Any Ideas or Tips for speeding up long load time in sims 4?

One of the worst things about playing sims 4 is the long waits while loading. I've did a bit of research on how to speed up loading times on xbox one and sims 4, as well as asking what causes it to get slower in the first place. Does anyone have any ideas on how to speed up the load times?? I understand a bit about clearing Cache, and also the power cycle. And then there's the reinstall your game and delete all saves start fresh. Can anyone offer any insight into why the game load times get longer and what can be done about it?? I have read that lots of things in your house, like decorations for example as well as having your inventories loaded with stuff makes the load times longer but im not sure about much else.

I tend to do a game repair. If that fails to fix what is ailing my game, I'll do a Game Folder Refresh, which on a console is probably the uninstall/reinstall of which you speak. I play on a PC, so I'm uncertain any of this will help you. Two different animals, as it were.

There's not much you can do on console to optimize the game. It's technically already optimized to be able to play on Console. Additional packs will add to load times.

    - Play in offline mode (if you can)
    - Play on a small lot with just the basics to reduce the amount of items.
    - Select minimum sim count via game settings. This will allow culling of unplayed households keeping the population small.
    - Clean out personal and family inventory.

edit to add: I don't think you can lower graphic settings on console but you can try lowering resolution at least.

The PS4/Xbox One consoles struggle with load times and lag. The same version of the game runs infinitely better on PS5 and I assume the new Xbox.

It’s just hardware limitations and im not sure there’s much you can do besides like Jen said, give the game less to load and optimize the menus as much as you can. I’m not sure if the overall storage used on the console will have an affect but I would think it would only be minimal if it does.

@SimplyJen Hey, Recently I had some major framerate drops, and it was on a small 1-bedroom starter house with only 2 sims on the screen. I don't know what caused it a simple power cycle, clear cache might have fixed it. But I'm curious because recently I've been downloading medium to large houses from the gallery and adding them to my worlds. I wonder if that could be the cause of the framerate drops.... the framerate drops only happened a couple times so it's really not a big deal right now.
