannister!) because it's supposed to be there. This just wasn't an issue on previous games.

To make it accurate, I ought to put piles of clothes on my floor

@Taoron Excellent use of the castle turrets. It makes me think of a home on a grand estate where the "backup" heirs would live.
Thanks! They are a nice source of natural light too.
