When you have to demo half the dang house to place a staircase **just** right, then rebuild everything perfectly...and then the game crashes. Argh. But I really like that huge Christmas tree, @Kgaff !

I may have been a bit over ambitious on this design :# This month will definitely be a photo finish for my entry and then I'll be able to check out everyone else's
Eep, maybe I should dial it back a bit then! I usually only play one family, but I populate my world with other sims (instead of random townies). I'm afraid of working so hard on this world and then being unable to play it because it's too fancy for my PC to handle :D

I finally finished my lot. Playtesting it a bit while waiting for all the dang snow to go away so I can get some decent pictures...Only three more sim-days of winter :(
One of the sim kids - who wasn't even *really* sleepy - sleeping in the hayloft of the garden shed. During a snowstorm. I did a quick count in my legacy house and there are 9 double beds, 19 couches, 2 igloos, 1 treehouse, and one bunk bed. And he picks that place to sleep. Granted, the hayloft is technically a bunk bed,…
I know I'm a bit late to the game since Sims 3 has been out for a long time, but I've just started playing without cheating to change my sims' motives. Holy crap, this game is hard now! My family has 6 kids - all children now, thankfully - and they sleep until 7am, then go straight to school. Breakfast/bathroom needs…
Thanks :D I'm remodeling it again right now, actually. They had three kids and I wanted one more, so naturally the game gave me triplets. Time to add some bedrooms...somewhere...
I love this house. I've literally been working on it for years (sometimes I go a year or so without playing much) and I just really love this one. Its probably the only time I've built on a 64x64 lot and I started with just the main craftsman style house and kept expanding as my sims grew. The garage got converted into…
My sims (and their dogs) collect rocks/gems/metals so they always have a stash of expensive goodies around. I just discovered the wonders of irreversible transfiguration though - after years of playing the game, I know. I transfigured part of their collection and I'm pretty sure the entire legacy is set for life now.
Hey, not true! There's a hayloft/bunkbed in the gardening shed along with the spare washer and dryer. It's sheltered...and probably warm from the washer and dryer running all the time. Plus it technically has an ensuite bathroom. What more could you want? ;)
I just decided to try playing without any cheats to fill motives for the first time, ever. Naturally my sim has triplets on the first try :dizzy: I had also built the house with two rooms for children/teens on one side, and a nursery/playroom near the master bedroom. I'm intending to use the house for multiple generations…
I've fallen off the face of the earth it seems, but I finally got a new computer <3 Who knew that sims had things like shadows and facial details? Haha - maybe I can build something for next month's challenge :)
I've never thought about having a set sim/bathroom ratio. I just try and build a pretty house lol Right now I have a legacy house with probably a few more bathrooms than needed, but it looks nice. Three half baths, three full baths, and three all-in-one bathrooms :) My family only has two sims at the moment, but eventually…
Omg, this budget is crazy! Definitely a challenge. Question: can we combine the office and second bedroom into one room? Or do they have to be two separate rooms? All the empty space is driving me crazy without being able to clutter it up!
Do we have to upload a copy of our lot to be included in the stream? Or will pics just work? And are there any of her videos that you can link us to? I'm wondering what building style to go for :)
I've been adding some garden areas to the house lately. I'm kinda aiming for something that looks rustic and not too removed from the woods around it, but landscaped nonetheless. And there's a ton of fireplaces and fountains because those are my favorite things to decorate with :) This is only a corner of the lot - I also…
I didn't even get to building this one - I went and downloaded a bunch of CC for the house, then started doing some renovation on my current house with the awesome CC items :D
