Does anyone here have experience with editing the names list(s)? I want to update the world-localized lists, like the "Japanese" names, the Sulani/island names, Selvadorada ("Latino") names, etc. Thank you.
I'm thinking the same thing with socks. It surprises me how often players don't incorporate socks in their Sims' outfits — even on the athletic category. Is that how millennials dress in real life —no socks, ever?
I love the idea of offering an exclusive incentive to pay for the pack at full price. It would probably be the only reason I would buy ANYTHING from EA at full-price. Let's see if we can get them to see this for The Sims 5. It may be too late to do this for The Sims 4, .... unless they can retroactively offer rewards.…
I installed the patch earlier today — without mods — and it's been working just fine. The only odd issue I've had now is being unable to drag fruits/veggies to/from my Sim's inventory.
It's definitely a good mobile game to play when you're bored or waiting for something, but is not meant to have your undivided attention like the desktop version.
So weird you brought this up now.... I was JUST playing Island Living last night, and had a Sim with the "Child of the Island" trait, and discovered he could summon elementals (they look like ghost Sims). But I apparently disappointed them, and I have no idea how to please them... Do you have a Sim with child of the…
I got Skiing! 🗻 🏔️ By the way, one of the questions has the Blue and Red pills mixed up. In the Matrix, the Red Pill means escape the Matrix, or in other words, "wake up" and accept the harsh real world. The Blue Pill means "staying in Wonderland."
Alright. This livestream is MUCH appreciated. It gives me enough gameplay to determine whether or not I will buy it — when it's on sale, of course! A marvelous stream, gurus! An thank you for answering REAL questions from the community! :) ♥
Whoever is saying they weren't allowed to use MoveObjectsOn is inaccurate. At least, James was allowed to. Maybe it was only him who could? He says they let them use MOO at the timestamp 7:40 : (The above quote is transcribed from him speaking. :) ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvRS7Jz7HdM Also, Deligracy says in…
Cancel my request — sort of. I found out I can search for "120 Wright Way" in the Sims 3 Exchange and find a lot of results for this address!! The Sims 3 just keeps getting better and better! That said... the Exchange is pretty clunky to navigate... Are there any Sims 3 houses/lots blogs out there? Thanks!! :)
Something that would fix all of these one-off object requests would be having a Sims 4 store. They might be avoiding it because it's probably resource-intensive to code. But... gosh is it CONVENIENT for the players to have it in The Sims 3. I love picking and choosing my Sims content. And I am just plain not a fan of mods.…
The Sims 1 really helped shape my humor as a kid. :) I'm an American and love all the dry, deadpan, slap-stick humor of the Sims. It was so thorough, too. As @bellagoth_ said earlier in this thread, it depends on the folks working on the content (unfortunately). I wish they enforced this witty humor, or at least hired…
Congrats to everyone here who has uninstalled the game. I do hope you Mac users enjoy The Sims 3 when it is available in 64-bit. I've been playing it on Windows for about a month now, and it's the bomb. Or enjoy The Sims 2, if you can get your paws on it. :) 1, 2 and 3 are all great. Graphics aren't everything. -sketches
Wow, you're not alone! Even to this day, my mind also still remembers the floorplan of anywhere I've ventured. It's kind of a cool and helpful ability. And yes... looking by at houses. ♥
Yes, since Day 1 of playing The Sims. In high school, during the days of The Sims 2, I had done a class project on designing my dream house in The Sims 2. (So funny... That was before Sims 3 building tools, and long before the incredible innovations of The Sims 4 build mode.) I went on an architecture shadowing program in…
Hahaha, yes. So, I'm back on The Sims 3 now — and as soon as I saw the white ceiling of my country house, I just HAD to "paint" it! I squealed because I haven't painted a ceiling in The Sims in forever. I forgot how, but it's very intuitive. You just apply floor tiles onto the ceiling. I chose a wooden pattern. (But in The…
Hi, @wickichick. I play the Sims 3 just fine on Windows 10. I got back into it about a week ago — and IT'S AMAZING. ☆゚.*:・。゚ If you've registered The Sims 3 before, then it will be saved on your Origin account. This surprised me very much. The last time I had played The Sims 3 was in 2014 on a different machine that I…
I do now that I'm back in the game. It is amazing to see all of the items that The Sims 3 has that the Sims 4 doesn't. It's a dream! To be honest, I had completely forgotten The Sims 3 had a store. I like this model much more than The Sims 4's, where you would have to buy a whole expansion just for a few items. It's like…
Hello @Symb10sis It looks like life has thrown a lot of lemons your way this year! I have just gotten back into the Sims 3 — after last playing it in 2014 — and now realize I missed the opportunity to watch videos for SimPoints all these years. It's a wonderful game. You're doing good work. If you are still willing to give…
Nope! Haha. The video says to create Mods folder under Program Files > Origin Games > The Sims 3. Ha! That's probably what's going on, then. Thank you! I will look into this later today. You have been a major help!
That's weird. My Stuff Packs were saved on my Origin account. (Last played in June 2014... LOL!) @aaronrulz Yes, if you have the CDs anywhere (I kept mine, not knowing they'd be stored digitally, too), then dig 'em up! Good luck!
I created a Mods folder, and inside that, created an Overrides folder and Packages folder, and I put in the package file inside the Packages folder. Then, I found a Resource.cfg online from ModTheSims, from a Google search: https://modthesims.info/t/424043 and placed it right in the Mods folder. This is the lighting mod I…
