I have similar feedback, so I'll piggyback it here. I have been very frustrated lately with the interaction between lot types and lot traits, specifically, the ways that lot traits are restricted for certain lot types. Why can't my vacation rental be off-the-grid? Why can't my restaurant be cat-friendly if I choose? These…
I'd like to echo what's been said. Gurus, if you're reading, a game update that separates all scarves from tops and makes them necklaces instead would be much appreciated.
Unrelated to bug fixes, I would also really like a mod that gives all plants (houseplants, etc.) a green eco footprint effect and cooking/consuming meat an industrial eco footprint effect.
I would really like a fix for whatever bug is forcing all neighborhoods to neutral and getting neighborhoods that start in neutral completely stuck on it. I don't know what triggers this bug, but I have it, it affects every save file even when I remove all CC and factory reset my game, and it makes the main feature of the…
Anyone who is having this issue, please go to the now-combined bug thread on EA's tech support forum here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-ECO-Issues-with-Eco-Footprint-Changes/td-p/9180818 and click the "Me too" button. The more people who report, the quicker we might get a fix.
This is a bug, which I and several others have reported under different names/assumptions about what's going wrong. The game goes insistently toward neutral no matter what you do and is stuck on neutral if it started that way. Please go click "Me too" on the relevant bug reports on the EA forums.
I'm having the exact same bug in the opposite direction--no matter what I do, I can't get my neutral hoods to go even slightly green and when I go into Grimm's Quarry it drops rapidly to neutral within the first two days, even if all the building materials are green. I reported this as a "can't move from neutral" bug, but…
Hi, SimGurus! Thank you for all the great work that you do, and for making this such an inclusive game in front of the scenes. My questions for behind-the-scenes: 1) Is your boss a woman? 2) Is her boss a woman? 3) How about hers? 4) Regardless of level, are you paid the same as your male peers, just like in the game? And…
Given that this thread is old but still open, and the sims team has recently been asking what we'd like to see next/how we'd like to have the game improved, I would like to throw out here that I would dearly love to have a venue type combined residential/retail. Many of us already play with shops that have an apartment for…
I realize this may be the opposite of some people's complaints, but I think it is too easy to get 'A's in DU. I had a sim turn in a poor quality term paper and give a poor quality presentation that she had never rehearsed, and she still got an A+ in both classes. I looked up some people's game guides, and it seems that all…
I also have a level 10 actress who is a global superstar, has all the perks that supposedly augment money, has worked literally as many gigs per week as allowed her entire adult life, has so much charisma that she can borrow large sums of money from all her friends, and still can't afford a mansion on the hill. Gurus, if…
Yes, that's correct. Only graves where that has expired. Which is another thing I dislike, as I'm a rotational player and I don't actually get that message unless I happen to be playing the household that grave belongs to at the time it goes into "save my ghost" mode, so all my graves have expired accidentally. But it…
I completely agree about the toddlers in highchairs one. Also, I just thought of a great way to improve earthquakes. Make them like Gremlins, so that after the shaking everything in the house breaks simultaneously. Also, if Vampires is installed, randomly and automatically add cracks to the walls.
My question is about cats and rats: I read somewhere that cats will chase the City Living rats, and considering that there is a buyable rat hole that came with the expansion specifically for your cats, I assume this is true. However, I have had two cats living in an apartment with a serious rat problem for many sim days…
Two things I forgot to include in previous post: I recently discovered that tulips count as energizing decor already, so tulip arrangements in vases could do the same and be crafted by energetic sims. Also, some form of throwback to the TS2 snapdragon arrangement would be nice, with snapdragon arrangements slowly boosting…
I definitely want flower arranging that uses the growable/collectable flowers--I was really disappointed when I found out you can't do anything with them right now (they don't even appear in a vase if you just drop them on the counter), and the stuff they have in-game right now would be so perfect for creating…
Great ideas on all fronts! To the option to have kids belong to both sims in an unmarried romantic partnership, I would like to have the option to have a child belong to only one of the partners in a married one. In all sims games to date, when you make a married couple all children automatically belong to both... I want…
I agree with most of these comments, especially the ones about things you have to read rather than see enacted. And on that subject, I can absolutely live without moodlets. I am unclear at this point whether they will be in TS4, but it seems like the inclusion of moods as a major feature would preclude the use of moodlets.…
Agreed. In fact, I can't wait to hear more about the relationship system in TS4 in general. I'm really hoping their central focus on "the sims themselves" extends to smarter relationship management as well as individual personalities/emotions. Heck, even returning to the kind of relationship systems they had in TS2 would…
Agreed. I'm a little disappointed this is not in the game. I thought it was a funny, clever idea... and would be a great way to get your sim out of a "depressed" state.
I also like this idea, and although I can't comment about implementation from any actual knowledge base, it seems to me like they're headed in this direction with the emotional complexity of TS4. If ALL sims are going to have emotions (not just the ones you control), it would make sense to me that an NPC in a "flirty" mood…
I am troubled by the confirmation of woohoo "inside buildings." Does this mean that we will still have rabbitholes in TS4? That makes me really sad. I was really hoping the rumors that they had eliminated all rabbitholes for this game were true. :(
I agree with everything that's been said, but want to reiterate for any game developers who might be reading this that the jealousy system should NOT activate unless two sims have made an actual commitment to one another (going steady or above). I had a mod for the Sims 2 that allowed me to institute this policy but it…
