Do you have to uninstall The Sims 3 manually?

Hi guys,

My Sims 3 game stopped working a while back so I recently got a good laptop to play it on.

Now I believe I have to uninstall the game on my old computer before installing it on the new one, but my question is do I have to uninstall it manually or is there an easier way? I'm a little worried that I'll muck up the registry if I do it manually...

Thanks for any help and sorry if this question has already been asked!!

    Anybody? Please? :(

I really don't want to poke around in the registry...

Can't see any reason you would have to uninstall from your old computer unless you really want to since it is not working for you anymore.

If you do manually uninstall it google for Ccleaner(a free registry cleaner). Download it and let it clean the registry. It also can make a backup for just in case purposes.

You don't have to uninstall if from your old pc. Although if your using any digital copies, you should open the launcher, click the updates tab, and click on deauthorize this computer.

Yes, thank you! I figured it out :D

I've just left it on the old computer, uninstalling it looks a bit dodgy to me with my lack of skills!!

Now I've just got to deal with the crashing I can never seem to avoid :x

    Thank you for the replies!!!
