:!: I am yet to see this reported but was it planned to have our Sims locked in the bathroom if they are caught in a toilet stall at closing (9:00 P.M.) on a Festival Lot? I can see the bathrooms locked as far as no one else getting in after closing but it seems to me that the Sims already in the bathroom should be able to exit.
Fortunately, I could just teleport my Sims home but other players may not use that particular function.
I noticed an issue with trick or treating. I did get one visitor on Spooky Day but I also get people showing up in winter and summer as well. I noticed that this problem was listed on the first few pages of this thread but I wanted to add that I am also experiencing this issue. I do not have any mods and I do have some CC. My game is up to date with all patches.
Yes I have seen this bug reported on other sims community sites when looking for an answer to my possible problems. I don't believe that bug is mod related as you are not the only mod free player that has that issue. Id say wait for a patch and hope they read this forum to fix the problem.
So it's extremely obvious that EA no longer cares about this and I suppose we're on our own to fix these glitches. So does anyone know what the heck happened to the awards for after school activities? The kids get the opportunity, they accept but there's no option to go to the school for it...so no scout ceremony or ballet recital.
I've given up on EA of ever caring anymore as this game has been out for two months and issues were not corrected in the last EP. I don't care if EA bans me for saying this or not....I'm getting fed up with the glitchs. Oh and I'm playing without mods or cc and even store content as obviously their own store content won't work with seasons.

The doll is mailed to them so the next adult sim that checks the mail will result in the doll being in your baby's inventory unless you have your baby in the crib when you check the mail then the baby will be in the crib provided you have no teddy bear in there.
Can you send the Invisible Doll glitch my way? I'm tired of every kid getting them. I don't mind the occasional IF but not every single kid in the world......yes Error Trap has caught over 100 IFs running around my worlds and in unplayable homes. I'm getting to hate those things.
I am very demoralized because of the bug of tanning, my sim can spend whole days in the sun without any tanning or sunburn. I tried the sea, by the pool, making them sleep on deck or on the air mattress, causing them to interact or swim at the beach in a bathing suit, every activity throughout the day, each individual with different skin tones but always in the clearest possible way. I completely reinstalled the game and expansions 10 days ago, I have not installed any cc and no mod, I also contacted customer support to make me register my copy of Season on the official website (I did not normally recorded) I recorded every EP and SP also on Origin. The game has just begun I have not downloaded anything from the Exchange and I did not copy anything from the old game, I tried to play with family units of the scenario (ie pre-existing). My pc is very well maintained do daily updates of windows with windows update (both important updates and optional), every day I scan the pc with the virus every day I clean the disc and gate history. The PC is working correctly, also the game but not the tan. Also happened to me once (immediately after the release of Season) that one my sim has tanned (arrived 1 coat) but never repeated, with dozens and dozens of times. I am convinced that Monte Vista, the Open Air Market or Serra after being adjusted have destroyed this possibility. I reported it several times on the Italian site (I'm not the only one) but not received any response. No one cares. I spent my money to buy the game + 7 Expansions + 2 Stuff + 3 scenarios + Store items of gifts received (other scenarios, set, get-togethers, etc.) a lot of money that ended up in the pockets of EA, what was the result? A game buggy and no one worthy to even answer let alone to do something. I'm really disappointed and embittered the same thing that is repeated regularly at the exit of each new expansion. In addition to this I also have many difficulties to contend with water balloons or snowballs, I give the command in the space provided in festival-land, but I messages appear: the ground is not smooth appastanza, the ground is not big enough, or I do not see anything but the fight is not done, when by mistake i can make them start a fight with water balloons or snowballs this has no winner goes on until one of the sim goes. Prefer not to stand still writing otherwise never finish the bugs are so many, and not just Season. However, I am deeply offended the behavior of EA which deals only (when it occupies) of USA and no other country, my euro took them without any problems but then I have to look for help on the forum of another country, written in a 'other language.
Since seasons my game has been very laggy also my collections are not showing even if I delete the caches thumbnails. I have also had issues with not being able to save or the constant eroor messages, what the hell is going on.
I'm having problems if I try to save after making a house on lot it freezes. My Sim as a werewolf changed completely how he look going to the default werewolf when it was a full moon and he was at work. When my sims aged to adult they stopped going to work and would refuse to go no matter what I did. The game now will not load my save and it freezes for sometime before loading. My Sims also randomly change the clothes to different clothes and are usually not even an outfit I made. I got the seasons ep from origin and I've updated it to 1.4.7.
Weird thing happened today, not sure if this is a glitch, my sim went to the mail box paid his bills, however when he went to collect his mail he opened the box next he jumped back to were he was standing and the mail is still in the box, tried again same thing.
so after i installed seasons i kept getting the error code 12 havent been able to play my game in months.

