Hello @User123456
I am sorry, but if you are unable to access the Sims 4 folder on your laptop, you won’t be able to transfer the home to your pc
If though you uploaded the home to the community section of the gallery, you could redownload it into your game on your pc .
I know this is old, but I have been trying to transfer my game over. It's save 0.000002b and no other files are called that, I put all versions into my laptop, but it just won't work.

Hello
The save file needs to have .save on the end of it. Try also renaming the file to another number that is not already used and don’t include the letter b.
Are any other saved game files that you have transferred over working? The games creates save files when you start a new save game, but don’t save it. This file may be one of those.
Hey! I have a bit of a problem. The pc my sims game is currently on recently died COMPLETELY. I’ve purchased a new one. I Unfortunately did not previously save my game to a flash drive. Is their any way for me to access my saved game or even access the sims at all without having to repurchase and download it? Anything would help! Thanks!

Hello @xoxo_gianna
I am sorry but you won’t be able to access your saved game files.
But you don’t need to repurchase The Sims 4 game.
Your sims 4 game is linked to your origin account. When you get your new computer, dowload and install Origin onto it. Then log into origin on your new computer using the same account that you used to register the game and packs on the old computer , then click on the Games Library section, click on the sims 4 picture, then download/install it there. Then click the extra content button that is half way down the page. That will take you to a screen that shows you what game packs, stuff packs and eps you own. You can then download/install them there.
Hey! I'm a little late to respond but needed to make a comment! So I didn't read every single post but needed to say something to all mac users out there! You can often connect apple IDs to your computer/laptops. When you do this drag the files (saves and trays) into imessage and send it to yourself, it will be delivered to both computers and from there you take the contents and put them all into the correct folders on your other computer! By the way my name is Violet and I am a long term sim user but short term forum user. I've started posting on forums recently and found a love for it! Please come to me if you ever have any questions reguarding sims or macs!

Hello @VioletPlays Welcome to the forums! This section of the forums is more for tech issues for simmers who use Windows. It may best for you to post in Mac section of the forums. Mac simmers would be reading the threads more there than here. You are very kind to post helpful information for Mac Users http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/categories/the-sims-4-on-mac-discussions
I apologize if I'm making you repeat yourself yet again, but I had some really sweet builds and sims on my old computer which fried. So I bought a new pc and have built a ton of new builds and sims. Is it also possible to add sims and lots from the old hard drive into the new? Or saving them to the gallery from the old drive and downloading into the current game on the new pc? Same process as you've already mentioned? Word to the wise, upload all your stuff to the gallery, or at least your library!

Hello @SvetlanaDrago
Are you able to make a copy of your documents -Electronic Arts -sims 4 - tray folder that was in the sims 4 folder on your old computer? If you are, you can transfer the tray files of your creations from the old tray folder that was on your old computer, into the documents -Electronic Arts -sims 4 - tray folder on your new computer. Then your builds and sims will be in your library.
You can make a copy of the tray folder and place it on an external drive. Then copy the files onto the new computer. Or if you can still access the gallery on your old computer, you can upload them to the community section of the gallery, then download them into your library on the new compuretl
My old computer unexpectedly stopped working, so I had to get a new computer, and I lost all my data and progress, I was very upset about it, but then again I could just re-download and re-make everything, but that's going to take week, even months, so have any suggestions, or some things that will work?

Hello @Izzygirl2000
I am sorry that your old computer stopped working and you lost all your files That isn’t very nice at all!
If you can’t access your sims 4 folder from your old computer, I am so sorry but you will need to start a new save game file and won’t be able to have your old save games unless you had made backup copies of the save files /Sims 4 folder and put them on an external drive. If you have uploaded your creations to the community section of the Gallery, you can redownload them into your library.
@rosemow thanks, I tried to find what I could in the community section of the gallery, there wasn't much but at least there was something (maybe I can try to get my old computer to work one last time?)

I hope that you may be able to get your old computer to work, then you could make a copy of your sims 4 folder and place it on an external drive. Then you could copy the old saves, tray and mods folders from this copy, and replace the same folders in the new Sims 4 folder on your new computer with these folders.
If you have any technically skilled friends, it's often possible to hook an old hard drive up to someone else's computer and pull data off of it that way. This is because starting a computer up requires booting up the operating system and lots of other little elements, any one of which could cause you problems if it goes bad, while they won't necessarily touch your sims 4 folder.
It isn't all that hard (just grab a USB hard drive adapter/enclosure), but a lot of people are more comfortable asking a tech savvy friend/family member to hold their hand through it.

You can use a tool such as the tray importer, to work out which files in your old tray folder refer to what build or sims household.
