  • I wouldn't mind preteens being added. I would want them mostly for the height difference.
  • @drake_mccarty Yeah, I don't understand why they couldn't animate sims using an elevator or design a lobby for apartments. Certain features like those aren't design choices made to optimize the game, they were simply chosen because they were cheaper and required less work and time.
  • @Cinebar To be fair, The Sims Team seems to be more willing to add new objects and building tools to the game rather than core gameplay improvements. Probably because it's easier and takes less time. But you do have a point. It's not like we've gotten massive building overhauls; we get small increments of content that span…
  • I thought the idiom went "if wishes were horses, then beggars would ride". And I'm not just wishing for things, I'm posting on the forums to share my feedback. I also stopped buying packs in an effort to give EA a financial incentive to change the way how they manage this game and future installments. It's not much but…
  • So true! I actually made a joke about that in a previous thread I made. A lot of devs and community managers love to focus on the bad apples and act like gamers are just generally hostile and ungrateful so they can discredit any real criticism.
  • Unless it's with Will Wright, I don't want to see anymore collaborations for a long time.
  • No, not unless The Sims IP is given to another publisher.
  • The Sims should not be fully open world nor can it handle it, even with today's tech
  • AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FINALLY
  • @estella_dee I apologize for the late reply. I gave up on EA forums for a bit but I'm coming back this year strong, lol I don't literally mean that the players need to take part in early developments of packs; that luxury is usually only granted to indie games. What I mean is that The Sims Team (TST) should release a…
  • ^^^ This is a really hard pill for most players to swallow. I know it sucks to not meet the minimum requirements to run a game you love, but constantly catering to people with low end machines is holding this game back. This is one of the reasons why the builds in TS4 are so ugly and empty and why the object meshes are…
  • When I buy a game with $60 price tag I expect to get my money's worth. The base game does not have enough content or functionality to warrant a $60 price tag, especially if we are talking about The Sims 4 at launch (there weren't even colored maps!). $60 isn't a low price at all. Many videos games have a starting price of…
  • Did y'all just forget that people still pay money for the Base Game? You wouldn't be getting anything for free since you would still have to buy the game. A company has a right to make money but why should I, as a consumer, just blindly accept monetization practices I don't agree with? I have a right to voice my grievances…
  • It could change if more people were willing to put their foot down and say, "I'm not paying ten dollars for washing machines". I've owned TS4 since 2016 and I've only bought 3 packs, all while on sale. However, additional packs I own were given to me as gifts from friends. Sometimes it feels useless to "soft-boycott" Sims…
  • People have been wanting more skin tone options for years! The only reason Game Changers recently addressed this was because their fans told them to. And the reason why I brought up game changers is because many of them find bugs and problems with packs before release, but the Sims Team won't address them until…
  • @Nushnushganay I guess I didn't clarify that point well. Sorry about that! Despite being only available for adults, the Juice Kegs in the Sims 4 resemble actual punch and juices, while the kegs and drinks in TS3 university looked liked it could be beer. They both feature fruit on the barrels but TS4 design is less…
  • Lol I can't even say cr////appy? C'mon EA!
  • @bellagoth_ Yes, I've noticed this, too. Usually, the ones to give EA the benefit of the doubt every time they release a crappy pack or update are not much older than 14. And I also think that it wouldn't be in EA's best interest to market a future online Sims game towards kids. The team doesn't havea good track record…
  • @bellagoth_ When I saw that "Baby Ariel" was added to the game I knew that I was probably getting to old for this game, lol. The "childishness" of this game also explains why the Sims 4 seems so easy compared to other games. Keeping your sim happy is not really a problem at all while in previous games I was constantly…
  • I think they only come automatically if you have a fire alarm. If they do come when you don't want them to, you can use testingcheats to delete them off your lot. That's what I used to do in TS3
  • Omg I was going to make post tomorrow suggesting this! I think they should implement this along with cops if they ever add them in.
  • @DesertSimmer1971 In your original comment, you said the Repoman from DU was being shipped with the new pack meaning that simmers would be paying for a feature, twice. This isn't correct because the Repoman is NOT getting added to the game via Eco Living; it's going to be patched into the base game in a future update. The…
  • @DesertSimmer1971 No, it's being patched into the base game. The base games is getting a LOT of good updates, such as an overhaul to the inventory system. I'm more excited for the patch than the EP!
  • @kwanzaabot But no one was thanking the "money men". I assume the person you were responding to was expressing gratitude towards the people who actually work on the game rather than the higher-ups that make the greedy decisions. I have seen a lot of people have an immediate negative reaction whenever someone expresses any…
  • Unless someone specifically says, "Thank you for waiting 6 years to give us basic NPCs, please do it again!" I'm sure we'll be good. Edit: Also, EA isn't a monolith; not everyone who works for EA is "evil" as some would say. Maxis may be dead, but there are still people working on The Sims Franchise that still care about…
  • Usually, when you reinstall your game, Origin gives you the product code so you can copy and paste it when prompted. If you're still unsure about that, you can always contact EA support and they'll give you a new one. I recommend getting a code from support first.

  • I don't think I ever played a full sim year in any of my saves. I'm always deleting my mods and save folder every 3 months or so. Most of my gameplay consists of CAS and B&B mode. I'd happily sacrifice old saves if that meant bigger and better worlds.
  • I've never encountered this bug in my game before so I don't know if I can be of much help but I can still try! It's possible that you may have accidentally duplicated a package file (I've done this before); thoroughly check your mods folder if you haven't already. I also suggest uninstalling and reinstalling your game.

  • I have a big soft spot for city worlds. I'm not great at building houses but I LOVE decorating my sims' homes so apartments are the perfect lots for a player like me.
  • Me, too! I really like Strangerville and it's the perfect "trash world" imo. Hopefully someone will be able to release a mod to bypass this restriction
