Hi friends! I'm still on that job hunt, so I haven't been playing much. Fortunately, if I get too sick of staring at my computer screen I can take the train to New York City to find something to do...but after a day of staring at a screen, the last thing I want to do is continue staring at a screen, even if it's to play my favorite game. You know what I mean? Ugh. Too much screen time, lately.
ANYWAY. Small update on Katy:
It's finally moving day for the Striker Family! Katy holds her newborn son and looks at her empty living room and thinks back on all the memories she has made here.
When she first arrived in Bridgeport she was a fresh-out-of-school college graduate. Shortly after arriving her ex-boyfriend, Derek, asked her to marry him. They lived together in this house for years before their relationship fizzled out, and Derek eventually moved away. She married Rafael immediately after in an attempt to prove to herself she was over Derek; this was something she initially regretted, but has since come to terms with. And later she had her first child with Rafael! All the while she continued to perform well in her career and accomplish her lifetime wish! All of this happened in this house, so Katy is understandably sad to be leaving.
She knows, however, that it's not the home that houses all the memories - she gets to take all those with her to the new town. And she has a good amount of furniture that she's built up over the years that gets to come with her as well, so it's not like she's really starting completely over. She sighs heavily and heads to the car with her son, and the young family begins the move (and their new life) to Hidden Springs, SimNation.
Here's a glimpse of the house Katy has spent so much time in. It's empty, except for the bathroom, because I like to take the furniture with me when I move my sims to new towns. If it's to a new house in the same town I don't care as much, but I like to bring something with if its a brand new town with no access to the old place anymore. Katy's home a starter in Bridgeport that I have edited and slightly expanded on multiple times over the "years."
And with that, I've come to the ending point, for now, on Katy's story! I have five families I like to play (the fifth family is more of a background family though, to be honest), and all their lives end up intertwined later on. For now, I'm all caught up on Katy's story and can start another family until their story is caught up as well!
I think I am going to play a young woman who actually begins her life in Hidden Springs next, named Jessica. Let's just say that, for sake of ease, that her story in Hidden Springs takes place before Katy arrives. So their stories have the same starting point in the timeline but are happening in different places, and eventually they meet in Hidden Springs when Katy arrives. I hope that makes sense.
Today, Rachel rocked on one of the rocking chairs outside her bedroom:

After that nap, she went back into her bedroom and got changed:
Drake and Iris were still sound asleep at this time:
Rachel got out her Holo-PC and checked the weather.
'Right, so it's going to rain all day. Just great' Rachel thought, irritated. She felt like she needed to get some fresh air, but she couldn't. She hated thunderstorms, and so did Drake and Iris. Rachel decided to have a quick bath:
7:00am, sim time, Drake and Iris wake up, with the latter being the first to get up:
The pair then made their beds:
Then Iris gave Drake his usual morning hug and kiss on the cheek:
Drake and Iris brushed their teeth:
Rachel also brushed her teeth:
Then she went up to her study, turned the stereo on and started work on Tales of the Forest: The Feast of Autumn. This was the 5th book in the series:
A few sim hours later, Rachel had finished typing. The rain, thunderstorm and hail were quite distracting, and she couldn't hear the stereo over the cacophony of weather based noise:
Drake and Iris were irritated about the weather as well. 'Ugh. It's rained for a few days now. Bring on winter' Drake said:
'I hear you, bro. I'm looking forward to being able to ice skate and make igloos' Iris agreed:
The pair then played in fairy form:
And then Iris tickled Drake in fairy form:
Lastly, Drake and Iris spent a few hours, playing with Ruby and Sapphire, their teddy bears:

Well dag, Chelsea apparently doesn't care that Darren cares about her safety. She is the mother of his children after all. I think it is time for Darren to put her back in that machine!

