It's happened twice to me. Both times the mayor went over and did the add a ribbon on my sims entries but then the whole thing just melted away. I have won once and had 2 second awards so it looks as if the above poster said a random fail. It's annoying I can't complete the Aspiration or the errand without a win.

I've been making candles for a while as its a sort of easy way to raise the fabrication skill, although a bit boring. I needed wax, from the soy plants so I planted a few and use the beans as fishing bait as well as food. The ability to put any lot any size anywhere (like in the Sims 2). A watertool. Swimming in all the seas and some rivers. Decent textures. World control would be lovely too.

I agree with OM. As a creator that designs objects with slots to avoid the useless MOO cheat, I am not willing to start pulling slots from my objects to please EA games. I have had the pack 3 days and have played constantly. The world is beautiful, I had my sim clean the island up quickly by working none stop and it was worth it. Its not working for me at all and my sim is just a human female. She was punished by having her money cut for not completing the task despite doing the task 3 times and sending in data. It's not a mod that is needed its a fix I think.

This is a enough of a reason for me NOT to install the update. I've learnt to see what happens before changing the game to something that annoys me even more and breaks the mods that make it playable. B)

Really easy, choose a plain white curtain as your base texture, cover it with the new pretty texture but use the 'muliply' option in your editing program. This should give you a pretty curtain texture with the folds showing through.

I'm with egwarhammer, I've been playing this game for 16 years and have paid for objects in the past but will never do so at TSR. There is so much great cc out there that is completely free and high quality. For myself I have learnt to make my own which is always handy when I want a particular object.
