  • You're not doing anything wrong - one of the joys of the game is that there's so many ways to play! Maybe just try something different. Have one single sim in a starter apartment and build up towards the happy (or not so!) family, instead of starting with it. I find having a goal or a target helps keep me interested - find…
  • Brilliant! Thanks - this is really helpful :)
  • Thanks so much :) All these pictures are making me wish I took the time to screenshot when I play!
  • I have a simblr where I put my builds :) If you want to check it out: https://www.tumblr.com/blog/ohsnap-sims I'm looking forward to checking out all your simblrs!
  • Have you tried using the split level technique? Haven't tried it yet myself but I've thought about doing it! https://youtu.be/NOIuVFWh5DY
  • I've just started to do this. I figured that I spend so much time building, I might as well! I'm also making new families and townies, so it's a slow process! I love that it's making me try builds and styles that I usually avoid or are outside my comfort zone. I have a Google note in which I have listed each world along…
  • I decided that I build so much, I might as well customise my own world and make my own save file. It's going to take me a while, as I'm also making brand new Sims to go with all the new lots, but I'm really enjoying it. The thing I like the most is thag it's making me build things that I would usually avoid or are outside…
  • Never... I hate having bad things happen to my sims. I should really expand my play style haha.
  • This is making me want to try playing rotationally... Thanks for all the tips, everyone!
  • I love this thread so much. I like to see how other people use CAS - I have a few fave outfits / pieces that I use way too much, so it's great to get some inspiration from others :)
  • 1. Get Famous 2. Jungle Adventure 3. Seasons (already have) 4. Laundry Day (already have) Thanks guys! Good luck everyone :)
  • I recently got the Toddler stuff pack, and was immediately inspired to make a place for kids and toddlers to go and hang out. Little Rainbows' Playplace See the full Tumblr post here. See the full photo album here. More photos under the spoiler.
  • Hmmmm that's odd. I have the swords in my debug menu - but I don't have Get Famous or Jungle Adventure! One thing always puzzles me about the debug objects. When you search debug in the buy menu, you get a list of lots of options, all of which just say 'debug'. Does it matter which one I click on??
  • The Sims and other video games have been a part of my life as long as I can remember! I usually have one game going on a console and the Sims is ongoing on my laptop. Since I got a new laptop that can cope with it, I'm also playing Planet Coaster right now. My boyfriend and I are playinf Breath of the Wild on the Switch,…
  • I've never used mods until a few months ago. Tried MCCC out but I don't think it added enough to my game to bother with updating it for every patch. I usually use CC but since installing the game on my new laptop, the only CC I have is eyelashes.
  • She's gorgeous! Is she available on the gallery?
  • Haha, thanks for that  I'm 32. Been playing since Livin' Large, back when PC games and software used to come in huge cardboard boxes. What was that all about?!?! Anyway, I still play lots of video games. Sims and Final Fantasy have stuck with me through many years. I love video games and I'm not ashamed to admit it!
  • Thanks for replying! I figured you realise that not eveyone will like every thing, but I'm guessing some of the reactions you got to this were unexpected! Anyway, I'm glad you guys are still as enthusiastic as ever! Thanks for your hard work and I look forward to seeing what you come up with next :D
  • Ok, I should have been more specific. If they were being paid, they weren't being paid for creating Sims content specifically. So they chose to spend their time doing something new for the Sims, when they could have been doing something else. It has been stated already that this was not a paid sponsership. I understand why…
  • Well. This has been a wild ride. I can't help but feel sympathy for the devs who have created the Alexa skill. They were probably super excited to share it with the community, looking forward to seeing our reactions... And then this uproar (and that's putting it mildly) happened. How demoralising for them. I can't think of…
  • I've just started playing legacy households. Before this, I've always had aging off. I thought I'd like long lifespans the most, since I'm used to them having lots of time to do whatever it is I'm trying to achieve, but actually I find that it doesn't move on fast enough... I get impatient waiting for the next life stage.…
  • Phew! That's a lot of holidays. I like the ones you've added in - it's given me some ideas  So far, the only holiday I've added is the 'Okaybowl' which happens close to Love Day. It involves drinking, eating, inviting friends and watching sports, obviously. I haven't had Seasons long and I just experienced my first…
  • Same happens to me. Or I'll search for a hashtag or a creator or a lot that I know exists and it tells me nothing matches.
  • I've had this problem on two different laptops, one with CC and one without. I'm used to it now and I try to save at a point where they won't miss out on any hours of the day. I usually save early in the morning, so it's roughly time for them to get up when I start playing next time.
  • You're right; I could have paid less and still had a laptop that would run the Sims well... But I also really wanted a laptop with a super rainbow keyboard, so I treated myself to a pretty high-range one. It is quite heavy, since it's 17inches, but I'm not planning on travelling with it. I did a lot of research and spent a…
  • I used to have a lot of CAS and build/buy cc but since getting my new laptop I've stuck with the vanilla game. I don't really miss the build/buy cc but I do really miss having more options for make-up and hair... So maybe I'll add some back in at some point.
  • Me too! Since Sims 1, I've been playing on mid- low range computers. I've never had all the packs installed because my computers could never cope with them. Seasons usually killed it completely. So just a few weeks ago I decided to bite the bullet and get a gaming laptop... And it's amazing! The graphics looks fantastic…
  • I've not played most of the careers  Until recently, I would start a new game, play for a bit and then get bored and start again. I've never touched the criminal, astronaut, athlete, gardener and secret agent. I think it's because I like to play more realistically but I would like to break out of my self-inflicted…
  • Thanks for your lovely words, @rosemow
  • I very rarely have big families and / or lots of pets, so the limit is fine for me. I think that throughout my many years of playing Sims, ever since the original game, I've maybe only hit the limit once or twice... I find a big household is too much work, since I quite like to micromanage!
