I had found that if xp or 7 dds from the link need to computer,local c,programs files(x86),gimp-2.0,lib,gimp,2.0,plug-ins... The gimp 2.8 file in just programs was not working. I think that processes does with vista. everything still the same with 2.8 with extras. Thanks for all the help in here.

I had a similar problem, idk if it will solve yours, but it's worth a try. If you're able to, use save as to save your game as a completely different name, it solved more than one problem I was having. Hope that helps, if not, sorry I wasn't of more help.

Not only do I have this problem, but also in custom worlds when I try to place an empty lot it snaps to the road just fine (the lot goes green and everything) but then says cannot place lot on road. sounds like every thing worked fine with installation. sims3 base and C.A.W. will need 10g to run. i would uninstall delete all that has anything to do with sims as u might have many test worlds saved and all under new file names as it wont save other wise. u will need 16g. u said 4g, 12 more will give u the ten u need…
