Hey guys! Hoping you can help and that someone can tell me if The Sims 4 should work fine on my system. Last time I used The Sims it was TS3, and my system did fail -- whether connected to TS3 or not, it scares me in pursuing TS4!

My specs are:

OS X Yosemite
iMac (27-inch, Late 2012)

2.9 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB

I restarted my computer, but nothing happened, then I tried moving the resource.cfg thing into the mods folder, and it came up with a message saying "This file is already in this folder"…

I did! It was either the new clothing I installed or the lashes, so I removed them and changed my screen resolution; plus,…
 • I'd love for "Seasons" to be the next add we get, because it'd be awesome for rainstorms, snow, fall, etc.
 • Turns out it's my mods; I only have about 25 installed. 🐸🐸🐸🐸.
 • So, um, my game won't even load now. I tried resetting it within Origin, and it did not work. It loads the EA and Maxis screens, and when it hits "The Sims 4" copyright page it freezes as the music plays. Hmmm..... and I haven't even played in over a week.

There is zero in the "Household Inventory," so I don't believe that's it. The lag happens whenever I try and move my camera, etc. I will definitely try and change the in-game…
 • I'm having gallery issues, too. When I try searching for a user, it doesn't show up, but when I find something they've created it can show, but selected said-user, it doesn't exist any longer!
 • My computer seems to lag; I have [some] custom content installed, but not enough to cause a major lag. Also, I cannot seem to get Full Editmode for CAS to launch within cheats. Is it a bug of some sort?
 • My game lags, a lot. I may have to set the graphics settings to "Medium" instead of "High." Could also be because of the CC I've installed, then to go automatically into the game, or that I have web browsers open, too. I'll try it again in a day or two to maybe see if the lag is gone!
 • Typing in "cas.fulleditmode" is not working!
 • Origin took me about two to four minutes to download, and The Sims 4 took me about twenty minutes. Not bad at all!

My main worry was that the game would crash my system for good, and my graphics card would fry out. My last system fried out, whether by TS3 or another reason, and it was my main gripe about installing TS4! > > > >…

 • > @Tremayne4260 said: > First of all, you shouldn't have many problems with Sims 4. However, I'd recommend buying more RAM (at least up to 32 GB) and upgrade your OS to High Sierra. Any version of the Sims will run better with more RAM. I will definitely look into getting more RAM. If I don't get it, will it still run…
