Yes, I got the Ultimate Collection for free back when they were still offering it. I've only played it for 2 hours or so, though. It tends to crash after about an hour, and I haven't had a strong enough urge to play it to take the time to figure out if/how I can stop the crashing. Lol, in my case, I didn't technically fake…
I'm not sure of any Star Wars gameplay mods, but here's some CAS CC I found: This tumblr user creates a lot of CC of Star Wars aliens - https://garrettel.tumblr.com/ Luke Skywalker Return of the Jedi outfit - https://maxismatchccworld.tumblr.com/post/640637603821043712/luke-skywalker-rotj-set-dont-worry-mr Padawan braid…
Yeah, I also thought that hairstyle was maybe not the best choice to show off the new colors. It's a nice hairstyle, but the curls do seem to have a lot of highlighting on them that makes the colors look different than they would on a lot of other hairstyles. I took a few screenshots comparing that hairstyle to a different…
Oh, aw! It did seem during the livestream that the new hair colors were being previewed for the next upcoming patch, but I guess that was a mistake. Disappointing, but I did feel like the colors we saw could use a tad more polishing, so it's probably for the best! Anyway, thanks for posting this, I hadn't seen that.
Interesting. I wonder why it would be necessary to almost completely change the UI for that feature though? I hope too that they'll clarify it a bit. I mean obviously it isn't the end of the world and doesn't affect gameplay, I just really, really preferred the old version lol.
Oh nooo I hadn't even thought of that :D I use CC hair most of the time these days so yeah, it won't feel good saying goodbye to old favorites if they get broken and the creator is no longer updating.
Yeah honestly, I agree. I mean, I'm glad to see these new hair colors, but it was always a bit shocking how limited TS4's hair color options have been. The Sims of all games should have extensive character customization, just on the basis of the kind of game The Sims is. But I feel like there's a number of games that are…
Yeah, I agree. Working from home undoubtedly slows things down. I might cross my fingers for an EP around the end of June, but I wouldn't be totally surprised if it could be July or August like you said.
Sure, but my point is that you're going to see a lot of people owning a game if it was available for free at some point. Especially with a recognizable name like The Sims, people will download it just to "try it out" since they can easily uninstall later - there's no cost to just give it a go. The fact that they didn't…
Yeah, honestly, I agree with you. I'd find it a bit odd if teens were much shorter than adults. I think of my teen sims as being 16-17 and most kids that age are not shorter than me. I think the real solution here would be to give sims aged teen or older different height options to choose from, but I doubt that will happen…
Not to go off topic from the overarching conversation (and apologies if it's already been mentioned), but this is most likely because TS4 was free for PS+ subscribers at some point last year. I also own TS4 on PS4 because of that, but have only played it once, for about a half-hour lol.
The closest I've come to giving a Sim ancestors is making a single sim and then creating parents for them so that their future children have grandparents. Creating historical ancestors for a Sim sounds like a neat idea, but personally there's too much unavoidable "modern" aspects of TS4 that I can never get immersed enough…
I want to know what's new for jealous sims as well. I tried playing a jealous sim for a bit and she did slap her husband after he kissed another sim, but I don't know if that's new/exclusive to the jealous trait or not..? I imagine someone here will know. I haven't played jealous sims that often, nor had any of my sims…
Yeah. If you really want changes to be a surprise, then avoid reading the patch notes or something. Personally I find vague patch notes incredibly grating - with any game, not just The Sims. There's a number of reasons why knowing exactly what's been tweaked/is new can be helpful to a player.
Same. I’m excited at the thought of traits getting updated, but I’m not going to get my hopes up about anything specific when we have so little info on what ‘Trait Improvements’ means.
Interesting that the bunk bed in that screenshot has two different swatches of beds. I'm not getting my hopes up yet, but I'll be very pleased if we can choose the bed swatches individually.
Ugh, I hope not. If they improve traits and then nerf the 'negative' ones, I just might start a serious campaign for TS4 to have Easy, Medium and Hard mode settings (or maybe something like "Peaceful, Normal, and Chaotic" would be better names). I'm so tired of TS4 being all sunshine and rainbows with sims barely ever…
Came across this lovely formalwear while I was re-dressing some townies.... At least the shirt and skirt kinda match?? But then the glasses.... and I don't know about long evening gloves paired with a pencil skirt. :D
I have two custom starter saves (made by myself) that I use to when I start a new game. One is basically the normal game, just with Newcrest filled. The other is my “Alternate Universe Starter Save” with the townies completely made over. But I use the normal one 99% of the time, I just prefer the classic townies.
I’ll probably buy TS5, but not necessarily ‘whatever Maxis’ next AAA title is’. I currently have a wait-and-see outlook for Paralives. Sometimes indie games make great promises and don’t deliver. Sometimes The Sims does that too :D but I have a vested interest in The Sims, so I’ll no doubt get TS5 on sale at some point.…
I have a decent number of mods and CC, but I haven't reached the point where "Vanilla is drowning". Here's the full list of mods I use and who made them: For the most part I just use mods to tweak certain things I don't like about the game here and there. I don't have very many that are intended to add actual gameplay. As…
