I have the same problem. My old game version: 9.0.73.012001 The 'new' game version: 6920-1.25.3.012001 Plus the red tagged error files: Examining File : /Contents/Frameworks/version.txt -> SHA1 Error Examining File : /Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims…
1. Describe what happens (is it just lagging or does the game actually freeze?) I'm experiencing both lagging and brief freezing. 2. Had you experienced freezing/lagging in your game BEFORE the patch? Yes, with Bridgeport. 3. What 'hood? Also, were you in a hood you had been playing prior to the patch, or was it a new…
I'm in the same boat. Did a complete re-install w/o any custom content other than what was purchased from The Store, applied the latest patch and I still get lags and freezes. I noticed that on one occasion about 40 or so sims were all congregated around the side of the theatre. They looked like they were all freaking out.…
Same here. At first I thought it was just my iMac being older (ie. 2g 'al') but from following the various threads that may not be the case. Also experiencing the other issues as well (unable to complete tasks because of missing lots, etc).
I have the same problem. I get the notice to go to 'x' location to shoot a b-roll film and all I do is stand there and do nothing. Maybe I need a film movie camera but where to get/buy?
So far I'm having problems with: - after completing a design/reno job I loose all sounds except for background music - self employed jobs often can't be completed because the number of items made never registers. iow I had to make 4 sculptures, I completed 2 but can't click on them to sell/remove them off the spinning…
Funny you should mention that. I too have noticed times where it seems to hang/lag longer than normal but this has been always with any new worlds I've dl'd - not with Sunset Valley or Riverview.
I suspected as much. I backed up 'my' sims3 folder, deleted and re-installed. Took a few tries but I now have a working 1.2.7 version. Now if I could only figure out how to re-dl'd riverview....... :(
Same thing is starting to happen to me too. So far restarting my iMac has always solved the problem. I admit though it's a bit annoying to have to do this.
I'm running a 2007 Al iMac 2.8ghz w/4gig ram and ATI HD2600 graphics chip. OSX 10.5.7 Sims3 is running VERY smoothly for me using the default game settings. Compared to Sims2 the game play is like night and day. No choppiness, no crashes and the uniform timeline throughout the neighbourhood and sims is a blessing.
I bought it and installed it yesterday on my 'Al' iMac w/4gig ram. Some minor 'first day' hurdles with the EA site in registering, downloading Riverview and the sports car but within 24 hrs these issues were resolved - plus I even got my $10 simbucks credit for buying the CE version. I admit I'm not an avid game player. My…
