  • If you have Parenthood, keep the babies as babies as long as possible -- interacting with the baby is a good way to build Parenting skill fairly easily, so by the time they age to toddler you can do more things for them. I second the idea of dragging a plate of food up to the toddler bedroom/nursery; if you have a Sim…
  • Opened my game and a lot of the food stalls were missing -- but they came back after a game day or two so it was just temporary I guess.
  • The way I see it, Kits are sort of the equivalent of the Sims 3 Store -- sets of items that go together. They probably don't have the longer lead time production-wise that an SP or GP would require, so they can announce them quicker. Pretty sure they're working on more packs but they're not ready to announce them yet.
  • I think they have a place in the Simiverse -- for example people who don't want to use CC (or console players who can't) but want just a few new items rather than a full on SP or GP. I'm actually interested to hear what's in the pipeline for pack refreshes; enjoying the new Spa Day features. Would be cool if we could get…
  • I'm holding off rebuilding my template save till the lore update comes through, in case the lore doesn't extend to existing saves, plus if they adjust the looks of some of the OG Sims (looking at Bella Goth and offspring).
  • When I got my new computer in January, I redownloaded/reinstalled the game and opened it once (to create the new The Sims 4 folder in Documents/Electronic Arts). Then I moved my saves and Tray folders and reinstalled all my mods. That's the best way to do it IMO.
  • I go for either programming or one of the creative careers (painter/writer). I like to try and finish the Painter aspiration when my creative Sim is a teenager because the reward allows a Sim to write any of the emotional based books (Romance, Workout Guide, etc.) regardless of mood, so it gives more options. I also like…
  • I do Easter with Egg Hunt, Flower Bunny, Grand Meal (I have some of my restaurants with the Grand Meals on the menu for my single Sims -- still counts!) and Attend Holiday Ceremony. And I do New Year's Day with Polar Bear Plunge and Watch Sports (since here in the US there's a lot of college football on that day).
  • I saw in the Broken/Updated Mods today that it's been updated -- might want to go grab it and see if it's working again.
  • I saw Nancy Landgraab killed by a rabbit in one of lilsimsie's LPs -- hilarious!
  • I really like that now the festivals show up on the calendar -- so if Geekcon is coming up I can have my Geek teens take a vacation day from school to go enjoy themselves.
  • I'm fine with commissioning CC creators -- like Ebonix with her fingernails we're getting in the Spa Day refresh today. It's a way of recognizing the work creators have done to supplement the game, and heck, why reinvent the wheel if the content is out there?
  • For me, I have no problem with it if it's not a key feature of the original DLC. For example, the calendar from Seasons is cool, but it's not a key feature -- the changing seasons is the key, and the impact that has on activities (it's like raaaain on your wedding day....), gardening, etc. And with all the different…
  • Of the two I'd go for Backyard -- the waterslide is a lot of fun (if your yard is big enough), and I really like a lot of the CAS from the pack. The big umbrella tables with matching chairs are also really nice if you've got a good sized family or do a lot of entertaining.
  • I'm actually starting to like some of the BB in the pack, especially some of the hanging lights that seem to mesh well with my builds/remodels.
  • I love much of the Build mode items, especially the wall textures and the floor tiles, plus many of the water features. The Wellness activities make a nice hobby for my Elder Sims -- low impact so they're not going to die of exhaustion like with regular fitness, and the teleporting feature comes in really handy. I had a…
  • I'd actually just moved a bunch of mods out to my desktop (I was trying to see if an issue I was having was mod related) so guess I'll leave them there. Don't use any CAS CC so at least I don't have to worry about that -- the one mod I worry about breaking is UI Cheats and that breaks if you look at it sideways. 🙄
  • Yoga for Children Maybe if we get a Parenthood pack refresh, yoga/meditation can help kids get through phases quicker.
  • From the screenshot I saw it looks more like a play type of thing, like face painting -- I saw one that looked like maybe a tiger face, which could be quite cute. I'm now thinking of a High Maintenance Self-Absorbed Snob for my next foray into the Acting Career. B)
  • Or it could be a sign that werewolves are on the drawing board, as that's also a perfect opportunity for body hair.
  • Maybe OR is on the list, but they're still working on things like being able to live there full-time (ditto with JA). A park ranger career could be cool, or maybe a naturalist that can help Sims identify plants and fish. Spa Day is a good choice for the first refresh though, especially with things that can be done at home…
  • I really don't have the space for a desktop system, so I play on a laptop. I have the Lenovo Legion; bought it in January when my old ASUS ROG bit the dust. Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz (12 CPUs), ~2.6GHz, 24GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 1660 Ti graphics card, 17in monitor (decided I wanted the bigger real…
  • I take frequent breaks -- had an extended one because I just couldn't see playing, literally (had bad cataracts). Sometimes instead of playing I'll do some building/remodeling especially in the time period between patches and mod updates, or just when we get new content. And I have other activities to keep me busy --…
  • I'm going with a GP, but I'm counting the planned GP refresh in that category; either OR or SD since they're the two oldest GPs and both would fit the "refreshing" announcement. Maybe they'll enable Granite Falls as a residential world, then if nothing blows up they can extend that to Selvadorada.
  • Or maybe with fires -- a lot challenge that could involve more frequent fires. I noticed many of the previous lot traits were moved to lot challenges -- things like filthy, grody, quake zone, volcanic activity, etc. You can go into each house into a neighborhood and give every one a certain lot trait; maybe they could have…
  • Thought about sending my Geek Sim there for a graduation gift but he's getting married instead. :/ Might send him there and cheat enough Galactic Credits for a droid and maybe one of the stereos (his future wife is also a Geek). I do like some of the CAS from the pack (a couple of my favorite hairs are from there) and some…
  • For folks like me who don't want to fall down the CC rabbithole just yet, as well as for console players who can't use CC, this will be a cool kit. May revive my Old Salt House bowling alley conversion in San Myshuno (I'd turned it back to a residential lot and set it as a rental when we got the option to have rentals in…
  • I think the grocery stand is in Outdoor Activities (like the food stands from other packs), but it doesn't auto-generate an employee. LittleMsSam has a mod that autogenerates employees for food stands which might work if you're not mod-averse (or on console).
  • Are you in Plymouth? I heard about a shooting there. Here in the US, a friend/neighbor's car got hit by crossfire last week in the afternoon as she was driving home from some errands; cracked her windshield (she's getting it replaced tomorrow).
  • Maybe an animal treat made from plasma fruit?
