I have been having problems with my game too, after updating my game with the new patch. The only difference from the others is that I use Windows 8.1. I don't think the OS is the problem, but the patch. I'll try to run the game in Windows 7 compatibility mode and see if that helps.
I have two more options for you: 1. Buy an iMac and install Windows 7 (or 8 but I think you'll go with 7) on it. Apple computers have a software named "bootcamp" and it lets you make partitions on your hard disk. Moreover, Mac computers are the best computers that run Windows and its applications in the world (as…
I am pretty knowledgable about computers. I hope I can help you with your question. Windows 8: The game will work fine on it. I also use Windows 8. Processor: The processor is nice. You won't have any problems with it. 6GB DDR3: OK. At least 8 GB would be better but 6 is still enough. Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660…
No because of two reasons: 1. Intel HD Graphics 4000 is good only for watching videos and playing simple games. If you really wanna run The Sims 3 on high configurations, you have to buy a 15" Macbook pro or an iMac. RAM, hard disk capacity and the processor are nice, but not the graphics. 2. The Sims 3 was never meant to…
Check the lot the type you built the schools on. If it is "No visitors allowed", then that that should OK. If it is "visitors allowed", then change it to "No visitors allowed". That may help.
I am sorry to say that there is no fix for this issue. I had this issue for months and then gave up playing the Sims 3 on Mac. I now play the game on bootcamp and the game has no issues at all. I recommend you to do that too, as the advisors in Answer HQ and the live chat don't have any idea about how the game works on…
I uninstalled everything. The only difference is, I installed them on a bootcamp partition. Let me give you a hint. If you have any unused Windows 7 computer at your home, download Windows 7 from microsoft's website and then use the code that is located under that computer. It works. I have an unused Vaio, and I used the…
I really wanna know about it too. I did update my OS X to 10.8.4 but deleted sims about 6 months ago after I installed it on my bootcamp partition. If I hear (hopefully) good news, I may consider deleting bootcamp partition.
1. Don't panic. 2. Log in to Origin (if you don't have Origin on your computer download it) 3. Redeem your game using the registration code. 4. The cover of the game will appear and when you click on it, you can download it. Good luck.
The "Mac OS X" itself is never good to play The Sims 3 because of all the 🐸🐸🐸🐸 going on for 7 months. EA is totally ignoring Mac players. My advice for you is to buy a PC and run the game on it. If you really really want a Mac, then buy a copy of Windows 7/8 and install it using Bootcamp Assistant.
I do. I am having a great experience. The only problems I have are due to UL EP. It is kind of problematic, but don't take that seriously. Overall performance is great.

You have to use the original discs or Origin. However, you will have a terrible gaming experience as VM's can't use the graphics card in your computer. I suggest you to use bootcamp.
You're right. I also have The Sims Medieval on my Mac and it runs perfectly. Unfortunately, it is not as good as The Sims 3. The problem IS about the game, not Cider.
There's nothing you can do. There is nothing with your computer either. It's all EA's fault. They shouldn't have chosen to use Cider. They gotta get Aspyr back. The reason why you are having problems is the game is actually built for PCs. Cider is a program that "tricks" the game, making it feel like it is working on a PC.…
Hi, :D Let me help you about this. 13" MacBook Pro doesn't have a dedicated graphics card, which handles the graphics performance as you can understand. Also; depending on the MacBook model, the RAM may be low for the game. To run the game perfectly, you will need a Mac with a good graphics card, which is NVIDIA GeForce GT…
I received that mail too. I took it very seriously and just answered all the questions without hesitating, and praying that they will ever read it. My answer to that was "🐸🐸🐸🐸!" I literally wrote that.
"Like the PC version, we are aiming to make the game as accessible as possible. Any user with Snow Leopard and a Core 2 processor will be able to enjoy SimCity for Mac." This means people who have (at least) Snow Leopard and a Core 2 processor will play the game. In this case, Lion and so Mountain Lion will be compatible…
