Sometimes I’ll make an established house and the sims that live there, move them in with free real estate before I cheat their money down. Other times, I won’t and just let them go with only a hundred simoleons to their name.
I like new big worlds and delete the lots myself anyways to rebuild from scratch. While it’d be nice to have a clean slate option from the get go, I think there are more valuable tasks that they could do otherwise.
The mod free way to do this is to set the number of bedrooms and bathrooms to 0 for houses you want to keep vacant. Actually learned that from MCCC’s documentation.
I like an even mix of live and build but I’ve always liked building in the Sims. 4 has some parts to improve but it flows better than other iterations. But the point of these lots is the sims that go there.
I would skip it if it’s Star Wars but I’m down if it’s sci-fi. I’m a science fantasy writer and I love certain themes but Star Wars would be really restrictive.
It would have been cool if they were doing new packs but since they’re just going to ignore what people have been asking for to get them sweet Star Wars tie ins, I don’t think we really need to ride this rodeo again of catching up and waiting for the game to get good again. Play the version of the sims you enjoy the most…
I'd rather they add more features to existing packs, like that one survey indicated, than add paid addons for said packs. Cross pack compatibility is great but rehashing stuff just to add a little bit more is a no go for me. I thought we didn't want anymore packs though?
Adding the ability to name cow plants was very easy and more than just lilsimsie asked for it. You could name your bike and wall of meat but not your cow plant. I hope they will add more skin tones, and soon, but I realize that takes a bit more time.
I think if it's not Star Wars, there really needs to be a bigger hint sooner than later that says "not star wars" to quell the coming uprising. Only problem is Star Wars is such that anything between super futuristic tech and ancient relics could be a Star Wars hint.
I think that Future Cube answer is true no matter what, really. Someone is definitely going to get exactly what they want, no matter what comes out - the player base is too diverse to cater to everyone all at once so while some are going to be upset because it's not what they wanted, there's going to be others that love it.
I think it’s a dome of some kind. They aren’t moons or suns but a reflection off the dome. That’s why the icon is so different, it’s what’s inside that is the point. Also, the Viney League diploma case has the reflection of three light sources on it, no matter where you move it. Not necessarily super sci-fi, it could be…
If the new pack is actually Star Wars, I change my mind, bring on Sims 5. I don’t know that I’m ready to reinvest all that time for the 5th time around so I’ll hang with what packs I have until there’s a clear benefit to swap over.
I can't see Star Wars meshing at all with the existing game play. Spellcasters and vampires at least blend in a bit with the rest of the game but Star Wars is so far out there. Werewolves, sure. Plant sims, absolutely. Fairies? ... Well, we'll see. But Star Wars would be very jarringly out of place. I'm also a science…
Viney League Encased Scrolls: Give your degrees gravitas with this fine display. No diplomas necessary-we've already included some for you! I wonder if it's not actually suns or moons but a reflection of a dome. Someplace under glass? With Pigs of the Day? what?
"Bleak. It all just looks so bleak from in here." I asked the Future Cube a bunch of questions (Ask about the Future) but I haven't seen anyone share this phrase yet. Is it a new one?
If it were not for farming getting hyped up too much, I think it would've been better received. I saw a lot of people on this forum get really angry it wasn't farming, then warmed up to the idea after more info came out about it. I'm not saying that's all that did it but there was a real impact there.
I said "pretty certifiable" because while it was posted on an official site in an official context, it could still be just a red herring to get the gears of hype turning. Because it IS so different from the other icons, it's possible that it's a deliberate fake. And because of this leak, someone could make a fake leak that…
Just remember to temper your expectations a lot this time around and be wary of any other upcoming leaks. This one is pretty certifiable, possibly even deliberate, but I can feel the fake leaks storming the horizon already. The last speculation cycle went very badly, everyone was very sure it was one thing and got very mad…
This is what I thought of when I saw it. Especially with that one roof looking like it has points like a sweeping roof you see in old Asian architecture. Whatever it is, the icon is definitely a Rorschach test, lol. It might get an update between here and the announcement.
I think the light blue is the side to a mountain. On the left, it’s just a bit darker that the on the right. I really think it’s at night. Those could be moons but I won’t say it’s space travel yet.
You know, maybe we all should poll outsiders since I feel like there's something we're missing lol. I showed my partner and he said "Astrology" and I can see it. That might be why the blue is the background, because it's a night sky that we're looking at and that's the focus of it. If it was space travel, you think you'd…
That's a good point @simmer_jay. The last two game packs were pretty supernatural or sci-fi between Realm of Magic and Strangerville. Jungle Adventure's curses and skeletons could also be considered a sort of fantasy too. I think we'll learn something sooner than later.
