And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is why my builds are on the huge side … LOL I always transcribe a build from graph paper equating one square to a square in the game. :open_mouth: Hey, I wanted the Wright Way House larger, and found out after going back into Sims3 (I had a build from another player who recreated that house), that I didn't need to enlarge it. There's a big difference to how it translates in Sims4. Also, I noted in Sims2, there was no grid. So I had to eyeball where fixes to the recreation came in. There was just something 'off' about the livingroom/exterior wall. But, I'm satisfied with the Sims4 version, (she says as she's constantly making little tweaks as she plays … ) :p

I don't. This year is going by too fast. It actually did get shortened in 2011 because of the earthquakes.

I don't know how much more than that it has shortened with the recent earthquakes.

Well, according to the article a mere 1.8 microseconds. That's not a lot. In fact, were they not studying it, I doubt the rest of us would even notice a change. As for how fast the year is flying by, my summer was interminable. September left my head spinning and now we are almost halfway through October. I love the Fall and Winter, so I do wish for it to slow. Problem is, the busier we are the faster the days/weeks/months go by. Yet, when waiting for something specific, time seems to slow to a crawl. It's all a matter of perception.

hmmm I've been Simming since the Sims 1
I've looked at houses and built them in my game, I've built my entire neighborhood ;)
I'd love if ppl would have the little cloud over their head so I knew what they were thinking ;)
I plan though out the day what I'm going to do with my Sim family when I get home and get settled in to play :)
So many times I wish I could just workout for the whole day on the treadmill I could be fit again!!! Just like my Sim B)
And now with Sim 4 just take a drink of insta-thin or insta-large :) That would be SO awesome :D
Ohh and when you hum the Sims theme songs while you grocery shop, hahaha lol

... you are late for a RL meeting because you had checked the in game clock rather than your RL clock...

I set my phone alarm so when it goes off I know to save my game and shut down ;):)

I began this Odyssey with Sims2 and recall imaging my skill bar filling above my head as I scoured my toilet! LOL

    @katrinasforest ‘same’

When you wake up in the night and say out loud what needs to be fixed for the story to continue.

Me “I think my money trees are probably too crowded so they won’t grow”

Was sleeping partner: “What money trees?”

Me: “My SIM has money trees in her greenhouse, either the roof is too low or other plants are crowding them, it doesn’t take more that a week for them to grow.”

Was sleeping partner: “You can fix that tomorrow, now sleep”

I think sims dancing is how I taught myself how to dance pretty much, other than the 3 years of ballet and 1 year of jazz dance I took when I was a kid.

Also, ...when you pretend you are a sim with an action que to get things done and/or walk like the sims from the sims 1 (robotic-like). haha. I definitely did that more than I few times growing up, since I've been playing since Sims 1. :p

Yeah, it's amazing what Sims can keep in their back pockets. LOL

when I realize my Sims start to have again more interesting lifes than I do xD whenever it happens I usually drop the game for some time and try to fill my days with diffrent activities, or try to do something new I never tried before :D
Also once I had a situation in RL I did something stupid and then for a second I thought that I will not save it :D

I've done that. I found myself playing the sims 2 too long one day and everything I did felt very deliberate and robotic like a sim. Only lasted for about ten minutes but it was a really weird feeling. :D

I'm sure as long as this thread is that this has been said, but I caught myself doing it and was like.... omg, I've got a problem...

..when you look at houses and can see how many grid squares the sections/walls cover.

I was walking my dogs today and was like... there are 2 squares on the left side and only one on the right that's not even.

Not sure if this means I've been playing a long time or have too strong an attachment to my sims but...

You know you've played for a while when...you almost call a family member or friend by one of your sims' names. :grimace: I was seriously so embarrassed! I even caught myself before it fully slipped out but I was still like...:open_mouth::open_mouth::open_mouth:
