I do hate TS4 babies, because I want all of the depth that Freeplay babies have. If they were real sims, with hair and clothes and actual things to do, able to learn skills and be part of the family, people probably wouldn't want to age them up instantly. As they are, TS4 babies are just maddeningly boring.
I use this mod by Graycurse at MTS, which allows you to shop for ingredients from refrigerators. It does quite a lot more than just that, though, so it may be more intrusive than you want in your game. But I think it's really fun, and it adds a lot of challenge to the cooking system. He also updates pretty quickly after…
I love the idea, especially for making adult and elder sims. It's the most annoying thing to make a middle-age sim who starts off with no skills and no career history, like they've been living in a bubble for 40 years. It's such a chore to decide and then cheat in all of the personality and life experience they should…
I would be totally on board with 350 new color swatches! Maybe some of them might be new hair colors. I need a real brown-toned black, and a few new realistic shades of light brown, reds, and blondes.
I would be pleased if they did at least a color wheel for just the hair and skin colors! The hair colors are especially awful, with the blue-black and mac & cheese yellow. What were they even thinking?
I think TS4's Strangerville is more a play on the TV show Stranger Things than TS2's Strangetown. I think people just jumped to the Strangetown conclusion before we had enough info.
It's going to bother me forever that they only gave us half the street in that lower-priced neighborhood. How would it really kill performance to open up that whole street instead of half? To knock down the three or four deco houses and give us three or four more generic 20x20 starter lots instead? In these recent worlds,…
I watched it again and I think you might be right! I guess it must be level 1 on top of the hill because of the way the sims snapped up to the surface as he made the hill. Yay! Okay, I'm looking forward to this now! :)
I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but I'm pretty sure there is a whole one-story room underneath the level that's on the hill. You can see it when he's first building the hill, but then he leveled the terrain to cover it completely. So I don't think those are separate foundations, just level one on the ground and level…
I hope everyone would remember that we all play differently. I play a huge rotation and I age my sims slowly. It's sometimes even slower than real life time. My babies stay babies for several RL months, sometimes over a year, and I can't just age them up to toddlers because I want to keep everyone's ages synced. So it's…
I really wish we could just have our sims officially live on their retail lots. All of my shop owners spend so much time at their retail stores, there's no point owning a house too. It ends up being a waste of a perfectly good lot that another family might like to own. Or else, I wish they'd given us real apartment tools.…
I would be interested only if they gave us a building tool to divide lots into smaller ownable pieces. So one 64x64 could divide into several smaller shops that sims could own and change the individual zoning to whatever, including residential for "apartments". (To make up for not giving us real apartment tools in CL.) So…
I like that they spawn, but the placement bothers me too. Weird angles, or off-center, or cut through sidewalks, or even just in a place that I wanted to remain bare grass. Now we need world editing tools even more!
OMG, this! I only just thought of our poor babies in their little short-sleeved onesies having to endure a cold winter half-naked. How are they not going to update the babies to at least have clothing, with seasons coming now? :o
I had really hoped we might get an option to modify the sunrise/sunset times per world. Or fine even if we got varying seasonal times set by default for all of the worlds. (Did anyone ask that question yet? I haven't seen anything answered about it one way or another.) Early nights in Windenburg will be nice in the winter,…
Has anyone found out what is the longest we can set the seasons to? I already play with a calendar that I track myself and a custom super long lifespan (180 days/year, 45 days/season), so I'm hoping I can set mine that long. If not, MCCC to the rescue! But I hope they give us something reasonably long to work with at least…
At the very very least, I wish they would open up the career lots for other sims to travel to as community lots, to use the park spaces, or for storytelling purposes. The scenery around them is interesting, but none of my sims ever see it. My career sims are too busy working all day to really explore, and my other sims…
It is disappointing, but I’m not surprised. I still think the pack is going to be a great addition to the game, and it looks like it'll add a lot of fun gameplay from what we've seen so far. But you know, it could have been an A+ pack instead of an A-. The thing that mystifies me is that this pack is releasing in June.…
Oh neat! I hope the Easter eggs means that we'll be able to play the spring challenge hunt anytime our game is in spring. And maybe they'll give us back "trick or treat" and Day of the Dead interactions to use when our games are in the fall.
^ exactly this! Surroundings are so important when you're trying to imagine the kind of environment your sims live in—the background decor, the surrounding deco houses, the trees, the shrubbery, alpine mountains or rocks or no mountains at all. Even whether the fences are made of brick or metal or wood. I've been dying to…
I'm also having a problem with no available surfaces between each stage of cooking—like, chop the vegetables, toss the salad in the bowl, pour out the salad. My sim insists on moving to a new surface in between each stage, instead of using the perfectly good surface they were just on. If the only other surface is across…
I actually quite like the semi-open neighborhoods of TS4. If you think about it, you're always going to need to have an inaccessible backdrop at some point. I mean, I'm not sure how else it would work, unless your sim is in like a No Man's Sky planet where you can literally walk every inch of the globe, or a Minecraft…
My waitress does that too. I think it might have something to do with her traits though, because it's always the same one. And she never comes back to her shift. :s
But that space in Newcrest is not an actual park lot, it's just neighborhood space. So I don't think you could get a club to show up there and clean. The messes are out of control in my game too. I don't mind them in theory, but the problem is that the children show up unsupervised and there's nobody there to tell them off…
Seconding this idea! It would save me so much space if my business owners could live on their business lots. Also, having other ownable community lot types (like the LittleMsSam mod), and maybe even combining lot types like TS2 & TS3 did. Like having a cafe/lounge where both parts function. Or museum/retail,…
Something changed in one of the recent patches. This was never a problem before, but now sims gender preferences are all out of whack. My sims are rolling whims for sims that they shouldn't be according to their established gender preferences, and also romantic interactions are popping up on the suggested interactions menu…
