Am I doing it right or am I missing something?

Alright so first off I have little to no clue as to how to mod. However I tried exporting some of the data files pertaining to CAS and Sims specifically about Weight and Fitness. So in SimulationFullBuild0 and ClientFullBuild0. package have both have an instance where there are values for maxheavy and in a different instance 21 structs for dampening modifiers for heavy, fit, lean, and bony.

So taking those data files can I edit it via the Sims4Data tool and put it back in the package file? I tried doing it that way but there was no noticeable effects in game.

I don't know specifically about the files for CaS, but a lot of the DATA files also have XML tuning, this combined tuning which has been described. So to make some DATA tuning actually work, the complementary XML tuning would be required. So this may be the reason you don't see anything happening.
