I downloaded a sim from the Gallery a long time back (Miss Hell) and now every time I update the family I get a message saying I can't upload it to the Gallery (and I'm not intending to).
Just discovered one of my Sims had created a club with YA and teens only and now she's an adult and kicked out of her own club, Erwin Pries is running it. I heard he doesn't die if you leave him alone so this club will last forever as it's not important to me to fix. It was a club for erratic people and still has members.
What I want to try doing and because I have 26 game saves (one family per save now) is to play one round on normal lifespan and the next round with aging off. This is because I recently switched from long to normal lifespan but my real preference is exactly between the two of them and I don't want to get a mod to adjust…
I've had a few of them. One sim took a day off at the beach, other sims just had to do different things that weren't job related or anything they were doing that was goal oriented. I even had a teen get into the pre-burnout stage. You do get a warning before a full-blown burnout.
My vote was tempered by the fact that I don't have the pulsating shopping cart, perhaps because I have all the packs (only missing a couple of kits). Still, it was giving me beginner challenges which I kept deleting.
I'm currently experimenting on this. Went from long to normal lifespan but watching how it goes and contemplating other options. Can't settle in my mind how I want to play. Like aging on which has been my norm, but if they don't live long enough on a normal game I may change things around.
I used to play my saves on Long but when I built some rental units my game corrupted to age all my sims up as though I had set the options to Normal. Made a decision to set all my game saves to Normal as I was also getting tired with the ever lengthening age ranges and all has worked out OK since then.
I usually check for compatibilities and try to match sims with good or amazing compatibilities. If some sims don't seem to get any matches at all it's usually because they have a game-given dislike so I get rid of these routinely so they can have better matches. Do keep the likes though.
I spent so much time last year on purging possessions in real life and packing to move to a smaller place that playing Sims had to take a backseat. Now I'm getting over pneumonia which was another reason I played less than I used to. So my Sim goals are just to spend more time playing.
I have 26 games that I play in rotation (and rotate 2 families in each save, 52 families). All of my sims have different goals and it's exciting when some of them actually finish one of them. I've tried a couple of scenarios and tend to keep the families in game after. I micromanage all the NPCs in game to a limited extent…
Since I only do 2 families per legacy and there's a residential rental glitch playing on long (my former default lifespan) that aged all my sims as if I was playing on normal if I moved anyone in an apartment, I now have switched to playing on normal lifespan. It's so liberating not to be bogged down by all the lengthy…
I had a couple where the husband wanted to break up often, but then he got electrocuted and she was able to plead with Death to save his life. They are still together and have a kid. Sometimes those wants and fears are annoying and I get rid of them if they don't make sense in my stories. Ditto character traits.
Not Windows 11 but my computer just died one day unexpectedly. I had been paying Geek Squad every month and while they did try a repair my computer was too old. Did get a huge discount on a new computer from Best Buy but the whole process took forever. Geek Squad was able to salvage my save files and made a special file on…
One plan was to move a multi-gen family into a duplex, so I noted they could share community space for a laundry room, gym area, or pool and even perhaps kitchen, living areas with their own bed/bath areas. Also could give the YA son no rent/low rent to start him off since the parents are rich. They would live with their…
Want to move a couple of families to Tomarang. One large family will be split up and live in a duplex. Another family in Windenburg wants to move because they have a cat who is a bush fanatic and goes to the park near their home way too often. I can't make changes as it's not part of a lot.
In one of my saves he became the Hero of Strangerville, defeating the mother. He married and they have a daughter and still live in STV. George works as a barista and makes juice fizz and his wife is in the army. In other saves not much happened to him.
