  • Pretty sure the text in the description isn't dynamic so it probably won't update in BB.
  • Yup! That was where I had so much trouble picking... Any or all would be welcome, but I had trouble choosing what I wanted most rather than just putting 10 for everything. I elevated the things that seemed related to memories most higly, but I couldn't really put anything super low in that section.
  • The mod works well, but be sure to read the instructions for using it as there are some step to make them eligible. Also don't expect much for the unplayed Sims grades - many of them probably won't do super well (same is true of default roommates).
  • You start tanning first then you can add protection by clicking on the sim.
  • Luxury Party. There's literally nothing I use in it ever (I want my Sims to cook, the tables just annoy me). Spooky Stuff hasn't aged well, but it was our first rundown content and there's still some swatches I use in lots I built for back then and I still throw a spooky day party every sim year without fail, since it's my…
  • Funnily what Vivec gets up to is a known thing - it's memorable and not the sort of thing one forgets. It's in the various books in Morrowind... The large bed ESO is very much a nod to this history. On topic - as most of my Sims live in small houses and apartments so I'm pretty into this pack. A lot of the items look…
  • No worries it's my fault for not explaining it well, but what I was trying to say was basically the same system! Also thanks for making your mods - I use quite a few of them in my game!
  • In ~2000 hours of gameplay I've had only one accidental emotional death. My Vampires caused quite a few emotional deaths but I worked for those and intended them. Granted I don't like play much in fancy environments - give me run-down houses any day.
  • To me City Living, Seasons, and Get Together are my most used expansions. For me Get Famous is least useful - it's appears to be a nice implementation of the game system, but I so rarely want to play with fame or famous sims, so I just don't really use it. It's not so much a terrible pack as the expansion that is furthest…
  • 3 classes (either 2 core and 1 elective or 3 core) for most cases. This gives the proper pressure for my game style that's fun. Sometimes they fall behind and do badly but at 2 classes I'll have an A+ in every class with no real pressure.
  • Not sure we're doing it differently, this is what I do too. Save about 4 or 5 pm see the grades but don't save, and then rotate away is how I do it, though I don't really think seeing the grades changes anything so I doubt it's necessary. Didn't realize it was always 6 pm though - it always has been but I wasn't sure if…
  • It is from Paulson, but there is free release on his website. Paying gets one access to pre-releses and dev builds and some extra features, but the free release has all the things needed to correct the issues being discussed in this thread and it's kept up-to-date with the game version. I use the current free version and…
  • You can accomplish this after the first term - played Sims will remain enrolled indefinitely and continue in student housing while you don't play them, but they get "frozen" at the end of their last active term. This means you need to do the following: 1.) Enroll them all on the same day, and move them wherever they should…
  • I set up a lot of pre-existing relationships throughout the world - established families are established with skills, jobs, relationships, and clubs with aging off. Sometimes I take control of those Sims to play an arc from their view point - especially if they need to do something nefarious and specific. My core families…
  • San Myshuno just narrowly edges out Windenburg for me right now, but one of these 2 are always and forever my go-to world's. I'll never quite get the love for Brindleton Bay... It must be beautiful because so many people love it (and it's not something anyone can be wrong about!) but it pushes no buttons for me at all - it…
  • I've always (going back to LD's release) had loads come out used occasionally, especially if the dryer break during that load.
  • LOD = "Level of Detail" In this case it means the items have all the different Levels of Detail the game uses.
  • Yeah there should be a "Professor" entry in the job list in addition to the "education" entry. It's always worked for my graduates. Maybe there's a mod conflict going on?
  • The high level jobs are different entries when getting a new job than the low level positions. The low level jobs are still available so if you've entered at entry level position you didn't pick the high level jobs entry. For instance if a degree allows you to become a professor, you get a job entry for professor and one…
  • 1.) A romance/chemistry/relationship update. Either alone or with a broader overhaul to personalities. 2.) More group activities for Sims to do. Especially things that both kids and adults can do. Playing catch, passing the soccer ball, playing in a band, etc. 3.) Skateboarding... I know it's a narrow interest, but it's…
  • If you have another sim you can "try to cheer up". This interaction can erase sadness immediately in the affected sim, if it works. I'm not sure if the interaction is gated on charisma or what emotions the sim trying to do it needs - I know they can't do it if they also have a negative moodlet. I'd say my sims in a large…
  • Well, I've played with vampires in the past, and they still fill the background and mythos of my core save, but it's been ages since I've taken one out for a spin. I do have taking Caleb (and his truly awesome sphynx cat, Senator) out and getting him some fame on my list, but I haven't done it yet. I've also got some…
  • None of these really. I take screen shots and caption them with the in game tools (I usually make them memories, mostly to remind me who was present and as a shorthand to keep from having to note that). Occasionally, especially after a long time away, I'll sit down and run through the album to remind myself who they are.…
  • The game packs are to me the hardest to choose. I have a definite favorite (Parenthood), but all of them have been pretty good. Spa Day was a weak theme for me, though it's super well executed, and I probably use it's BB objects more than any pack, especially in modern builds. Honestly I'd probably consider the BB objects…
  • I tend to do salad's only until my sim is level 3 in cooking or higher. That plus upgrading fireplaces and dryers should make fires on the home lot rare or never. Beware visiting other lots, though as many townies have 0 for cooking and most of my sim's friends will happily light their kitchen on fire while visiting them…
  • The options seem good and to reasonably mimic a simified version of the real life careers. Also glad the system will be in place as it will hopefully allow modders to hook in. This is important as modders don't have an easy time creating new systems (virtually no mods have good UX), but excel at making content, so this…
  • Yup, that should work. The player can opt a sim regardless of if they already have started earning fame in my experience. The global setting only affect sims without any fame, but the individual opt out on the fame perk selection screen works even when sims have fame.
  • Having worked/lived with folks doing freelance writing and programming, I can say it's pretty routine to refer to the contracts as gigs. Even in the corporate programming space where I work, we often call one off contract jobs, especially those that are weird or different, gigs. I don't know about digital artists, the only…
  • Realism more than fantasy, but vampires do get to hangout in my main save. Usually I've pretty much ignored fantasy elements, but the Sims 4 vampires we're fun and well done enough that they found a way in. As for aliens... no thanks.
  • If you don't give out keys they won't come over for this event and it won't happen.
