  • So, today I learned that infants can, in fact, interact with each other. They can smile and coo at another infant, and they do gain relationship points by doing so. (Although, Mario here wasn't exactly thrilled because he was in a new place-he's cautious and he was sad until he was back at home.) I also had my first…
  • Ok, I just finished playing my first household with infants, and I am in love: Meet Downy: With her dad, Asteroid: With her mom, Keely: And with her big brother, Clorox (yes, children can play dolls with infants!):
  • Ok, after a few false starts, I finally had a wedding go well enough to grab some screenshots. This was Carrie and Finn's wedding. Both are born in game. The ceremony: They bonked heads during the first kiss. Carrie was very concerned: First Dance: Carrie dancing with her niece Amaryllis Cutting the cake:
  • I got Destination You prefer a nice vacation with just a few guests and a stunning backdrop, whether it be a tropical beach or a city skyline. We suggest making sure to send out your invites extra early, and checking in with guests to make sure they RSVP! Now just go find the person of your dreams! Thanks for hosting this!
  • I’m wondering the same thing-I’m lucky that this pack is coming out while I’m playing one of my University groups, which always wrap up with all of their weddings. One of the future brides has a toddler nephew and niece that would make an adorable flower pal and ring bearer couple. Another has 10 child cousins, 9 of them…
  • Hi, there! Welcome to the rotational gameplay club! I've been playing rotationally since 2015, so I'd be glad to give you some tips. My first and biggest suggestion would be to have some sort of structure or schedule to when you rotate houses. This can be as rigid or loose as you want, but it will make some of the other…
  • Once again, thank you for taking community feedback in this way. For this topic in particular, I think the longer forum post format is better suited than short-form posts on other platforms. The thing about the concept of “depth and challenge” is that it means different things to different people. For myself, my biggest…
  • I’ve had 3 sets of triplets so far. The first was rather early on, in my “Pixar character” name house. Two girls and a boy; Eve, Merida, and Buzz. Then, much much later, I ended up having two sets born very close together. The first were all girls, born into the “astronomy/space terms” house; Celestial, Eclipse, and…
  • I don't play with a ton of pre-mades, but I did end up marrying in Lucas Munch from Get Together. Here he is with his wife Daisy and their three kids-Mark, Harrison, and Carrie And here are the three kids as teenagers:
  • So I ended up enjoying this way more than I thought I would. As luck would have it, I was just about to play my household with the "musical instrument" naming theme when this was announced. My first (pleasant) surprise was that as soon as the family arrived at the park, all of them automatically started going towards the…
  • Yup, it’s base game- I think they patched it in with toddlers, but I’m not 100% on that.
  • So, I just finished playing through my first Sim week with the new pack. I had a great time. I got to complete 5 gigs, including one call-back. I had a few small issues as far as glitches go, but nothing game-breaking. The biggest hurdle came on my Sims' third gig, which was billed as a "walk-in closet renovation"-only,…
  • First of all, I think it’s a great thing that the team is taking topic suggestions in this way. (Although I do wonder if you truly understand what you all are in for.) That being said, here are some topics I’d like to see discussed. 1. EP vs. GP What factors does the team look at when differentiating an EP from a GP,…
  • So, I actually did the triple wedding thing once. I had one family where 3 siblings all became engaged around the same time. Since I didn’t want to push their weddings out across multiple rotations, they all got married together. A few things to keep in mind if you go this route: First, the game will always recognize only…
  • You actually can use the markers for more than 3 Sims. Only 3 Sims will randomize their poses, but the others will stay on the markers. I've used this method for several of my large families. For example, here: The three kids are randomizing their poses, but the elder and two toddlers are also standing on markers.
  • Ok, now that is adorable. Edit: And it seems that this is a child-only action. I'm currently playing a YA with the same trait, and she doesn't have that action. Nice touch that they added unique actions for kids.
  • Yeah, the only thing you can put under the "loft" bed is another bed-either a standard single bed or a toddler bed will "snap" to the bunk like the dining chairs do to the tables. There is a neat option for the loft bed, though, where you can alter which side the ladder is on.
  • Wow, this is a great thread. I have way too many born in game Sims to pick just one, so here's a whole extended family: The two on the top left (in the pink and striped sweaters) and the ones in the green and brown and gray on the couch are all siblings-Leia, Poe, Luke, and Han. Everyone else is either a spouse or a…
  • Technically, there is no such thing as “identical” vs. “fraternal” twins in the genetic sense in TS4. All twins born in the game are fraternal, no matter how similar they look. However, depending on the genetics of the parents, some sets may appear more identical than others. I personally have a set of triplets (2 girls…
  • This will probably always be one of my favorites...awhile back, I had a Sim die of laughter during a birthday party. After the deed was done, Grimmy decided to stick around... At least someone had a good time.
  • For the screenshots I include on my blog, I use an external program called Skitch rather than the in-game screenshot feature. This lets me immediately drag the screenshot to the appropriate folder after I take it rather than having to organize them all after the fact. (It also lets me add text, as I label the pictures with…
  • I’m pretty sure it’s a play on the Hunger Games. It sent my Sim once, but I had to cancel and bring him home early because it was time for me to switch houses.
  • Yeah, that is definitely a bug. It is possible for a full-blooded alien to be born with human skin as a result of genetic mixing (I've got one in my game) but that doesn't seem like what is going on here. For starters, your mom was straight out of CAS (at least, that's how I interpreted the post). Also, the fact that the…
  • This is going to sound surprising given my signiture banner but...no, I'm not. I did download CC masks for the express purpose of making my signiture/blog header, but I did not leave the masks on for normal gameplay. I've always played/written my Sims from the perspective that while their world may resemble ours in many…
  • I would also like to know this. I’ve seen a couple of comments responding to videos and tweets saying that we can choose to have the uniforms for all worlds, but I have yet to find A) any official confirmation of this or B: any information about how it would work if true.
  • Everything in the leaked page sounds amazing, although it does beg the question of why wasn't 90% of that in the gameplay trailer. I love that there is a children's festival-kids were so left out of the festivals in City Living and Island Living, so it's nice to see one especially for them here. Crafting paper hats sounds…
  • I was just about to post this; you beat me to it! Also, Sims team, please do this for all future packs that come with new worlds! Finally, we don't have to speculate over what is/isn't a lot and what lot types there are.
  • Posted some of these in the Positive Thoughts thread last night, but here are some highlights from my Sims' first visit to Battu. (The whole thing can be found here: https://tranquilitycreeksims.blogspot.com/2020/09/kauker-3-round-20.html ) Padme learning to play Sabbac Rey after she finally bypassed the control panel Rey…
  • Just finished the blog post chronicling my Sims' first visit to Battu. https://tranquilitycreeksims.blogspot.com/2020/09/kauker-3-round-20.html Some highlights:
  • Ok, well, now that my (very poorly timed) migraine seems to have subsided a bit I've finally been able to play and...I am having a blast! I ended up taking a full group of 8 Sims, but only 3 of them are really digging into the missions. The others have just kind of been hanging out at the cantina or serving as distractions…
