  • Chapter 0 Sunset Valley: Then & Now "It's been six years. At the beginning, it was fine. We lived, played and grew. Once in a while, everything would go dark and we'd all go back to where we were at the beginning, happy to start a new cycle full of new possibilities. <a…
  • Thanks :P I'm trying to, but for some reason it won't show up in My Studio. :\
  • Actually, winter and fall look good on all Store worlds except Sunlit Tides and Lucky Palms... Monte Vista and Dragon Valley look like they were made with Fall in mind, and winter looks like the best season in Hidden Springs and Aurora Skies...
  • It's fine if you like personalizing your world, but I can't stand it. I always feel like I need to play exactly the way it was mean to be (so with the exact same town set-up, all the townies, no cheats, etc). Plus, I don't have enough patience. Including the world would work like the Ambitions placeholders. In almost all…
  • Love it. Much more sim-like than TS3 was.
  • I will, admittedly, say that I think TS3 look fine. They all look the same, but they look fine. I always liked them better from TS2 (I couldn't stand the super long faces). However, I still think TS4 is a huge step forward from TS3.
  • I don't understand how people that call themselves "Sims fans" can keep bringing up these photos. Yes, they have a certain charm. No, I wouldn't mind playing a game with characters designed like that. But the truth of the matter is that those aren't sims. Like many people said before, Sims were always intended to be more…
  • Smelly Sunshine Sun rose on Cay to the City Island, and with it our survivors. Yasmina: Ugh. This is disgusting, I feel like I slept in a bed of sadness and regret. Well, you're the one that picked the bed, Yasmina. Soon, every survivor was up and ready to roll. Hilarity ensued when, although right next to the ocean, each…
  • Tropical Trouble Welcome to Isla Paradiso. "Are we here?" "Is that where we're staying?" No, that's the science facility. It's just a little further. Here you go. Welcome to Cay to the City Island, where you contestants will, hopefully, spend the next few weeks. "It's tiny." "Can't we live in a house? Or at least a few…
  • Well, they did say there were new ways to cook and mentionned a certain "Food Synthetiser", so that might mean new recipes as well. I don't see how a tea set fits into the theme of the expansion, though.
  • I am. But I feel like we got this object already... Time to move on now. Ask about the Sonic Screwdriver, fine, but enough about the Tardis, we already have one.
  • I don't see people of the future still having phonebooths. I mean, everyone already has a cellphone in the present, so why keep phonebooths in the future? We'll get hover cars, hoverboards, jetpacks, and everything. If we need another kind of transportation/teleportation device, I'd love it to be some kind of underground…
  • Well, they did say in the LB that you could ask to live with a relative if you didn't want to stay in the "crowded base camp", so that makes me think it's going to be like a World Adventures destination. They suggested we could buy houses in the future, but they might only work like the travel houses from WA. On the other…
  • I've been searching for a world like this too :) So if someone knows one, that'd be great!
  • While I do understand you can be frustrated, you also have to understand that they have had many many pre-orders. Not just yours. An error can happen, and it's not "EA's fault" or "Origin's fault". I have pre-ordered every single expansion back and every single stuff back but one, and never have I ever had anything bad…
  • The only mods I have are ErrorTrap and Overwatch. They are both updated, and make the game much much smoother. ErrorTrap finds errors, it does nothing else. It tells me whenever a sim has a routing issue, so I doubt deleting it would make things any better.
  • I don't really have a favorite either. There's something that I love and something that I despise in every expansion pack. If I really had to pick one, though, I'd probably go with Generations too. There's so much behind-the-scenes improvement to the game, although the actual content looks kind of lacking.
  • The problem with these three expansions, is that you'll have a hard time playing them out of their main towns. You'll never have space to cram all the clubs, bars and lounges outside of Bridgeport. Showtime also has tons of Starlight Shores-specific lots. And you can't use the Diving skill outside of Isla Paradiso. Those…
  • I know, but like I said, I struggle to play in a world that isn't an EA world...
  • That's what I've been doing. The problem, though, is that I'm way too impatient to modify the town, so I end up just putting lots wherever they fit, so my town always looks so 🐸🐸🐸🐸 that I end up not wanting to play it. I had a different kind of expanded Sunset Valley, but I found myself bored. I felt like I was still…
  • Exactly, but like @Kilasi7 pointed out, not all of us have the time or patience to do that :(
  • Please, no CAW D: ! It's ridiculous to have to close the game and work for hours on end on a different program to make a world. CAW should be directly incorporated in the game, like in TS2. If they could just import the Simcity Terraforming option and call that Create-a-World, that'd be great.
  • I've been in love with Lucky Palms ever since I got it. It's absolutely beautiful and there's a lot of room. Sunlit Tides is great also, but it's really really tiny, so you're likely to miss on the full experience (don't even think about adding a club or the acting rabbithole in there). If you really only want a nice town,…
  • This is likely going to be in TS4. Actually, I think it will borrow a lot of elements from SimCity. Just think about it: it's the same team that makes both games, the logos are somewhat similar, and the images we've seen yet have the same kind of visual stylization. As for this topic in particular, it would be nice, but I…
  • Sure, it would be fun as an optional mode. And only as an optional mode. If the game was purely in 1st or 3rd person view, it would be the only Sims game I wouldn't buy. Ever. I like to play big families and control all of them at the same time. I normally zoom out enough to see all the family that is on the lot (or most…
  • I do have a Mac, and, sadly, I am well aware it will likely never work smoothly on my Mac partition :( . I've already switched to Bootcamp but, for some reason, the game keeps crashing to the desktop after about 30 minutes of playing. I've been told this likely has to do with the game running out of memory. Upgrading the…
  • We have a few leaked pictures, but they likely won't represent the actual content/look of the game.
  • At the very least, I'd love a system like the one in The Sims 2 for console. You didn't have to grow/find any ingredient, but you had an option when you clicked on the fridge to choose four different ingredients from an extensive list, and you'd get different meals based on what ingredients you picked. For example, if you…
  • It's funny because I, for one, think these new faces are definitely a step forward in design and stylization. If Sims were any more realistic than they currently are, most people would have a hard time playing the game. When TS3 was announced, the main backlash was that Sims looked more like creepy dolls, although their…
  • That's a great idea. I want to control my sims while they are eating at the restaurant, but I have no need to control them while they prepare food for the customers if they are in the culinary track.
