Some virus checkers - such as BitDefender are blocking the client. If you have BitDefender then disable Active Threat Control. Then just re-enable it. Or do something similar if you have a different anti-virus. This happens with Steam for some people.

Get Together is a must have. I use it a lot - basically it is a glorified cheat system to boost Sims stats/learning; however, you can apply it in so many ways to suit what you want to achieve and mask it behind a club.

Well, toddlers are blocking pets. Pets are like toddlers - they require new animations and gameplay - as do toddlers. So, if Pets arrive, then a ton of people will smell a rat and realise we could have had toddlers all along. So, damage limitation equates to no Pets.

The lack of re-spawning hurts this. I had a family of thieves who emptied the museuem over a period of time to the point where there was no point anyone going there.