Within just a few days all the necessary paperwork is complete and the household moves into their new home. They had contacted the movers to deliver their things from storage, but the truck broke down and are still waiting for a replacement truck to arrive. A few trunks with their personal possession and some science equipment were stored in the unit. Adam and Marshall have their tents in the trunk of the car and of course Dedric and Wisteria have their fairy house. Everyone will be comfortable until they can purchase furniture.
Adam makes a fire in the enormous fire place and it soon lights up and warms the entire room. They sit on the floor staring into the flames and talking enthusiastically about their new lives here in Dragon Valley.
Alice starts talking about babies and names and the others join in. Alice wants Adam Jr if they have a boy. Adam nixes that and picks Angelique if it is a girl and Andrew if it is a boy. Alice is not so sure about those. Jennifer throws out Drogan and Vallay laughing at her take off on Dragon Valley. Marshall merely shakes his head and grins at her. Wisteria giggles at Jennifer and suggests F'lar and Lessa as she is an avid fan of the Pern Dragon books. Jennifer, who has read the books comes up with F'nor and Brekke, one of her favorite couples in the series. Dedric laughs and tells them it is a good thing they have plenty of time before the first baby arrives to think of names.
"Who wants to hear a ghost story?"
They all move around Dedric as he begins his ghost story (apparently only 4 sims can sit in the semi circle during ghost telling. Adam had to stand and stomp his feet for several minutes and then started listening .) Jennifer got a big spooked during the story telling.
Adam takes his turn at telling a ghost story. Marshall stands and enjoys watching Jennifer and Alice get spooked.
It is late when the ghost stories are finished. They all settle down for a nice sleep.
Adam and Alice rock the tent so hard it looks like it is going to land in the pond.
Adam is up first and fixes breakfast. They enjoy french toast together as they plan their days activities. (I'm going to have to redo the seating area as Adam wouldn't put out a meal for everyone even though I have the mod. I think the little wall confused him)
Everyone starts upgrading appliances except Wisteria who is not handy so she works on the garden. She finds a rake, shovel and fork and begins digging up weeds and clearing the debris. She turns the soil digging deep into the earth bringing up healthy dirt that will nourish her seeds. She uses her magic as well to bring more nutrients to the earth.
Alice uses her magic to upgrade the fireplace to fireproof. They want no mishaps burning the house down. Jennifer does not have much skill in handiness but she can make toilets and sinks self cleaning. No one likes to clean toilets!
Back in the greenhouse, Wisteria gets her official notice that she is indeed pregnant! She puts her hands over her womb and thanks the fates for sending Dedric and this baby to make her life complete. She hurriedly plants the seeds she had already prepared to go into the soil, waters them and rushes to the house to tell Dedric. Dedric had not even seen her get sick so he was not even contemplating her being pregnant. (she was only sick once!) Dedric grins happily and takes her in his arms and gives her a twirl and a kiss.
The others finally realized something is up and stop their tasks and join in the excitement and congratulations.
Adam is thinking they really need to get a move on getting some baby things ready for these babies. The girls decide that as soon as they finish the upgrades the entire family will go to the nearest furniture store and order furniture for the living room, bedrooms and baby stuff.
After dinner, Marshall lights a fire in the fireplace and they sit down to enjoy their brand new living room furniture that was delivered this evening. Marshall and Adam did not get to enjoy it very long as it was the night of the full moon and the moon sets early in Dragon Valley (I need to put the lighting mod back in because that changes sunset to later in the evening.) They transform into werewolves and go on the hunt.
Alice and Wisteria enjoy a nice chat while Jennifer works on her book and Dedric studies on his tablet.
Adam returns from his hunt starving and sits down and eats a snack. Marshall returned after Adam and was hungry as well, so he sat down to eat a snack. (What happened to my werewolves!! They are eating like civilized humans! )

By Friday night Courtney was excited about her birthday night out. Her friend Jasmine had come to stay with her and she had invited a few of the girls from college over to get ready before they got ready to go to met the guys in town.
The girls that she had invited where Shelly, Stacy, Hana, Tammy and Megan while the guys where Simon, Jamie, Ben, Brett and Dorley. She had been getting a couple of texts from Taz although she was still not impressed with him popping up out of nowhere to start talking to her again. Taz had previously been involved with Humara but he had since gone off her but as Humara had also been involved with some of the other guys on the course such as Simon and Nick there was suspicions about the situation.

I guess she didn't want to get pregnant again? She looks very unhappy as well as quite sick in that first picture! He sure is forgiving, she is very lucky to have him and his love.

I figure if Adam can somehow fit 3 strapping guys and 3 pregnant females in his two door mustang, he can tote their tents and fairy house around in it too. I picture that double decker bus from Harry Potter that was so much bigger on the inside than the outside and must be similar to what the inside of Adam's mustang looks like.
I was worried I broke my werewolves from all the traveling they've done, but, they had their interactions with each other on the wheel so not sure why they were eating normal. Maybe cause it is an cabinet island table and not a 'dining' table and the chairs are higher. That might be why...just thought about that when I was typing to you...I will test in game with a regular table.
@Silverofdreams30 Yes, better only be 3! I put chances of multiples back to the normal default. lol I didn't want to wipe it out entirely because I still like the element of surprise, but, no kids programming or music allowed. They don't have a tv or radio in that house yet.
An update on my Crumplebottom-Helgason legacy family:
From left to right; Leif, Agnes, their son Bernard, Leif´s daughter Kristin and Leif´s grandson Albin (son of Leif´s eldest daughter Karen and Arvid Oss), the triplets are Leif´s and Agnes´s; Brogan, Bradley and Braden.
Since then Kristin has become a young adult and finished her first term in University. Albin and Bernard are about to become teenagers.
Kristins best friend Jessica Ingberg failed at University and got married to Gunnar Hannes. I edited their house so that they can fit 10 children
Edit: I just remembered that Leif and Agnes has another son; Barney. He was a toddler at the time and didn´t make it into the picture for some reason.
Today was the big day, Rajita(originally Rajita Wong) got married for the 4th time. She and Johan Wrede had pretty rustic winter wedding at the beach.

Rajita made a cake for me, which wasn't as good as the cake I made for myself irl xD (you can see Rajita at the background)
Even tho I was the "birthday boy" I cleaned the mess
