The one you were looking at would run it, but the Touch Bar one ($2399+) will run it much better and for much longer. As @BluebellFlora stated, "it has dedicated AMD graphics which is always preferable to integrated Intel (which the 13" has)". :)
@Tremayne4260 @katiee822 If it's new, then it should be macOS Sierra (10.12) :) The game should run fine (on high settings, I'm guessing, as the Iris Pro is a fairly powerful integrated graphics chip), but the game might slow down as you add more content (like expansion packs, game packs and stuff packs). Could you also…
BootCamp is an application that is installed on all Macs by default, and allows the user to install Windows (with a legal copy) on their Mac. It is made by Apple! No need to feel old and dumb... Just ask, someone will answer your questions! :)
Thank you for your help @Nearia35. I was just trying to see what options there are (just messing around) as it runs the Sims at 1280x720 and 1336x768 perfectly. Was just curious whether it would make a difference if I lowered the resolution while I was playing in full screen. :) I decided to stay with the factory…
For the launch problem, could it be because you launch the game before opening Origin? That usually happens to me most of the time, when I open The Sims 4, and not Origin. It usually works fine after that. For the black screen issue, I'll notify @BluebellFlora, as she should be able to help you out, as I have no clue why…
I agree with @Nearia35. But to get rid of the blue "fog" you need to go to Options » Graphics Options » View Distance - set it to high. This should not have an impact on your game. What Mac do you have? This would help us determine what settings you should play with! :)
Theoretically it should (low or even medium settings), but because of the graphics (HD 6000) it will struggle to cope after some time (if you add any DLCs [like Expansion Packs, Game Packs and Stuff Packs]). Also, if and when you add custom content (cc), it could also start struggling. It should be fine for the most parts,…
- Cars, cars, cars! - U Shaped and L Shaped Staircases - Spiral Staircases - More Entrance Doors - BEDS AND SIDE TABLES THAT MATCH - More sofas - More Appliances (fridges and stoves in particular) - LAUNDRY - WASHING MACHINES AND DRYERS - Beach themed World - More "country like" worlds - More suburban neighborhoods - Old…
I didn't think the problem would've been with the trackpad. :P It sounds great that it runs good on High settings! :) Would it be a possibility for you to use a mouse until the issue is fixed?
Congrats on your new MacBook Pro! I really want to replace my MacBook Air! On Macs (on my iMac and MacBook Air) the problem is really similar. But for me, instead of skipping from smallest to largest, it lags really bad. Don't worry, it's nothing to do with your trackpad. I don't know whether the Sims team…
It should, but because of the Graphics (the Iris Pro 6200). The more content she adds to the game (new content after all the GP, SP and EP after the existing ones), the game will slow down. Obviously, if price is not an issue, then I would advise going for the 5K 27" one, that has a dedicated graphics card, which will…
Hi :) First of all, your house looks really great! :) The curved porch really looks nice. Personally I would put the stairs back by a square, so that it doesn't protrude as much. I also agree with rosemow, you should use terrain paint to create a little pathway, and put some plants, flowers and trees around the house.…
That is all up to the Sims Team to update the game to support the new game. How is the performance on it? I was looking to pick one up with the 460! :)
You can limit the FPS in Documents » Electronic Arts » The Sims 4 » Options.ini. There is line that says "frameratelimit". That you can set to whatever you like, 30, or 60... 60 is the best. I set mine to 30, and my MacBook Air's temperature won't go above about 60C degrees.
I have a Macbook Air (with the exact same specs), and it runs The Sims 4 comfortably on medium (1366x768). If you run it under Windows (in BootCamp), the game might even reach High Settings at 1920x1080. BUT as you add more content to the game through DLC (expansion packs, game packs and stuff packs), the game will start…
Yes it should work at medium settings for sure! As your daughter might add more content (like expansion packs, game packs and stuff packs), it might start to slow down. But for most parts, it will be fine. :) Hope this helps!
@BluebellFlora is right. The MacBook will run the game on lowest settings, but it is not advised. This is because the laptop is fan-less, because the processor doesn't generate enough heat to require one. :)
On Origin, this is what it says under the requirements for all the 3 expansions: Get To Work: 3GB Free Space (14GB with Installing The Sims 4) Get Together: 3GB Free Space (14GB with Installing The Sims 4) - This would probably be 6GB if installing Get To Work AND Get Together. City Living: 3GB Free Space (14GB with…
The 13" without the Touch Bar has one fan. The 13" WITH the Touch Bar has two fans. And the 15" with the Touch Bar has two fans as well. It's only the 13" (no-TB) that has 1 fan, because of the 15W processor, it doesn't generate as much heat, as the higher tier ones. :)
Personally I would go for Isla Paradiso, Sims University or Bridgeport. I LOVE the way Sims University is laid out, the "4 lane freeway", the houses and everything. Here, I would move into a cosy 3 or 4 bedroom house. Isla Paradiso is just the typical tropical island that I would love to go to, and I would…
Thanks for the link. I was looking at benchmarks on other websites, and most show that the 750M is better, but in the conclusion sections, the 650M is always listed as the better one. It's really weird. Also don't understand why the 650M is an Uber card, in my opinion it's a High card.
Your Origin issue could be similar to mine (which is the date thing). For me it displays that I played it last on the 31st of July, and only for 59 hours in total, when in fact, I played it earlier today, and played it for about 560+ hours. :P Don't really know what's going on, but I don't care (but I do a little bit), as…
You won't lose everything if you make a copy of "The Sims 4" folder in your Documents. Drag it to your desktop, and when you're done with reinstalling, you can put it back. :)
