I finally did it - I got "Outdoor Retreat" Gamepack, and "Get to Work" EP for 25% off at origin today, woo-hoo! Now I just need the time to Play!

I got the original sims maybe a month after it came out. It's been true love ever since! I don't play any other games, except all the sims games. I have tried and I seem to drop them after one or two tries. I'm not into shooters. I don't like it when the game Does stuff for me.

I see the color wheel mentioned a lot as a sims 5 suggestion. I have no problem with the color wheel IF 1) we can easily pre-save a color we use , so to match it up or re- use it ( my decorating skills are not great!) 2) There is no "glitch" or fail down the road where say, all of the sims custom eye color, or blouse color…

For the longest time now (even back to sims 3) it occurred to me, whomever is "playtesting" is really clueless to what long time players of sims actually want and care about. It's like they're on the outside looking in , though they're supposed to be on the inside looking out.

When I first learned of this pack I Really wanted it! I love the dystopian town idea and all things like that. But I've stuck with my resolve to buy (almost) everything half price. And after reading about Eco's glitches, AND seeing a pic of the horrible unfinished looking townies, I may decide to skip it.

It should've been a stuff pack because to be honest I want all the Stuff, including the neighborhoods, furniture, and clothes , but not the vampires! I could also do without 10 different vampire teeth options. I haven't gotten it yet.

I don't care if my sim children ever grow up. I want to play sims 1 and 2 style EASILY switching between all sims or families. I want the old photo album , and I don't care if there's an open world. I don't want the color wheel. And that's just for starters.

Thank you!! This worked when trying to figure out the simplest things in Sims 4 can take an hour and a half of googling. Some people want to play like previous sims games and create multiple sims to interact in the same town or "save". Not trying to necropost. But this was HELPFUL! Thank you.

@SataiDelennn Thanks! I think you're the first person who has ever said anything about it. She's a little sims 2 dog I created for my favorite sim. I'm not sure what kind-of dog she is but I think I was trying for a bulldog. IRL I have a "Chug" a Chihuahua / pug. He's super cute!

That's why we need Lawyers with a 20 year education, to come up with these rules and laws and I'm sure they're accompanied by a mind bending array of paperwork. They would know what is appropriate for a 6 year old but not a 7 year old, and more important they would actually give a bleep.

That's just how sims 2 is and always has been. To me it's weird how they did it in later games. Just look at it this way, you don't loose any time.