The only way I could get rid of periodic Error code 12 problems was to enable access to more than 2 GB of memory (I have 4 Gb installed). I had to update to all the latest patches (versions 1.19.44/2.14.4/3.10.4/4.7.4/5.5.4/6.2.4) After this, I have not had any more Error Code 12 problems.
For your system, it depends on your operating system (XP, Vista, or Windows 7 and whether it is 32 bit or 64 bit. I recommend you have at least 4 GB of memory. For 64 bit Vista or Windows 7, the latest versions of Sims 3 can use more than 2Gb of memory already. For 32 Bit you have to enable access to more than 2 Gb memory on startup.
Here's what I did. My system is 32 bit Vista which as installed only accesses 2 Gb of memory. I had to install at least 4 Gb of memory and do the following to allow a 32 bit operating system to address more memory (from Mod The Sims/Sims Wiki page):

If you have a 32-bit version of Windows, and additional step is required in order for The Sims 3 to use more than 2 GiB of virtual memory. You must have at least 3 GiB of RAM installed in your system before taking these steps.

I think it is very poor EA game design that you have to make changes like this in order to prevent this problem.
Save the changes and close Notepad.
Close all open dialogs and restart your computer.

Hi guys I wonder if anyone could help me? I recently got Seasons and now when I play on my Los Aniegos world I experience a massive lag. Previously Los Aniegos was fine on my computer. I have reduced my graphics quality to medium and taken off smooth edges, deleted temp files and downloaded Razer Game Booster and none of this has helped. Does anyone have any advice of what I could do?

The Japanese Grill doesn't work. The action to serve whatever meal goes into the queue but then 2 sim minutes later it drops off their queue. Nothing is blocking their way because the sim can go over and do tricks just not cook on the grill.
I'm having problems if I try to save after making a house on lot it freezes.
I had this problem. I purchased Seasons yesterday, installed, updated and updated mods and had no problems (thank goodness! *touchwood*) and was even able to enter/exit buy/build mode and do some updating to my Sims house with no issues.
However, the when I loaded up the game in the evening I did a few more changes in buy/build as soon as it loaded but after I'd receicved the NRaas notifications (SP, Relativity etc) and it crashed. I tried restarting the game straight away but it crashed on loading screen.
I had to restart my PC in order to play the game again, but as yet haven't braved going back into buy/build mode!
My house is built on top of a pond and now, every time my sim is inside, she ice skates and it is very troublesome cause she restarts or does not move. She can't go up the stairs and she won't do what I ask cause she's too busy trying to 'move over' on her ice skates. I like my house built on a pond. I wish there is someway to disable ice skating or just prevent the water from turning into ice during cold weather.. Ive trued restarting her but she will continue to ice skate after a while. Please suggest a solution.

EXACTLY!!!!! WHAT is this??? a game glitch??? I am soooo confused!!! I don't have seasons....I only have base game, supernatural and pets! GRRRRR so is it a patch for seasons that messed this up? ugh!!
EA PLEASE HELP I used the live chat option and it left my pc so messed up that I had to do system restore. I know it isn't my pc because it is a nice DellXPS that I bought maybe a year and a half ago brand new. Also as of this morning I updated all my drivers.
I am so upset, I don't have a lot of money and I bought these two expansions because I have been going through a rough time lately I am so disappointed in this glitch.

I have spent last two days working on this problem.
1) Whenever I click "get mail" my game freezes. I downloaded a mod that lets me look at the mailbox inventory and it's freezing because the mailman is delivering Omni Plants to my mailbox every day? When I delete the omni plants they can get the mail safely, but I have to use this debugging mod every single time before getting the mail.
2) Alien sims can't use the Motive Mobile. If they do, it messes up some of their settings and they start getting "tired" moodlets as if they suddenly have a hidden energy bar ticking down in the background. It's totally separate from their Brain Power need (brain power can be at 100% and they'll be whining about how tired they are). Using the "resetsim" cheat fixes the problem.
Hey there i am not sure your reading this still but i want to report that there is a singer glitch since seasons. If you hire a singer to sing at your party she or he will reset and not be able to sing. This only happens to singers the other entertainers are fine.
I have tested this with five different sims 3 folders in twelve different brand new worlds, on a new computer with no mods. There are other people who have reported this and i think its one of those glitches that goes unnoticed because its miner. But it is a glitch none the less.
Hi guys I wonder if anyone could help me? I recently got Seasons and now when I play on my Los Aniegos world I experience a massive lag. Previously Los Aniegos was fine on my computer. I have reduced my graphics quality to medium and taken off smooth edges, deleted temp files and downloaded Razer Game Booster and none of this has helped. Does anyone have any advice of what I could do?
I have this world too and brand new comp i got at christmas and LA is lag city. Its cause the world itself needs to be updated for seasons. Which is kind of too bad cause it by far the best world out there for showtime and nightlife. I have tried to get it to work, i am thinking you might want to ask on the build a world forum to see if the creator is making a seasons version or if you can use build a world to update the world yourself. Those will be the people to ask for sure.

