    Can we get a fix on MMAO suggesting things we already own?

    Three of my five offers tonight included "Hidden Springs," which I already own and is registered to my account. Two of my five offers being Hidden Springs on a daily basis is quite common and is keeping me from buying offers I might actually purchase.

    I know this issue exists for a few other things as well but I don't have a list.

    Is this something that can be fixed?

      Im the same, but mines with Lucky Palms and the Buccaneer's Bounty set. At least one of them show up in every offer. Sometimes they both do :/

      I still get offered Sunlit Tides regularly... For some reason, I really don't want to purchase it AGAIN! :roll:

      How do! I believe SimGuruRusskii is looking into it. When I mentioned MMAO offing me Hidden Springs (which I own) she said if it happens again to take a screenshot to show her. This will help her look into it.

      So if you get offered something you already own, take a screenshot. Maybe we could compile them here? Hopefully that will speed along a fix.

      I've been occasionally posting screenshots of offers I get, INCLUDING getting offers for worlds I already own. :?

      I'll take screenshots next time, but I get offered these:

      The Greenhouse, which I own through the compilation.
      Sunlit Tides Gold, although I own standard plus the venue
      Lucky Palms Gold, although I own standard plus the venue
      And stuff from the Free JCP set, I get offered something from this set almost daily.

      Recently, I keep getting offered Sunlit Tides and the Shower from it, even though I own the gold version (with venue), which includes both.


      The only one it should be offering me is the Olympian Physique venue but it rarely does, or when it does, it is with something I already have or way too low of a discount.

      I can understand the Gold versus standard being given as they are not the same codes. Also if you get Hidden Springs through a disc or the "Two-for" disc, those are different codes than the if you download it. The items are the same, but the codes to redeem are different.

      I have the problem of always getting Lucky Palms Gold because I bought the casino separately. My Hidden Springs came with the "Two For" disc so that is also a different code to redeem so that I can see too. I don't like it but I can understand it.

      I found that when I get compilations I have to go through every item, sometimes and check to make sure they are downloaded both through the compilation and through the individual item. Which is a pain, which makes me also think at some point items in compilations had different redeem codes as well.

      Awww give the Store team a break!
      MAYBE they can use that new Venue coming up...
      to fashion themselves some GLASS spectacles...
      to better "look into it".

      One of the ways you can avoid that happening, if you haven't already tried, is to go to the Store page which offers the small set. Click on it, to "officially own it". I always got another option after that, to "download" and of course I didn't, because it's already in a bigger compilation which I have installed.

      Hope that helps. oh and it works for worlds too, if you bought the gold and MMAA keeps offering you standard.

      That should work, if the button is green. Mine are now all blue.

      I got offered Hidden Springs AGAIN even though I already own it. Ugh! How is offering things we already own going to encourage us to buy stuff from the store?!

      I know this might have something to do with the store not recognizing I own part of a "set", but I just remembered, I've been offered the Gothic Library a few times. I already have the spell book, so I really don't see any point in paying for the venue... Yes, it might have a few nice items with it, but hardy worth it with the small discount, when I already own the most expensive part (the PC item).

      Unfortunately, my only options are "Buy now!" and "Redeem Code." I will have to look for the code to see if I can put it in again (I am pretty sure I bought it retail, but it's the only box I can't find ATM). I don't want to try "buy now" in case it actually charges me, but I will try it once I am under 2000SP. I was concerned that maybe I was mistaken and hadn't actually redeemed it, but it is on my profile page so I am stumped.

      I've given up on MMAO entirely. There were problems from the day it was released and despite going a live chat, posting on Ruskii's page, and posting on crin's thread the same issues keep cropping up. For me it was all the elder hair. Then it was the straw boater elder hair in particular. Then two other elder hair. Then Lucky Palms. Now, it's the premium content shower.

      It makes no sense to me how an item in the store can go from showing as owned for years and then suddenly it's not owned. Or how there are constantly duplicates popping up. When one item gets fixed something else pops up in its place. They are not good at keeping their website working properly. Everything that isn't a straight sale always ends up with some kind of mistake. The Sims 3 website (not even the Origin site) is the only online store I have ever seen which has pricing issues like this. I wish they would just cut the MMAO and goodie boxes and other gimicky tactics and hold a simpoint sale. Or lower the price of the store items. You know...something straightforward that they can handle.