Since recent updates/seasons, This option only seems to tend one single plant vs Tending the entire garden.
:!: I am yet to see this reported but was it planned to have our Sims locked in the bathroom if they are caught in a toilet stall at closing (9:00 P.M.) on a Festival Lot? I can see the bathrooms locked as far as no one else getting in after closing but it seems to me that the Sims already in the bathroom should be able to exit.
Fortunately, I could just teleport my Sims home but other players may not use that particular function.

I've given up on EA of ever caring anymore as this game has been out for two months and issues were not corrected in the last EP. I don't care if EA bans me for saying this or not....I'm getting fed up with the glitchs. Oh and I'm playing without mods or cc and even store content as obviously their own store content won't work with seasons.
I patch and clear the cache regularly. I use no mods related to the doll. I use Awesome Mod, and a few non-core (all food/books/recipes buyable, increased alien chances, umbrella fix). Most I've been using since WA and none of the editions have caused problems before. All eps installed and 95% of custom content is from the store.

The doll is mailed to them so the next adult sim that checks the mail will result in the doll being in your baby's inventory unless you have your baby in the crib when you check the mail then the baby will be in the crib provided you have no teddy bear in there.
so after i installed seasons i kept getting the error code 12 havent been able to play my game in months.

The only way I could get rid of periodic Error code 12 problems was to enable access to more than 2 GB of memory (I have 4 Gb installed). I had to update to all the latest patches (versions 1.19.44/2.14.4/3.10.4/4.7.4/5.5.4/6.2.4) After this, I have not had any more Error Code 12 problems.
For your system, it depends on your operating system (XP, Vista, or Windows 7 and whether it is 32 bit or 64 bit. I recommend you have at least 4 GB of memory. For 64 bit Vista or Windows 7, the latest versions of Sims 3 can use more than 2Gb of memory already. For 32 Bit you have to enable access to more than 2 Gb memory on startup.
Here's what I did. My system is 32 bit Vista which as installed only accesses 2 Gb of memory. I had to install at least 4 Gb of memory and do the following to allow a 32 bit operating system to address more memory (from Mod The Sims/Sims Wiki page):
1) 32-bit Operating Systems
If you have a 32-bit version of Windows, and additional step is required in order for The Sims 3 to use more than 2 GiB of virtual memory. You must have at least 3 GiB of RAM installed in your system before taking these steps.
For Windows Vista, Windows 7, Server 2008
Open the Command Prompt with administrative rights.
Open Start.
Open Programs.
Open Acessories.
Right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator.
Type the following and hit enter:

I think it is very poor EA game design that you have to make changes like this in order to prevent this problem.
Save the changes and close Notepad.
Close all open dialogs and restart your computer.

I had this problem. I purchased Seasons yesterday, installed, updated and updated mods and had no problems (thank goodness! *touchwood*) and was even able to enter/exit buy/build mode and do some updating to my Sims house with no issues.
However, the when I loaded up the game in the evening I did a few more changes in buy/build as soon as it loaded but after I'd receicved the NRaas notifications (SP, Relativity etc) and it crashed. I tried restarting the game straight away but it crashed on loading screen.
I had to restart my PC in order to play the game again, but as yet haven't braved going back into buy/build mode!

I am so upset, I don't have a lot of money and I bought these two expansions because I have been going through a rough time lately
Please make a patch that addresses this soon, real soon. Like this week or next, thank you. I hope this will be read by an EA staff and that someone please sends a response I posted on EA HQ about this too and have had no one even reply yet.
I have spent last two days working on this problem.
2) Alien sims can't use the Motive Mobile. If they do, it messes up some of their settings and they start getting "tired" moodlets as if they suddenly have a hidden energy bar ticking down in the background. It's totally separate from their Brain Power need (brain power can be at 100% and they'll be whining about how tired they are). Using the "resetsim" cheat fixes the problem.
I have tested this with five different sims 3 folders in twelve different brand new worlds, on a new computer with no mods. There are other people who have reported this and i think its one of those glitches that goes unnoticed because its miner. But it is a glitch none the less.

I have this world too and brand new comp i got at christmas and LA is lag city. Its cause the world itself needs to be updated for seasons. Which is kind of too bad cause it by far the best world out there for showtime and nightlife. I have tried to get it to work, i am thinking you might want to ask on the build a world forum to see if the creator is making a seasons version or if you can use build a world to update the world yourself. Those will be the people to ask for sure.
